Chance0421~ I would be so pumped over 19 pounds. I know Drs. know best, but they say that once you lose 10% of your weight, all of your health risks decrease, and you are pretty damn close, so you should be happy and your Dr. should be too.

Thank you everyone so much for the support. We went out to eat tonight and I was pretty good. I had grilled chicken with a cheddar mushroom sauce, but they put very little sauce on (by my request). With the chicken I had cauliflower, rice pilaf and a cup of tomato, mac beef soup. Normally I would get chicken parm, or some fried seafood, so I consider this a pretty big improvement.
So we got some new tips to prepare us for the upcoming holiday. I figured I'd throw them on here so maybe we can all try a couple of them together.

1. Mentally rehearse ahead of time
2. practice "Prepare yourself" habit
3. Have free veggies to snack on
4. Plan to see come of your plate between foods.
5. Use smaller serving spoon/plate
6. THINK mindful eating
7. Don't skip meals
8. Wear fitted cothing
9. Drink plenty of water
10. Focus more on people
11. Enjoy several vegetables to help control foods with higher POINTS value and higher energy density
12. Stop/rest/assess

So I plan on doing pretty much all of the above as I have 2 dinners to go to this year. One will occur around 1PM and the other around 5PM, so I really won't have much time to digest. I plan on loading up on veggies and having a sample of everything else. That is, except for stuffing, which I have decided is the one thing I am NOT giving up this Thanksgiving. I'm not a big dessert person, so no dessert in exchange for the stuffing. We were told at WW to make sure we don't make ourselves feel deprived as we are more likely to pig out at some point if we do.
My plan is to get up in the AM to either walk or workout since I have to work tomorrow after school. I went for a walk after school today, while it wasn't insanely long, it was 30 minutes longer then I am used to. I also added an extra trip around the school today, which includes going down and up 2 flights of stairs and is something I will have to do every day as I have agreed to deliver materials each day to another floor. I also volunteered to teach a weightlifting class a couple days a week in the AM in exchange for free use of the school weightlifting gym (which I might add is amazing for a HS gym). So that will force me to get up in the AM at least a couple times a week once it starts. Oh yeah, I was a competitive weight lifter in college so if you ever need some lifting advice, I'm a good resource. I am rambling on and on and on...

Have a good night everyone!!!

Kim: I am so glad you're feeling better. Sometimes you need to feel badly about what happened, & then use it as motivation to pick yourself up again. I think you have a good plan going for Thanksgiving. I really can't stuff myself too much anymore because it just feels so crappy, so I may load my plate up, but I know I won't be able to finish it. I'm not even gonna waste the calories on dishes I don't even really like. I'm going for the ones I want the most, and that will be that. I'll just eat a healthy breakfast & I'll bring the veggie tray this year so that I can snack on yummy veggies before dinner.

What is everyone else's plans for Thanksgiving?

Chance0421~ Sounds like you have a good plan also. I'm still at the point where I could really stuff myself and feel fine, as I managed to do that a couple times last week. One of the crucial parts of my plan is to go to my WW meeting the night before. Not going to obsess over it, but I WILL be well planned.

Iconised Ghost~ You're lucky!!! Not only do I have one big dinner to go to, but I have another one a few hours later I have to go to.

Success!!! I got my butt out of bed this morning and did a Turbo Jam workout. It was a short one, but it was better than nothing. Not only did I get up early, workout, shower and get everything ready for school, but I left for school 20 minutes early so I would have time to check everything on here. I am hungrier than usual though, so that may be a challenge throughout the day.
I feel like I've been given a caffeine shot!!!

Kim: Good job this morning!! I am sooo not a morning person, so it is never an option for me to get up early & exercise. It will ruin my entire day.

How is my sexy green team doing?? I had an insane food binge yesterday hoping to kick-start my metabolism into losing something for Monday's weigh in. I felt awful last night, so I was excited to get back on the bandwagon this morning. Hope you all are enjoying your Friday!

Ditto on the morning thing, i'd rather work out late at night and then be able to relax, rather than do it in the morning and still have to struggle through the day im doing ok i think, im just scared after weighing in midweek (i know, i know, never ever do that!!) that i wont have lost anything or will even have gained some weight >.< i guess i will just have to wait and see

Drink lots of water, Ghost!! And don't worry. I'm more concerned about us getting closer to our goals & continuing to lose & support each other, than win this challenge. Don't be discouraged!

I used to not be a morning person. But now I have rowing practice every morning at 5:00am. So that changed fast.

I'm sooo tired! Last night, I went to go see Twilight at midnight and then we basically had to go to practice straight after. DUMB idea.

I've been eating pretty okay, but NEED to drink more water.

Hi ladies! Just a quick check in to see how you are all doing! Kim, I'm so glad you are feeling better, and that's great that you did the Turbo Jam this morning! I totally agree with you Chance, this is about us getting to know each other and helping to motivate us to our goals! I like winning, but winning at weight loss is way more important to me than this competition. (wow, that was weight loss infomercial levels of cheesy. but I mean it!)

I finally felt better today as well, and ate really well today. I have my last midterm in about, 8 hours! so I better get to sleep. but after that I will be back to hanging out on the boards more... Have a great rest of your days!

oh and for those of you having trouble getting your water in, have you tried those crystal light packets? those really help me, because I get bored with plain water and definitely prefer it flavored.

Night!!

Hey ladies, just want to check in once more before the weekend really starts up. I'm not sure if I will be able to get on this weekend. I work Sunday, so tomorrow is the day to really worry about. I plan on doing a workout at some point in the AM.
I had some toast and a chicken caesar tonight which was amazing. I only ate half the caesar, so as not to use all my points.

Have an awesome weekend everyone!!!

I did not have a very good OP day. I went out to dinner & went Christmas shopping with my sister in law. I went over by only 400, so it wasn't horrible, but I was trying to be good today. I went for a 2.5 mile walk earlier & then we walked for hours while we were shopping so maybe it evened out in the end. Tomorrow is a new day, so we'll just have to see what happens on Monday.

How did everyone else do?
