Hi all!
I have been gone for a few months, but, have made progress to this board! In the 240s! I came looking for support. Someone brought goodies to work and I really wanted to stay on my WOE.
Hi Gagirl! I want to be out of the 240s ASAP as well! I would love to be in the 230s by November. I have not been exercising for the last 4-5 weeks so, I should start back today, so I can make some progress. I'm sorry to hear about the unexpected death in your family!

Hello, just checking in. Sorry GaGirl, I called you Gaga in my last post, I edited it. A little brain fog. No changes here. I REALLY want to be in the next decade by November, but, I might have to change that to Thanksgiving. Did not start exercising last week. That would probably have been a good idea.

Hi NurseMom! I would so love to be out of the 240's and I hate that I keep making choices that are keeping that from happening. I am at 248 this morning and I would love it if this trend continues. I have felt better about my eating this week; feel like I've been more in control. I have spent the past couple of weekends out so I need to be better prepared if that happens again. I'm in north Georgia and we are still experiencing temps in the 80's so I'm always looking for ways to get my boys out of the house to go hiking or something. I need to pack better snacks than last time because granola bars are not on my plan. Looks like you're on track to get there by Thanksgiving. I'm shooting for that myself.
Kittens, you are a rock star! You are doing amazing! Thanks for checking in over here.

Hello ladies, I am happy to report that I am leaving you. I weighed in at 238 this morning so I will be joining the next group for a while. I hope to see some of you there.

Newby60 - Congratulations! I hope to meet you over there soon!

Gagirl - I hope you got to get out with this mild weather. I'm in Texas, so, I can relate to the warmer climate. What kind of eating plan do you have? I do the LCHF. I started out really good and did that with intermittent fasting. But, I stopped the IF and the loss slowed. I'm thinking of picking that up again.

I love celebrating "new lows" even if it is tenths of a pound! LOL Getting below 250 was a HUGE deal for me bc I remember the time I hit 250 in 2005! So, every little bit down from there is a victory for me. I was 245.0 this morning. the ".0" makes this a new low, so I'm pumped and will move a little more, eat better choices and hopefully see 244 very soon! EEk! Oh, and still holding on to hope that I'll see the 230s by Thanksgiving! **Turkey Lurkey**

Have a great day!

Still here! LOL, still at 245. I'm OK with that, I'm glad it's not going up. Probably won't make losing 5 pounds by Thanksgiving. But, I'm going to try, any loss is a good one, even if it is a pound.
Gagirl, how are you doing?

Hey NurseMom. I have been so busy lately I haven't had time to get on here at all. I am maintaining at 248, which is frustrating, but better than gaining. I'm hoping to lose a couple before Thanksgiving next week. If not, I will get back on track after Thanksgiving and work hard at it until Christmas. I hope! I typically do LCHF, and friend and I recently tried paleo, which is pretty much the same thing, just a little more restrictive. Our after Thanksgiving plan is to get back on Paleo and do the best we can until Christmas. Hope everyonehas a great Thanksgiving!

My last attempt I went from 240 to 221 then gained back up to 250! I'm so unhappy with myself.

I went to my Dr to see how close I am to diabetic and he told me in becoming insulin resistant. He suggested I only eat food with a 10 carbs to 1 fiber ratio at the most and try to keep it 5 to 1 or lower as much as possible.

My standard diet had pretty much all carbs no fiber so this is a huge change. It took me a couple of weeks to even start trying.

I started on Saturday. I've wandered the grocery store twice since just looking for food I can eat. There is so little!!

I have been able to stay on plan for a week, though. I started on Saturday at 248 and I'm down a bit. I feel like getting to 240 will be the first step in feeling it's actual weight I lost and not just water weight.

Gagirl, I had a great Thanksgiving, ate mashed potatoes that I hadn't had in almost a year, just a small portion, they were great! I went right back on the LCHF the next day. I've lost a couple of pounds, so happy! I'm finished with my degree, so I will have more time to dedicate to getting back into exercising. How was your Thanksgiving?

Hi TanksGirl! Sorry that you gained, but, it's good you caught it and got back on the wagon! There is great videos on YouTube with Dr. Jason Fung who wrote the Obesity Code, he talks about insulin resistance and fasting. (I am insulin resistant as well.)I just did a 22 hour fast and finally got past 245 where I had been for about a month! I love the low carb life. There are great low carb recipes and can replace just about anything your are missing. I found a tuna casserole that I LOVE, instead of pasta, you use cauliflower and broccoli. It's been about a year for me and starting was kind of hard. Insulin resistance is hard to deal with, but, you can do it!!

Hi ladies! I did three days of fasting last week: 21 hours one day, 22 hours one day, and 32 hours another day and lost 2 pounds! Whoop! Hope my trip out of 240-ville will be ending soon! I hope you all are doing well, I know it is such a busy time of year!

I'm at 241. I've been in the 40s for a few months just waffling back and forth. I started weight watchers 5 weeks ago though so that's helping and hopefully I'll get into the 230s sooner rather than later. Then just 90 to go!

Gemini6: Hi! And, I know what that is like...I tend to get stuck in the 230s for ages, so I'm hoping that won't happen to me again when the time comes. It's weird how there are certain weights along the way that our bodies just stick to like glue, lol. And, nice job on the steps!

Defatify: Hopefully WW will help shake it up for you, and we'll all move on down through the decades together!
