You know, when the majority of processed foods are removed, it's really hard to eat 1600 in a day, let alone 1700!
I've had one full day with the BodyBugg, and I admit, it's a pretty cool toy. I was fortunate to have the funds to get the whole shebang: the bugg, the display, a year online support. I'm still exploring everything. The bugg tracks how many calories are burned through activity; how much "real" activity takes place (in time); and steps. During setup, it interacts with questionnaires that I filled out on the web. The questionnaires yield a suggested menu (according to my preferences), suggested workout plans, how many calories to eat and to burn.
I have to enter online my foods consumed. The online site then analyzes the nutritional data. I also download the data from the bugg to the website, where it analyzes everything together.
There is also a lot of other nutritional/fitness information available on the site.
Now, whether any of this will help me break my plateau in a healthy way, remains to be seen. Supposedly a "coach" will be calling or emailing me in a few days. I'm guessing that's a real person? I'm not sure what this part of the "program" is.
Right now, I'm eating my own choice of foods, and following my own workouts.
Kukkie Water right before bed is always bad for me, too.
Carter Are there snacks that your partner likes, but you don't? That is how we handle that situation. The only snacks/sweets that we have in the house are the ones that I don't like, but DH's does.
Ona Great job maintaining!
Salley I hope you got all of your rest.
Angie Congrats on the 1.6 pounds!
KimL1214 Great job on that pound.
Steph Great job meeting your goal. My good friend doesn't like veggies, either. I'm the opposite. I eat 1-2 pounds of veggies a day.

My numbers are all over the place. But I know what I need to do. I need to make sure I am getting enough water in me. When I am at work its easier, but when Im home I tend to forget to drink. I plan to be back at 167 by the middle of the week.
Goodmorning everyone.
Jldsgirl, my baby girl does the same thing. Last night she sat up in her crib whining and playing with the sheetsaver. I left her in there, and she eventually went back to sleep, but every so often she will wake up screeming for about 2 mins and go back to sleep. Some nights she will sleep straight through and others she would wake up several times throughout the night.
Good Morning, Everyone! I hope you have a great week!
I woke up feeling really swollen and bloated this morning. It showed on the scale, too. I am assuming this is from TTOM since I have been 100% on plan. The only thing I can do, is what I can do. That's to keep working my food and exercise plan and wait for TTOM to pass.
Diana, what does this phrase mean, "snacks I don't like?" I can't think of a snack I don't like, really. My partner wants to keep things like nuts or Indian spice mix around - and I can't blame her for that, they are not unhealthy things to have in the house. They just aren't things I can control myself with, especially once I start. (I also sometimes snack on my own foods, like the naturally low fat middle eastern cheese that has been a staple of this process for me! Go figure.)
It will be fine, once they are out of sight again. I also have to get back into the habit of doing the kitchen chores earlier in the evening, so I am not walking into the kitchen late, when i am tired and have weaker resolve.
Last night, I remembered at 11:30 that I wanted to boil some eggs for the week. I was nervous about doing kitchen tasks at that hour but I kept my focus and didn't dip into anything. I just got in, made the eggs, and got out!
Anyhow. I stayed within my calories yesterday (my new, adjusted calories, as I discussed in another thread), got two medium walks in but no hard workouts, and woke up today with a slight bounce up to 163, one up from my current low. As long as that is as high as the bounce goes, I'll take it!
All right folks enough about me - good luck and good strength to all of you!
WI #160.0 again..Thought for sure I'd be down a little today cause i had such a good day yesterday all around..Oh,well...Live to fight another day
Been eating more thin sliced Chicken breast lately..use to always think it layed heavy anyway but found some on sale Going back to eating my broiled fish this week.
Carter,I've struggle with cheese, nuts and wheat crackers for so long.I've come to the realization that i just can't have a lot of them around cause I'd eat them all.I go to the store sometimes just for 2 pieces of cheese(nuts) every other day All the deli people know me When i buy Crackers,i can only have one kind around at a time, then leaving the box in the car so they are out of site.If driving just to get a pack of nuts or 2 pieces of cheese or Leaving stuff in the car is what i have to do to get things under control then so be it
Morning y'all. Down 2.7 to 196. Holy whoosh. Not sure if this is my wonky scale playing tricks or if it's water weight finally coming off, but I'll take it.
I ate two bowls of air popped popcorn during the day, and then stuffed myself silly for dinner with a cabbage-fried onions-pasta dish. I normally don't eat that many carbs, nor do I overstuff myself anymore. The result was, I made it to over 1600 calories with "healthy" food (other higher calorie days have involved either alcohol or refined sugar...), and I dropped .6 pounds.
I'll catch up with everyone later, as I've got to run to a personal training session. I'm interested to see how the Bodybugg registers a "real" workout, vs. one I do at home. The workouts with my trainer are always more intense!
Congrats on another pound down, CaliforniaDreamer! Nice work, getting a farther distance from that 200 mark, Kukkie. Good job maintaining, OnaMi, even though it's frustrating not to see the scale nudge down another notch... Carter, your post cracked me up! I envisioned a stealth military operation, maneuvering in and out of your kitchen, completing the mission without incident! Unstoppable, you're doing great! You've had an amazing week of steady drop; A little bouncing around after that is pretty normal. Diana, TTOM is one thing I haven't missed since my hysterectomy!
"Hi" everybody else!
I had a mini-whoosh and the scale read 162.2 this morning, down a pound from yesterday. I lifted weights today, though, so that probably won't stick. No matter, I'm feeling pretty good the last few days. I want to stay on plan this week - a bunch of friends are coming over on Saturday and bringing lots of tasty stuff that I want to enjoy.
