Hi Tinneranne and butterflies, Cograts on your losses. You are moving on down.My super bowl treats did not do any lasting damage.I'm down to 162.I can see the 150s! My calories were a little off today cause there was a special lunch at work and I have plans this weekend that includes dinner out on both nights.Going to have to plan well. I bought my kiddos boxes of Valentine chocolates today. Small victory--I wasn't tempted.Hope it stays that way.😄

Haha I had to ask my fiancé not to buy me food treats for Valentine's Day. 95% of the time if he brings me a surprise it's food. I'm trying to convince him that cleaning something is an equally sweet gesture.

164.2 today. My weight loss is hella slow but also not much work at all, so I'm hoping I can keep this up indefinitely. As long as things are generally trending downward I'll be happy with it in the long run.

Hey everyone! I've been here on and off for a while, but this is my first time back in a few months. I graduated from college last Spring and hoped that with more free time, I'd be able to dedicate myself to fitness and health. Instead, I've gained 15lbs and have been really lazy with cooking.

I'm at 167.8 as of this morning (about 2 lbs down)! My goal for now is to get to 150lbs by June 1st, so that will take some dedication.

Of course, I've been telling myself all along that I will eat better, get stronger, and lose a little weight, but it hasn't happened. The thing is, if I did what I wanted to 7 months ago, I would've met my goal! So now it's time to really buckle down!

Thanks Tinneranne!

There's room for 1 more in the slow as **** weight loss club lol. My lastest drop is 167.8 to 167.6! Cowabunga! The good news is I got this on a Monday morning which is usually my worst time on the scale after the weekend

163.6 today - yay! I am the tortoise of weight loss. We are going out to dinner for Valentine's Day so I'm trying to keep my meals during the day super light. Sweet potato for breakfast so far, delicious.

Helianthus - hey, 2lbs is nothing to sneeze at. Sometimes it's all you need, to see a little progress at the beginning to keep you motivated! Welcome to our wee board.

Bloomin - seeing a loss after the weekend is a victory for sure.

Do any of you guys have timed goals? Like "5lbs by X date". I was hoping to be 73kg by the end of February but it's super unlikely bc the first week of Feb was a wash in Korea...I'm 74.2 today... I'm kinda thinking that timed goals aren't a great idea for me. Lol. It doesn't really matter how slowly I'm losing weight as long as I am doing it. Thoughts? Does it work for you?

Hi, Great job Tinneranne!Slow and steady wins the race.Welcome Helianthus! Bloomin, I saw a 2 pound gain Mon.Ouch! it happens.Hubby and I had Valentine's over the weekend.Nice dinner out with friends and adult beverages.I knew it was water.Seems gone today.I was 160.8 and 161.2 when I weighed twice this morning. So close. Also, I started at 245 and didn't do timed goals.Too much pressure.I just worry about 5 pounds at a time.Like at 170, I say "anyone can lose 5 pounds" and try to hit 165 and then I say "anyone can lose 5 pounds" and try to get to 160.Five pounds sounds so easy so it helps me.My VDay victory was no chocolate.Only the kiddos got big boxes of chocolate today.I love it, but just like with soda I cannot do just one.I did sneak a gummy heart from the bag I gave my youngest.😃

Miracle - that's a really good idea, and certainly seems to be working for you! You are soooo close to leaving us! I wonder if the 150s thread is more populated? I'm 162.5 today...getting slightly antsy to see that number change. Patience. Patience.

My sweetie got me greyscale macarons for Valentine's Day and they were beautiful but tasted AWFUL...so I got to enjoy them aesthetically without eating them. Hahaha.

Congrats Tinneranne! You are doing great! We will be in the 150s thread soon.I saw 159.6 today.Doing a happy dance.I' m not calling it the 150s yet because I sometimes go up a pound or two over the weekend.Weekends are my tough times.I went to my brother's birthday lunch today. So fun but I am sure I am over my calories. Also got none of the things I needed to do done today.Oh well, enjoying family is more important.

I've got TOM approaching so I'm going to be in this thread for a good while still. Lol. You've got a foot out the door though! Yay! Family is definitely important, dieting to the point that you are missing out on actual life activities isn't sustainable. Good for you for enjoying yourself and not beating yourself up for it.

hi all! newbie here! Ive been stuck in the 160s for the past 2 years. Was wondering, on average, how many pounds do you lose a week? Im counting calories 1200-1500 and working out . Whats the deal? Feeling frustrated

Welcome Chubbychick. When I started out at 245, I could lose 3 to 4lbs a week on 1200 to 1500 calories a day.Now on 1200 to 1300 a day, I seem to be at 1 pound a week.I need to exercise.I refuse to be under 1200 calories a day because I have pretty good metabolism and I want to keep it that way.Still at 159.4 and not calling it yet.I need a whoosh and to see 158 first.150s thread, here we come!😄

Hello welcome to the 60's group!

I lose about 0.4 lbs a week. Now I know you can lose a LOT more, but it's hard because I have a lot going on in my social life. Works for me anyway, sorry you're frustrated! I think as long as you're losing something every week you're winning.

Speaking of which, reporting in for another 0.4 lb drop this week. I'm right on target. I've very happy I managed to lose what I needed because I honestly thought I had f***ed the whole thing up with this crazy weekend I had. Um, for dinner on Saturday I had 6 glasses of wine and ice cream sandwiches.

Very excited to reach my goal next week because I'll finally be seeing numbers I haven't seen since before Christmas.
