Its at the top AND down the side. Possibly not the best ad selection for a dieting website.

What on earth's a 'Big Tasty'???? Sounds like a male porn star!

I posted a thread in SUPPORT section. Maybe if we made enough fuss they'd take it down? I mean I know they need to pay for hosting and such but OMG!

And which TWISTED soul in the mikky d's marketing team thought, "I know.. diet websites! There's an area we haven't exploited enough!"

Well first I thought - NOPE doesn't apply to me, I don't eat at macdonalds...

BUT I know plenty of people on this site who DO have a problem with macdonalds and seeing an advert in their "safe place" might tip them into a binge...

Yup. There are two kinds of sellers on eBay. The 'occasional' kind who are selling off their own goods (normally used) and the professional kind who buy in stock to sell. Even occasional sellers are recommended to declare their eBay income to the Inland Revenue but the professional sellers are treated in exactly the same way as any other on-line retailer like, say, Amazon or M&S. The DSR (Distance Selling Regulations) give the buyer a cooling off period and during that time they can reject an item and demand a refund and they don't have to give a reason. In fact they don't even have to return the item - all they have to do is make it available for collection. PITA!

You're right there - they actually had an advert in the vending machine area at the high school near to here. The parents created such a fuss that it had to be taken down.

What confuses me is why there should be vending machines in the blummin school in the first place!

I have no McDonalds on this page...actually, am proud to say, that would no longer be a trigger for me, I think I had to eat to many times at fast food places all the times we've crossed the large expanse of this country, puts you right off Now if there were to be an oooey goooey chocolate cake picture..........I'd need help.

Sarah - Ellie sounds fab, glad she had fun with the boys yesterday...what sort of car do you have putting three big dogs in to go to the seaside? Hope it's not a mini

Welcome back Lou - hope you get yourself sorted with what you want to do, :fingerscrossed: for you.

Frus - I looked through the Sykes site, they have some lovely places, there's even a huge great renovated barn place near where I grew up and lived, made me all homesick. AND... there was an advert to the side about go Ape, and they have one in Thetford forest, at a place called High Lodge, that's only about three miles down the road from my Mum's house, so next time I'm home, if I weigh under their quota, I'm going I shall be asking my friend about it too, she never said anything about it and she's up there all the time with her kids and rellies...I've told her she needs to keep me up to date on everything, I don't like missing out.

Michelle - hope you're feeling better luvey.

I've weighed for the Christmas challenge.. not good.. was Thanksgiving and pizza, that I know... am off to that thread to repent my sins...
