It looks like everyone is doing great today! Keep up the good work. I am very hungry this morning, but I'm focusing on other things. It's probably because I started counting calories yesterday and I've basically cut my calories in half! No more 2800-3200 calorie days for this chick!
Well I lost a little bit of the gain. I also upped my workout yesterday and my muscles are screaming this morning, so I'm sure some water is going to stick around.
Thanks for the welcome back jacqui!
Tuscany - I have probably lost about 1.5 sizes in 20 lbs, I thought it would be more a little more. At 186 I was in some size 16s and most of my 14s were getting tight. I'm now back into some of my 12s and my 14 are probably too loose. You must be so excited for your trip, its only a few days away! I traveled a little in Europe, mostly England and France, I would LOVE to go back. The culture, architecture, and people are so different and fascinating. I remember walking a ton, so your hard work all summer will definately pay off.
Pixi - Well I conveniently did forget to mention the cake I baked for the weekend.... I love baking but it has made my waistline expand. When I can bake for a group so I don't eat the whole batch, I do it However I did have a couple servings.
Stay Puft - I would really love to see a 15 sometime this month. I think it might be a reach but I hit goal two months in a row, sooo... I'm definately going to try and make it three.
garden - thanks for adding me and congrats on the down tic.
4 days into the challenge and I am down 4 lbs My appetite is waxing and waning and I am having hot flashes followed by cold flashes, which are usually signs of my thyroid going wonky. Have to have labs redone in 2 weeks so as long as I am losing weight I am not going to be overly concerned about my "symptoms".
Emme: welcome back! you can totally do this, you've got this like it is nothing!
Turtle: yay for loss! I also love to bake but thankfully, I don't really like baked goods. I like homemade candy...I only make it for the holidays though!
Gardener: Hope that loss brings a crowd in the next few days
Lovely: that is an awesome loss! I have found water is critical for me as well!
SeaUrchin: I understand the challenges of the weekend. Sunday, my husband's family all wanted to go to a buffet restaurant for lunch. I just refused to look at anything besides the salad bar and rotisserie chicken. I am a very visual eater so small portions leave me wanting. I do better eating unlimited amounts of veg because it tricks my mind into thinking I am eating a lot.
Hm, well, I must have made 196 too welcome, lol, because it's certainly wanting to stick around. I'd really like to have the 195 back, or even better, 194. I started examining if I'm doing anything to cause my weight to stay up, and nope. I had my usual cheat day, but I didn't go overboard on it. I'm walking each day. I drank some water the day before yesterday, but loads of it yesterday. My portions have been good. I'm thinking maybe my hormones might be a little haywire. (2 TOMs last month might be a clue, lol!) Oh well, at least I'm not gaining!
RachelAnne! Sounds like you have a solid plan!
SouthernBell, oh good, that wasn't a bad gain at all!
Rhiko, I agree, a loss is a loss!
Chunkie, nope, the whoosh fairy bypassed my house last night. Maybe tonight!
Tuscany, it's just a matter of time and your scale will be on the move again!
Seaurchin, looks like you are due for the whoosh fairy!
Angelique, good drop!
Puft, good job! My scale's being stubborn, unfortunately.
Cheeri, looking good!
Sum, hang in there!
Leah, yay on the drop!
Pixikat, scale's still moving, good job!
Joy, good for you!
Emme, those first days are always hard as your body adjusts. Stick with it! You're doing great!

I'm voting for your hormones. I'm one of those weird people who gains during ovulation, not during TOM. This is what I remember from when I used to calorie count a few years ago. Maybe your body is doing something like that.
Emme, it's very likely that it's hormones, although it could be that I'm just not used to holding on to my cheat day weight for this long (unless I'm at a set point) and I'm growing impatient, lol! By the way, I just clicked on the link in your signature to your original goal story and pics, and WOW! The transformation is spectacular! I have no doubt that this time around, after having your baby, you are going to do it again! How inspiring you are! All my friends believe I'm 5'9", although I've always thought I was 5'8", and to get an idea by looking at your pics of what it might look like not to be overweight anymore just makes me want to stick to this path even more! I've been a little worried about what I might look like after losing all this weight, and although I'm 52 now and my body probably won't hold up as well as yours, your after-pics help to take a little of my fear away. They are fantastic! Thank you for sharing your story!

That's so sweet of you! Thanks. You will look beautiful! I'm sure you already look beautiful! Being tall has its advantages. People don't believe me when I tell them I'm over 200 pounds. You should measure yourself and see if you are 5'9! I always thought I was 5'8 until my husband measured me three times and said, "Nope! 5'9!"
Turtle I am such a sucker for baked goods! They aren't even allowed in the house for the most part lol The scale will cooperate soon enough just keep drinking your water!
gardner I'm sure all its friends are on their way!
Tuscany omg you trip is just a couple days away! Are you all ready? I bet you are excited! I am trying to set up a summer abroad with my school in Dublin. It is 9-10 months away and I'm already crazy excited lol
Emme, hm, I never thought about being measured after high school and perhaps back then I just wanted to be shorter, because the short girls were just so cute! My DH is 6'5" so he'd certainly be tall enough to measure me!
jacqui If you decide to measure, make sure you are fine with whatever the outcome! I thought I was 5'9 and a half because thats what I always remember being in high school. I measured my height earlier this summer, 5'8 and a half
