Wasn't able to log in yesterday but I did get my work out in.

Oct. 3 - 9 miles
Oct. 4 - 5.25 miles

So, I'm at 18.55/50.

It is such an incredibly beautiful autumn day here in New England that I think I am going to go pick a pumpkin now. I wonder how many miles there are in a pumpkin patch?

You guys have been busy!

Congrats on the PB 5K crazy.

Put in my 3 miles this morning. It's a beautiful Fall weekend here as well, but a busy one. It's Homecoming Weekend, which means a lot of activities for my kids. (Plus a sleepover for the girls tonight and a Pizza party for everyone tomorrow!) I can't wait to go back to work on Monday .

I got a late start this month because of my hip pain. I had my hip injected on Wednesday for the third, and I hope, last time. When I have had the joint injected before, I have not had much pain afterwards, but wouldn't you know it, my leg was killing me on Thursday and Friday, so I did not get my miles in. I got some new bike shoes with thingies that attach them to the special pedals. They are NOT called "clips" I learned that much, but I don't remember what they are called.... Anyway, I did three miles with my new pedals and am off to seach for advice on using the new pedals since I am not sure how they are supposed to work exactly. There is some sort of a stroke you do with your foot/leg with these pedals that you don't do with regular pedals, and I don't seem to have the technique yet, but it's fun to have a couple of new toys to play with. So I got three miles done today, and I should get that many in again tomorrow if all goes well.

10/5 +3.5 = 14.5 miles

I've been adding more jogging to my usual routine these last few days and boy, did I feel it this morning! I'm hoping that once I drop some more weight, it will be a bit easier on my hips and knees. I think I'm going to change up my routine for now - go back to just walking @ at pretty fast pace (without the jogging) and add some miles on my bike to amp up my cardio. I want to put in a worthwhile workout, but I still need to be able to get out of bed the next morning!

Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

Cool still chugging along

on Friday I did 3.5, even tried .75 rowing. Thats not that much fun. Sunday I biked 8. So now I'm up to 2.5 + 3.5 + 8 = 14. I'm excited to get on with this. Although I'm sort of thinking the biking is cheating. Its way easier than running or rowing. But still happy to put in the miles.

Hiya Ladies, 1 mile walking in for me today! I didn't get any done yesterday due to a wedding, but I had a great time with my friends! Wearing heels all day killed my legs though!

Yesterday was my off day so nothing there.
Oct. 6: 18.55 + 9.25 = 27.8/50

scottluther-I have the same issue. It kills me to run 3 miles but I can bike 10+ without dying after I am done. Doing it is what's important!

jahjah1223-Wow! Those are some big goals. Good for you!

These are for everybody else that is movin' to 50!!!
