I just got home from some shopping. I was walking around the store and as I passed the Mirrors I would glance at myself. WOW! I definitely see a weight loss! Especially in my but and hip area. I'm really starting to believe that the scale is not the only way to tell if you lost weight. I'm just so amazed and so proud of myself for not giving up. Me and my BF were driving and I said to him that my Bras are getting loose around my back and arm area, and he said to me "I'm noticing your figure" . That felt great to hear him say that!

I weigh in tomorrow, and I probably just maintained. I'm more then okay with that! I had a bad week with the vacation and everything. I know I lost some inches in my thighs and waist but I don't measure until June 1st.

I must say that I'm not only really proud of myself but I'm also really proud of everyone here! Weight loss is really hard. All of you are doing such a GREAT job!

I just wanted to share my good feelings with everyone....Have a great rest of the day!

Oh...One more thing. I was looking up weight loss quotes and I came across this awesome website! Most of you probably already know about it but for those who haven't it's great!

www.getting2goal.com

Here is a poem that someone wrote. The Author is unknown. I read it and loved it and so I wanted you guys to read it..............

Don't Quit

When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down,

And you feel like the biggest failure in town.

When you want to give up just because you gave in,

and forget all about being healthy and thin.

So What! You went over your points a bit,

It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit!

It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.

It's learning the skills to get back in your range.

It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now.

You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."

It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal.

You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.

To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,

if you summon the will to get back in the race.

But, often the struggler's, when loosing their grip,

Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.

And learn too late when the damage is done,

that the race wasn't over...they still could have won.

Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,

but facing each challenge will help you grow.

Success is failure turned inside out,

the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.

When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit,

If you bite it, you write it....But don't you quit!

Hi all - another good day for me. Weigh-in showed a 1.2 lb. loss for this week

I got a lot of cleaning done today, which felt really good. I have been slackin' lately. I made some high-protein breakfast bars that were pretty good. I think I will still tweak the recipe a bit, but it was the first time I have baked anything in months and months.

Well, my scooter is a hit with co-workers and DH. In fact DH likes it so well, he is thinking of getting one too. He likes the idea of scooting around town together. We will see if he actually orders one. There goes HIS half of the tax rebate too! We definitely have helped stimulate the economy

Hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday!

Stay strong, and I hope you were able to earn your badge this week - 516 minutes of exercise was a bit much for me, but I made it (only because I counted some of my cleaning time today)

Hello all! Thanks for all of the Birthday wishes. I had a nice day. I went way overboard on my dinner, but it was delish! Now that the leftovers are gone, I'm back on plan!

May - congrats on the degree!

Diva - I didn't realize Siamese cats started out white. My dad raises dwarf bunnies. He has a lot of Siamese ones (or has in the past - I haven't live with my parents in almost 20 years and my memory is going! ) I wonder if his started out white too? I bet so...I remember seeing baby white ones and thinking they were albinos.

Counting - I'm glad the scooter was a hit. It's very cute!

ThisTime - thanks for the poem and website! I'll have to go look at it when I get some more free time.

I did my final numbers for the challenge. My numbers weren't as good as a few days ago. I'm getting cramps so that could be a contributing factor. I'm actually glad TOM is here because my Florida vacation is in 2 weeks and that means TOM won't be tagging along!!

Hello to everyone else! Have a great weekend!

Good evening . . . just got my workout in. I can't believe I actually did all my miles for the badge this week. It's the first time I made it.

I've been reading the posts by those who struggle because the weight comes off so slowly. I'm like that too. It doesn't seem to matter how well I eat and exercise. My body just works slowly. It's hard to stay motivated with clean eating when it takes a long time to see results. But we can do this together even if it takes a while!

DH and I are supposed to be going out tonight. So my check-in has to be short. I hope you're all doing great.

Hello and happy weekend to everyone -- I'm feeling so guilty for not keeping up on any personals -- but I do try to at least read up on everyone and try to stay on track for the Red Team!!

Since my husband is working tonight, I decided to incorporate a little running into my 30 minutes on the treadmill -- when he's home, I am too self conscious to do it, since I know it rattles the house !! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I'd love to work up to 1/2 of my time running -- maybe by my birthday in September???!!

Hope everyone is doing well -- I've had a rough week because of that darn TOM -- I think since I'm done having kids, this should just go away too -- it has outlived it's usefullness to me!! Hoping to stay the same this week, since I almost always show a gain this week.

Have a great night, get lots of sleep and may you rise and shine in a good mood, with a nice day ahead of you!!

Good Evening Red team! Just wanted to remind whoever happened to be first to check in tomorrow to start us up a Red Team Chat #4

I'll also be posting up our challenge in the morning too its basically going to be points/dollars based. You get a point or a dollar (however you prefer to do it) for completing each thing. And then you reward yourself. Easy schmeasy but I'm hoping its going to get us and keep us on track for those of us struggling with the food part.

Was anyone interested in taking the presidents fitness challenge? And then seeing how much better we are in the last week of the challenge? Maybe I'll make that a way to earn a couple extra points LOL!

See you in the morning!

I did the craziest thing today. It's been kind of an off week. My exercise has been basically nonexistent and my eating was a little bad too. It was really bugging me that I wasn't going to get my exercise badge this week, so I decided to attempt to do over 5 hours of exercise today. My bf and I walked to a bookstore that was 8 miles away. We walked 16.1 miles today! I was so tired I actually started crying towards the end. My feet have blisters and my knees and hips hurt like crazy. I'm supposed to go mountain biking with some people from work tomorrow. I don't know if I can make it or not.
