The scale isn’t budging, and at least I’m still under 200. I know it’s just a number, but it still packs a psychological wallop!
I planned for a high calorie day yesterday, and had one heck of a time getting in as much as I did. I found myself eating waffles with butter at 10 PM as I was still under 1200! Man, after working so hard to cut out simple carbs and saturated fats, it’s not easy to get in the calories. I have little control around things like sugar and carbs, I just don’t keep them in the house. People gave me lots of dark chocolate candy over the holidays, and I’d eat ten/twelve candies in a sitting! Yet,
that is when I lost the weight! I’m trying not to use that as an excuse to go back to my old addictive ways, and use
real food to bulk up on the calories.
Thanks,
Rennie, OnaMi, Angie, and Diana for your support!
Omgzitsmiranda Look at you go!! Great job! You deserve that maintenance day.
Steph I’m sending you some good energy to knock you off your plateau... maybe some of it will bounce back to me!
Rennie You’re creating new treasured moments with your baby now, as she’s sharing this experience with you over the phone. I bet the next time you see her, she’ll be blooming with a confidence and poise all her own! Well done, Mama!
Carter I hate it when the nibble monster is prowling. Maybe it’s time to really pig out on something, like as much steamed cabbage as you want (add some corn and fresh grape tomatoes, and onions fried in a little olive oil... I’m getting hungry...).
Congrats for you ladies maintaining (thereabouts) and dropping!
Diana your back in the 140s... yea! Good on you for ongoing recovery from the holidays...
Jldsgirl Get that rest, it helps getting the pounds off
Angie Nearly 5 pounds gone so far this month?! Wow... whatever you’re doing, it’s sure working. I just started making protein smoothies, too, to help with my workouts. I use greek yogurt, too, but with unsweetened almond milk and bananas, with hemp protein, and spices. I’m drinking them after my heavy workouts.
Coondocks Good luck with family drama, and avoiding stress eating with all the Ukrainian comfort food available...
OnaMi I don’t think it’s possible to eat too much broiled fish... Be kind to yourself and get that rest you need...
Runningfromfat I gave up trying to catch up with everyone, there’s so many people here! It’s a great group, and I’m glad to be part of it... most of the time, I’ve only got time to just post my stats.
