Hi everyone. Just got done with a 30 minute walk and then had some lunch. Wanted to get my walk in before some much needed rain came. At least we finally have beautiful temperatures in the 70's. Great for having the windows open and going out for walk.

Brenda...glad to see you still here..By your stats it looks like you've been doing pretty well overall on the weight loss. Ups and downs definately occur, but at least you are so close to your goal.

PJ....I private messaged you with my cell phone number. It seems I spend a lot of time at tumbling practice with Emily. Since she is on team, she spends about 10 hours a week at the gym practicing. She really seems to love it, and has she ever gotten strong! She now does 100 push ups and 100 situps everyday with no problem. Oh to be 8 years old again!

Well, better get some email sorted through. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Hi Susan,

Yes I have made alot of progress but I am going back up now and I really have a hard time stopping the upward spiral once it starts, I am holding my own for the last few weeks or so with a 9.5 gain and I am trying to get it to start going back down again, this is a new week and we will see how it goes from here.

Everyone, I posted pictures of my new grandson in a sticky thread, check it out!! He looks a bit red and shriveled up, LOL but he is a sweetie.

See Ya
Bren

Hi Everyone,

Boy was I unhappy when I got on the scale, I am now up 12#'s, it may have something with my monthly though. I have not had it in 6 months and now that I am off the Depo shot it should be showing up soon. I feel very bloated. I am going to try and have a perfect OP day which will be the first one in months, LOL!!

Hi Lauree, Nice to meet you. I am glad you stopped in at the nest and I will look forward to getting to know you better. The nest is pretty empty right now but it tends to fill up fast once it gets going. I am a new grandmother Sept 12 actually, a bouncing baby boy but he is in Virginia so it will be awhile til I meet him

Hi Candiceand thanks. Wow you are really on the ball with maintaining. Hopefully some of it will rub off on me.

See Ya

Made it through my first week back and weight watchers....

drum roll please...I lost 3.2 pounds. I know its the first week, and it goes quicker in the beginning, but I'll take anything I can get.

We are finally getting a routine here at home with the kids in school finally. It is amazing how quickly I get out of the normal day to day activities when the kids are home. I've been working on Darren's room cleaning out good this week. I'm hoping to start painting his room next week.

I also have started some quilts again. I'm making 4 quilts as Christmas presents this year, so I have my work cut out for me.

Welcome Lauree This is a great group of women here who have really been helpful with my weight loss. I look forward to getting to know you.

Well, better get my last few chores done before Emily and Darren get home. Then it's off to tumbling practice again.

Hi Bren:

This is Freddie in Hampton, VA. Virginia Beach is not that far from here. The only problem is the traffic. Are you going to visit your daughter? Was your grandchild born Friday the thirteenth? My sister's birthday is September 13 and she was born on a Friday.

I bet you look real good in the 150-lb class. Good for you and keep going because you are young and can do it.

Default hey all

Hi everyone, how's it going? not too bad here. I've been trying my hardest to stay on program though. I've been able to drink my 64 oz of water. I'm also taking cider vinegar tablets, hoping they'll work.

Welcome to the group Lauree! The girls are great.....they are always here when you need them. even if you leave for a long time, you can always come back and they'll be right here! I know when I was gone for at least a year or so I thought for sure there would have been a new group entirely. I was wrong though.

EFNB...I'm in VA BCH!!!! I had no idea you were in Hampton. And she's right Bren.....the traffic does suck! It's terrible during rush hour like anywhere else, but it seems like it's 10 times worse here then where I used to live. but anyways...that's it from here on this end. Hope everyone is doing well on program. I'll catch up with everyone later. Take care and good nite!

Default To Deadfish

Hi from Freddie in Hampton. The name "Deadfish" rings and bell. But I am getting so old that I have a bad memory now. Went to a Urologist today and go to a Cardiologist next week. More fun!!! The urologist won't do a procedure on me to help my bladder leakage problems until he gets an okay from Heart Doctor. Heart problem showed up in a Cat Scan. I sure did not know. I have always told all general doctors of my family history of heart attacks. Mother died at age 49 - second heart attack. Older sister died at age 54 - first heart attack. Father died at age 69 - first heart attack. Younger sister had a triple bypass 5 years ago. That is all in my immediate family. All uncles and aunts died of heart attacks. I guess I am lucky so far because I was 79 in June.

Thanks for letting me know that you are in Virginia Beach. I haven't been there for a while but have a niece who lives there (but not too near the beach).

Brenda - AAAAhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe how absolutely beautiful your grandson is! and he does NOT look all red and wrinkled.......I've seen some NASTY looking newborns that really WERE all red and wrinkled and that kid is NOT one of them. I'm so excited for you all. I'll bet you can't wait to hold him. I hope Brianna is going to straighten out....babies have a tendency to do those things to us "mothers"......you know, change our perspective on life and put THEM before ourselves. Anyway, can't wait to see more pictures and you certainly don't look like any of the Grandmas I know. Heh-heh.........CONGRATULATIONS......

Hey Freddie - I see you finally made it to the board. I was wondering when you'd get over here. I'm so glad to see you posting but I'm not so glad about what you're posting about. I'm worried about your heart condition. My father had a quadruple bypass two years ago and just went back in to have four stints done again. Just please take it easy until they decide what they're going to do to control your problem. Geeez, I haven't even had a chance to visit you yet........so rest up to party with me...... Bill is in California again. They're all going to NAPA VALLEY this afternoon and I asked him to get me a couple of cases of really nice reds and whites. I LOVE Pinot Noir but would really like to have alot of variety on hand to fill the built in wine rack this kitchen has for the upcoming holidays. You girls DO realize it's just around the corner, right? So Freddie, if Bill stops flying around so I can start visiting MY friends......I'll come for that visit I was talking about.

Susan aka SLF - Well it's about TIME you got settled. Just kidding.....I've STILL got several boxes here and there and I've been here for almost 6 months now. Boy did that go fast. So when are we going shopping for window treatments. I AM going to get there. I've got you and Freddie on my itinerary......AS SOON AS BILL STAYS HOME SO I CAN FINALLY GO AWAY!!!!!!!! Ahhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Tara - It's so great to see you here!!!!!! Stop in more often, huh? We miss you here.

Well, that's it for me......have a few errands to run and then I'm CRASHING tonight. Just the kids and me so I'm ordering Chinese. I LOVE the steamed dumplings and
Hugs to you all,

Bring Bill with you; he doesn't have to stay home. Of course you will have to sleep in a regular size bed - not King or Queen. When my son and daughter-in-law were here. She made him go sleep downstairs on the sofa because my bed wasn't big enough!!!! I think he was happy with the arrangement. She found QVC on my no-cable TV and he watched whatever he could find on the TV in the living room. I believe reception is better upstairs than downstairs.

Hi Everyone,

My grandson Taylor is in the hospital with Jaundice pretty bad but should be fine. The doc said anything over a 10 is high and he is at 23 so I am a bit worried but I am sure he will be fine

PJ, he is kind of cute isn't he? LOL I just wish I could snuggle and cuddle him but it's not in the cards right now.

Oops kid screaming gotta go

Hi Punky:

I hope Taylor is okay now or, at least, improving. I bet you look good at 158 because I know that you are taller than I am.

Which of your children live in Virginia Beach? I think I told you that is only 40 or so miles from where I live.

I go to see a Heart Specialist Tuesday, Sept. 24th. If he gives his okay, I can then get the sling procedure (whatever that is) that the urologist wants me to have to help my bladder stress incontinence.

Love, Freddie, FNB, Effenbee

Bren: Sorry to hear about your grandson. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon and will be home with mom and dad! I'll be thinking of him.

Effenbee: good luck at your doctors' appointment on the 24th. Hope they'll beable to give you a heads up and get the help you need to make you feel better

I weighed in this morning and lost 1 lb. Better than nothing right? I'm back to where I was before my vacation to California. YAAAAAY! I"m excited. Now I just need to push myself to lose some more. Exercise is a struggle for me. I guess I'm just too lazy. I bought these cheap bungee things to use to work out my arms and legs, but I've only used them once so far. I dont know what I'm gonna do. How do you get the motivation to get out there and do exercise. I keep saying that I need to start doing my taebo too! Any suggestions to get my butt moving?
