I have been mia for a few days. I guess I got tired of the net so I dove into my crafts for a few days.
I lost ONE pound! i thought i would have lost more??? hum???
Oh well.
I am wondering what types of meat do you eat?
Red? chicken?
I am wondering if i should give up meat altogether and just stick to fish.Its just a thought I am tossing around.
im kinda a mess today.... no sleepo last night n no lunch today n i had a meltdn at pizzahut-ive also got stuff on my mind i dunno what to do bout so it all got me but i didnt cheat more than usual for a sunday.

Andrea..It isnt that core doesnt work..it worked the week I did it and was careful to only eat "suggested" serving sizes. I measured everything so I would not overeat. So If I am going to measure, I might as well be doing Flex and eating core foods...If not, I end up over eating. So that is the problem.

I normally eat white meat...chicken breast, fish, Egg whites and then once in a while I eat some Venison or Beef. Actually the Venison is the same quality as Chicken Breast, calories and fat wise but I dont have much. Eating fish is a great way to lose weight though. It is a great source of protein and Omega Fatty Acids, both help with weight loss. Plus White Fish is extremely low in fat. But the one thing I do is eat small portions a few time a day...1 or 2 oz. usually 5 or 6 times a day. I eat 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks. White chicken is 1 point per ounce, Egg whites, 2 for 1 points, Most fish, 3 oz. for 2 points. It helps with Blood sugar and keeping it level.
Christie...I know for me, I am really happy to not see a gain...especially when I dont get a loss...So feel good about your results...I could have been a gain...Plus, think about this...if you can maintain during any given week, isnt that a good sign that when you get to goal that you can maintain them too...Just a thought!!! Which of the WW Icecreams do you like best? I love the icecream sandwiches, toffee crunch bars and the ones that have vanilla icecream under fruit flavored sherbert...Very good. I have been hungry for floats and creamcycles. So I bought Sugar Free Low Fat Vanilla Icecream and bought some Waist Watchers Diet Orange Soda and Diet Root Beer. They have been a great 1 point snack.
JJ...Great job avoiding those things...Pizza is a trigger food for me...I love good pizza. That would have been a problem for me...The breakfast though...not a problem. I love Oatmeal with a diced apple and cinnamon and brown sugar. With a cup of Soy milk on the side.
Mine Day has been going pretty good. I havent been counting points the last couple of days. though. Just eating core foods. I keep making these meals that are core and not really thinking about it. I made chili Friday night with Ground Turkey, black beans, tomotoes, onions, garlic, peppers, mushrooms, corn and I think that was all...my hubby ate it right up. Then the Saturday night...I made Goulash with Whole wheat Pasta (twisty ones) shredded chicken, black olives, diced tomaotes, Salt free Tomato sauce, mushrooms and canallini beans...It is really good. Again hubby ate it right up...
Todays menu was mostly core. i had a Low Carb, Low fat Flat out bread. for 1 point and a bagel for 3 points and Reg. Veggie Cream cheese for 1 points. Then a 100cal pack of doritos for 2 points. Everything else has been core.
Tomorrow, we are going to a park and picnicing. I am taking Core Fruit Salad and Coleslaw. Plus Marinated venison Steaks. I am planning on staying core. I will pack lots of water. And I will be able to get some cardio in we are taking some sporting stuff, soccer ball, ball and bat and badmitten. Should be fun if the rain holds off. I was supposed to be raining here...I was right in the path of Ernesto in NY. Like I said, today is supposed to be raining but it is not..I am glad but they said tomorrow will be the nice day and the Tuesday starts raining again. Hopefully, the report will stay the same and it wont rain tomorrow. I dont want to sit under a pavillon all day wrapped up because it is cold.

Kathy- I usually eat boneless skinless chicken breast and I have not gained on it yet (knock on wood) my brother (who is a trainer) makes turkey burgers with cut up onion in them because they are very lean. They are also very yummy
How often do you guys weigh yourselves at home? I heard it is bad if you do everyday but I cant help myself so I was wondering what all you guys do?

If I did not measure, I tend to over ate. I pick, pick, pick ...I dont know why! but I did really good that one week when I measured. I can not explain it.

Well today was good. I got some exercise in...I was walking alot. We went to this park and had a picnic. I cooked Venison steaks, Fruit salad with FF Whipped Cream, SF Fruits, FFSF Pudding and lots of cinnamon. It was really good. I also made a coleslaw with FF Mayo, SFPineapple juice and Onions.
So I was good.
There is a dock that is probably 1/4 mile long...plus the walkway is about the same length...I walked out and back 6 times over the day. I forgot my Pedometer, I will have to go over again and measure it.
After getting home, I had a float with 1 cup of SFLF Vanilla ice cream (2points) and diet Orange Soda

Sorry to be gone for a few days, but it's been a busy weekend!
Wendy, Here is the recipe for the pumpkin pudding. If you like pumpkin you will love this! This recipe makes a very large bowl. I usually cut it in half.
1 large can pumpkin...add the spices on the can
3 boxes ff/sf butterscotch pudding
3 cups skim milk
2- 8 oz containers ff cool whip
Makes 12 servings
1 cup = 1 point

I had my weigh in this morning. I'm down another 1.5. YAY!! I think I may start attending on Tuesday mornings instead of Monday nights even though I'll have to take my two pre-schoolers with me. There is just too much going on at night it seems once school starts.....which was today!
Question: Do you all always get five fruits and veggies in?

congrats!!! i know how rough school routines can get. im partial to mornings anyway but thats just me im finding a similar prob...the last 2 sat nights ive been ditching my cardio so i think i will switch to afternoons w that so i still get it in.
re:f and v's yes i have no prob w tyhat its a huge staple for me im able to take 1/2 watermelon and slice it in 4 even pieces and then i eat 1 whole piece. im the same way w pineapple n grapes
Happy Thursday Ladies!!! Sorry I have been MIA lately, I am preparing for a trip. I weighed in this morning and I LOST 2 lbs!!! Now I am leaving tonight until Sunday for my job and a lot of meetings are set around different restaurants in Chicago but I am still determined to stick my diet. I also have to go to a tailgate party with my company's alumni so what kind of barbecue food would be best for me to eat? Do you have any suggestions for eating out?

my best advice is water water water and walk as much as possible and as for food try n see if a salad is available at dinner and eat that w dressing on the side bf your entree and in general if all else fails, make a deal w yaself: 2 op meals every day and 1 indulgent meal and if it really really is a loss then just split your portions.

I am good here. I was hoping to get back to turbo jam this week but just havent..I have been walking and using my Gazelle to get my cardio in.
School starts on Monday and I will have 3 hours a day alone...Maybe that will be my chance.
Food has been good. Not drinking as much water as normal though I usually drink 140 or more water...I am just getting 100 lately. Just can not seem to get the rest in...
I also plan on getting my house in order.
