  • I just signed up at Calorie King and well..... they put me on a 1500cal/day diet... I would die...JUST an OPINION!
  • Ilene, you don't have to do their diet. I just used it to count calories. It will let you do your own thing. I think it just gives that to you in case you want to follow their meal plan.
  • Cheer for Mindi and Ilene!
I am doing a jig for both Mindi and Ilene who have just lost some inches and fat! Go girls!
Man am I busy lately. Bill and I are looking into purchasing our first home and it has been quite an interesting procedure. Today I am leaving work early to go get the finishings of our loan approval and I already have 14 houses that were emailed to me this morning that Bill and I have to go through. Whew, I am excited though...I want out of our apartment!
  • Mindi -- YESSS Viva La Bootcamp!! Congrats!!

Jamie -- There is nothing MORE exciting than shopping, buying, then decorationg a house... Good for you!!

Shelby -- Thanks for the info... I'll go back and look again...
  • Ilene--they changed it since the last time I used it! I had to navigate around it to figure it out. They really made it a lot better IMO.

Anyway, in your account there was a box that you can uncheck something about a meal plan. Select My Account and then select My Personal Profile. The box to uncheck is under Diet Profile.

Also, if you want to add a food that's not in their database or it's something you eat all the time (like cottege cheese!!!) you'll want to add it to MY FOOD. That way you don't have to always search for it.

If you have any other questions feel free to email me at [email protected]
  • Jamie- Good luck with the house hunting and buying! Last May my partner and i purchased our first house. 5 months later we were able to move in. The minor renovations became majo, and just took more time! But it is the best thing we did!!!

Yesterday finished my second week. Down 4 lbs and the clothes are getting loose.

  • Hey guys! What a busy day!

I'm heading to Gold's for a meeting with them about my idea for a class. Please think good thoughts!

    I'll check in later...

    Deb
  • Meow!
What a day! Raced thru tris, chest and cardio this morning, went to see allergist who is now slowly weaning me off meds to see what happens, then picked up our NEW KITTY from the rescue shelter. Oh yeah, went to work in there somewhere.
She's 7 months old (big enough to defend herself and run from an over-curious dog), mostly deep brown with black tips, and a white bib and socks. They named her "Daisy" which will change, but we still have to let her grow into a name. So far she's found every impossible hiding place in the basement.

I've still gotta pack to go to Ohio tomorrow morning- mostly food I made 4 oatmeal pancakes and a couple packages of chicken, gotta cook a pot of brown rice and bag it up, then cut up some vegies. I sure miss cottage cheese and fruit. They were my travel staples before. But GetLean has NO dairy and NO fruit I'm really gonna miss that when the fresh stuff starts coming in. The strawberries are already calling me....

Off to pack, ds is keeping track of where kitty hides herself for the time being! Bye all,

    mel
  • Oh my goodness!!! A new kitty for Mel and a new house for Jamie - what a week! Wish I could buy a house but first I have to win the Lotto

I am REALLY feeling yesterday's leg workout - my toughest leg workout since pre-surgery. Felt really good to be in the ol' squat rack again...

And today, during my shoulders/abs/calves workout...I was able to squeeze out a 20 rep set of standing calf raises at 380 pounds, which is the best I've done yet! Feeling really good right now...my next followup appointment with Dr. Clark is in mid-June and I want to impress the heck out of her!

My boss took tomorrow off, so I'm doing the same - gonna take advantage of that by going to Curt's Spinning class for the first time in, oh, about 2 years. (that is if I'm able to snag a bike!).

    Life is good!!!
  • morning sunshine!
GI Girl I sooo know how you feel on both counts. DH of mine may be going to the Gulf soon as well but his posting hasn’t come through yet. It’s stressful. BUT I also have a unique understanding of your current situation. DH and I had to change our wedding date 4 times because he kept getting sent away. Finally when the 4th date wasn’t going to work we went out and eloped. It really hurt our family but we have never regretted it. I just wanted to get married and so the sooner the better – we had already been waiting for 2 years at that stage and it looked like another year before the wedding would occur. The pressure that we go through being married to military men is crazy and only another person in the same situation can understand. My advice to you is to sit down and weigh out your priorities, once you work out what is really important to you – you can make better decision without succumbing to eating problems.

By the way even though we eloped we are probably going to do the full white wedding for our 10th anniversary or so. Wedding’s are for a day but marriage is for a lifetime.

Ilene You don’t have to have a craving to get the rumble feeling. I had the rumble feeling the other night but was full when I woke up. But 2340 should be enough calories for you – maybe your body was going through an adjustment period or about to lose some fat. Watch your pantsometer carefully over the next week or so and update us. I wouldn’t take the break yet – give it another week or so.

Jamie good luck with the search and don’t get too stressed or too attached to any house before you sign the paperwork. Otherwise it will be a huge emotional roller coaster. Trust me – I own four houses!

    Deb Good thoughts…. Good thoughts…. Good thoughts…. Good thoughts…. Good thoughts….

Adriana Good to see that you are ok….

As for me well another great day went by. Yesterday I wasn’t hungry so I eased back a bit on the fat I was eating and thought hey no problem! Then I did a full upper body workout after work and went to failure on all 5 muscle groups (bis/tri/sh/ch/bck) and within 30 minutes of it I felt exhausted and sick. DH said to me ‘let’s get you fed I bet you are hungry’ – I was like ‘noooo I feel ill’ but anyway he got me some food and within 20 minutes I felt perfect again – so I guess I was hungry. Lesson learned…. Anyway I am sore all over today from my new workout and I finally got pain in my lats which I haven’t had in ages. After I finished all the bodyparts last night everything was aching except for my back – so I did another burn out set on my back (including a set of 21’s) and it appears to have worked. I did all my grocery shopping for the week last night as well so I am all organized for next week – I just have to cook now! I am flying to Queensland on Saturday to show DH the latest house but am only going overnight so I can get my cooking done on Sunday. Oh boy I have so much homework to do………. Not enough time in the day!

    Later all!!

  • Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say a quick hello and will come back later to read everything. I know someone has a new kitty, someone is buying a house and two people have lost inches. Congrats to one and all.

CC, How are you feeling today?

    Sel
  • sel- doing allot better. I spent time calling my friends who were directly effected. That helped allot.

  • Just got done with a great LBWO. They are my favorite so far. I think I need to do some tweaking in the UBWO as it never really seems very satisfying. I like working out in the mornings better than at night but this week just won't allow it with company. It's bad enough that I wake everyone at 6:30am with the blender! Someone commented today that my face looks thinner. Then someone else commented that I would look weird skinny, that I am pretty like I am and I should become a Lane Bryant model. This is coming, of course, from the same girl who last week complained about being 5'11 and weighing 126lbs, she wants to be thinner. Uugh. I think she is more comfortable with my being fat. Anyone else have experiences like this?

Tried adding a bit more protien in today, it's hard but I'm getting there. I feel stuffed when I eat my meal but in the past few days I have been starving by the time I eat my fifth meal. I eat at 3:00pm and by 6:00pm my stomach is almost hurting I'm so hungry.

Mel, congrats on the new kitty!! We have had Archie for about a year and a half now. We got him from a shelter and he is the sweetest kitty, half of the time anyway! the rest of the time he is stinky and sneaky and wonderful to have.
  • Chellybella, you're right on about that girl. She probably feels threatened by your commitment and doesnt want the competition. Keep goin!! *hugs*

    Tidey
  • New houses, new kitties, isn't congrats to you w/the new furbabies and Jamie, get a house w/a spare room so I can come stay. hehehe

Deb good luck on getting your plan across to the Gold's folks!

Deb and I were discussing awhile back about body tempature and metabolism. Anyone here have low body tempature? If so, do you struggle w/fat loss?

Rainy and cold here, we may get some snow. I'm sick to death of it and so are my sinuses.
