1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
Joining the group was the best move she ever made. Fay had struggled alone through a dozen diets with no real success. Then she saw the notice on the church bulletin board about the group that dieted and exercised together. She was a little hesitant at first, but finally she decided to give it a try. What a difference it made! Dieting with a group was much better than dieting alone. Fay felt that God had really led her to this group. She gained so much strength from her new friends, and she was amazed at how much she was able to help others.
Good afternoon! Had been this morning. Power walked and ran errands this morning. Will power walk to and home from lunch. Getting badly needed rain today!
Still raining here. Forecast is rain everyday for the next two weeks. That limits me on walking. One walk a day in the rain is enough. 😀
I need to look through my cookbooks and find something different to make try. I think food is losing its appeal to me. I guess that’s helpful in losing weight, but I use to look forward to my meals.
Exercise
15 minutes stretching
27 minutes elliptical
3 mile walk
Meal
Breakfast-Nutty cereal
Snack-Blueberry/banana smoothie
Lunch-Hummus on bread, cheese
Good night all! Singapore, like you, I had rain here today. It was a nice steady rain that lasted 8 to 10 hours. It was also needed. My lawn was very dry and starting to turn brown. I power walked to and home from my meeting tonight. My fitness goals for today have been attained.😃
Psalm 121:4-5 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The Hebrew people had great confidence in God. They believed His promises to them, and they lived their lives accordingly. No matter how difficult their situation got, the children of Israel held onto their faith. Through that faith, they were able to do amazing things. The God of Abraham and Isaac is also the God of Jesus Christ. If we will put our faith in Him, He will enable us to do amazing things. He will allow us to lose the weight we need to lose, and He will comfort us when our diets get particularly tough. Trust in the Lord. He is watching over you.
Today's thought: I'd better watch what I eat as closely as God watches me!
CieCie: I thought about you when I heard about Rushdie. I am sorry to hear about his injuries. I hope that he does not lose his eye...
SineRose: Have fun on your trip. Wish I was going...too.
Nancy, Rachel: We three need to figure out how to get around the computer problems. I look up 3 fat chicks on a diet August 2020 Daily Accountability and it directs me within a few seconds...
Diana: Healthy eating to you.
My wt. is about the same. Very little cardio, but I have been doing lots of gardening, including spading/weeding. Diet is okay, grocery bill okay, but I am tempted by food in the house....
Good afternoon! Terri, the news about Salman Rushdie is that he's off the ventilator and has been joking with the nurses, his family and his agent. I did 2 miles Leslie Sansone this morning. Took the bus to a nearby community to power walk and run errands there. Came home and lunch. Will go for another power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😁
Teri-glad to see you post again. I have to use my mobile phone to get access to this website. It takes 5 minutes or less. I have tried using my desktop computer, but it doesn’t come up in even 30 minutes, so I quit using it. Stay strong fighting those cravings. 😊

Matthew 10:29-31 'Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.'
Jeff was suspicious. He couldn't figure out why his friends were trying to be so helpful with his diet. What could they possibly get out of it? Whenever he was with them, they avoided talking about food, and they ate salads and cottage cheese instead of normal food. They wouldn't even have dessert. It made Jeff feel a little awkward and guilty. He couldn't believe his friends would go to so much trouble to help him out. Some people wonder whether or not God really cares about their diet problems. The fact is, He cares about everything that is important to us. Take comfort in the fact that God cares deeply, and He will do everything He can to help you.
Today's thought: God thinks I'm great, with or without weight!
