1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
When Jesus faced the devil in the wilderness, He was weak and hungry. He had fasted long and hard, and He would have given anything to be able to break that fast. Bread is a great temptation to a starving man. Yet, Jesus refused to give in to the temptations of the devil. No matter how enticing Satan was, Jesus was able to resist him. By resisting the devil, Jesus overcame him, and in so doing, He overcame the world and all it could offer Him. We, too, can overcome the world by having faith in the One who has already triumphed. No temptation on earth can bring us down, because we follow the One who overcame the whole world.
Today's thought: I will turn to Jesus whenever I need a faith lift!
Good evening to everyone, happy hump day
WI up 1.5, but I did the oopsy no no..snacked after dinner....oh 6 keebler fudge stripped cookies and some veggie straws.....salt bombs
WO did two 30 min strength training. I am trying to catch up on the training schedule and make up the ones I missed over the weekend and the earlier part of the week. Tomorrow I will do 2 again then Friday I am back on track.
So we will meet with a cabinet guy on Saturday, on friday we secure a loan to do the remodel....tomorrow I have to have the oil changed in my car (hate that).
So I planted my snap dragoons today that we got at a farmers market this weekend. Planted our 'free' tomato plant. and changed my mind on moving a rose bush. Our ground has so many rocks in it I just could not dig. When I was making space for the snap dragoons I had to use a pick, the same tool I used to clean al it out last summer.
I am painting a (I say this very loosely) portrait of my newest grand daughter. It is coming along but I have never done anything like this. It is going to take me until she is 18 to get it done LOL
Exercise:
No workout today. I had a dental appointment to put in my new crown. The dentist didn't like the crown. So they had to go through the whole process all over again. Then DH and I went to dinner and then I was off to church.
Meals:
Breakfast- mushroom, onion, and gruyere cheese omelet, veggie bacon/sausage, pumpkin seed bread, orange juice
Lunch-pesto cheese and tomato sandwich, multigrain tortilla chips
Exercise:
30 minutes stretching
30 minutes elliptical
3 mile walk with 2.5 lb leg weights
30 minutes walk
Good point: Did not eat a late meal tonight even though others around me did. I have been sticking to eating only in the mornings & lunch, with a food cutoff by 2 pm. It works for me.
Bad point: need to work on more variety in meals.
Total abstinence from treats leads to binging for me. Moderation is key to be successful today and tomorrow.
Ciecie, Nancy, Sinarose, way to go on your exercise
I took in 1600 calories yesterday. Did recumbent bike plus leg press for weights.I may be MIA for a few days.....until Tuesday morning. I need to stay with my Mom while my Dad is out of town with my brother.
Plan is the same for the next few days: 1200-1500 calories, 2liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/calcium supp., combo of weight-lifting and recumbent bike or treadmill.
Nancy: Baby art sounds fun and challenging.
CieCie: I am back watching more tornado clips, or wanna be tornado clips...
Yesterday, I did the efflexor and swam 50 laps, and today I biked 30 minutes, did wts, floor exercises and stair steps. I am glad that I finally did my "extras". It has been about a week. I am still having problems with desserts...
Good morning again! Did 2 miles Leslie Sansone. Had breakfast. Went for a power walk and ran errands. Will get ready to take the bus to a nearby community to power walk and run errands there in a few minutes. 😁🌺😷❤️
I have a hair apt. and few other things to do today. We are also getting rain today. We'll see about a workout later. It may or may not happen.
Steps from yesterday: 4,365
Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.

Romans 8:24
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Gwen stopped by the dress shop every few days to look at the gown she had picked out. Though it was a couple of sizes smaller than she wore, she dreamed of the time she could fit into it. It was a perfect gown. She could visualize in her mind's eye how stunning she would look in it. For the next month, Gwen stuck to a strict diet and made her dream a reality. She lost the two sizes and bought the dress she wanted so badly. We need our dreams, hopes, and plans to make it through our diets. Hope helps us bolster our faith and makes our dreams come true.
