Hi!

Auspicious: Swimming is a good skill to have. You never know when It might come in handy.

Rachel, Nancy: I picked up the News...book from the library today...I like that it has a map, so you can follow their journey.

I did not get it going this am. But this afternoon I stopped at the library and I went swimming. I am feeling very relaxed. And I ran into a friend that I had not seen in a while.

I wish that I was more productive.

Good evening! Teri, you made up for not getting going this morning by going swimming this afternoon. Power walked before and after supper. Ran errands before supper. My fitness goals for today have been attained. 😁❤️😷🍀

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Brenda decided it was time to lose weight, and she did. Peggy struggled a little bit more, but she lost the pounds she wanted to, also. Tracy wondered why everyone else seemed to do so well, while she did so poorly. Maybe something was wrong with her! Maybe she couldn't lose weight. The more she thought about it, the more frightened she became. Often our mind turns out to be our worst enemy when we try to diet. We can alarm ourselves needlessly. Everyone diets differently, and everyone receives different results. There is no place for fear and doubting in dieting. What we need is perseverance and faith that God will help us.

Today's thought: I have a very skinny spirit!

Hello!

I did not get a lot accomplished, but I transplanted some pink evening primroses this afternoon and then I went swimming for 50 minutes.

I am glad that I got something done.

September 11

Romans 4:21
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Jesus Christ turned water to wine, He walked on the water, and calmed the sea. He cured many diseases and cast out demons. He conquered death for His friend Lazarus and for Himself. He promises that He will be with us and that His power is ours as we try to be the people God created us to be. How, then, can we doubt that He will help us when we need to lose weight? Are not the pounds of our flesh within His scope of power? Cannot the chosen Son of God do such a small miracle in our lives as to give us the determination we need to conquer fat? This He can and will do, and much more, if we will but believe.

Today's thought: 'More' brought about my distress; help me, Lord, to live by 'less'!

Hello everyone! Made it though the first week of transitioning the kids back to school and me back to routine. I'm finding that being so much more active in our compute has made me REALLY hungry. This has translated into a .5lb gain. Which is beyond frustrating, but a good kick in the pants to figure out how to fill up better. Adding a pumpkin seed protein powder to my morning for example.

DH & I are going away tonight. Our 1st break since 2019. We plan on eating before we go, but enjoying a rare brunch out before we do some hiking. I'm so excited!

Good evening! AuspiciousOtter, I hope you and your dh enjoyed the brunch and the hike! Hope you had good weather for it. I had a great day today. Went for three power walks today. Got everything I needed to do done. Just had supper. Decided to go out to breakfast today. Yesterday was my birthday. I usually go out to breakfast and dinner on my birthday. I only went out to dinner yesterday because I had to work yesterday. Decided to skip going to the recycling center today. My fitness goals for today have been attained. 😷❤️😁🍀
