Good night all! Diana, that’s great that you went swimming. I’m watching the season premiere of Law & Order: SVU now. Will watch the season premiere of Law & Order: Organized Crime next. 😁❤️😷🍀

Default Good morning

Diana, thanks for sharing your interesting epiphany. Sounds like "gradual" is best......not only physically, but emotionally. I'd say you've made real progress then with feeling more comfortable with yourself now. This weight loss/body image is a complex thing, isn't it? It's seated deeply emotionally.

Nancy, those fair prices astounded me! I would not be inclined to go with those prices!! Too many people too . Give me your small county fair anytime.

Teri, you are the Weed Queen . Never gave much thought to all those ways to deal with weeds. I'm not familiar with composting.

I took in 1600 calories yesterday. Did some treadmill. I've decided to start Nutrisystem again for a few months. Having such a hard time losing what I've gained in the past year. Will start prob on Saturday. Yeah, I'm in a yo-yo cycle. Frustrating. I'm hoping, though, that with my new hip, I can be more diligent with exercise and, therefore, keep off what I lose and maintain where I want to be; at the weight I feel best with. The lack of exercise has been my biggest downfall this past year.

Today's Plan: 1200 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., treadmill or walk at track.

Hi!

Rachel: I have a new word for you: cattywampus...// In big cities, there are mini classes on composting. You buy this bin and then add the food scraps, leaves, grass clippings, etc. and then 6 months later you scoop out the mulch at the bottom. There is really not much room in it for weeds. Some weeds you don't want left around...like certain types of grasses, thistle, crown vetch, creeping bellflower, etc...You can look up undesirable plants for your state...

CieCie: Isn't it nice to find tv shows that you really like? I am looking forward to CSI LV. I hope it is good. I think I missed the last couple of seasons of CSI...

Nancy: ...Prices have really increased...I think I read that Magic Kingdom cost $2.50 when it opened in 1971?

Hello Auspicious and Muffin. Alas, I think I have a muffin top...

Diana: I am happy that you got to swim. It is wonderful. Truly.

I biked/swam freestyle and backstroke. I also wt. lifted and used the stability ball. Not a bad day. Been eating soup, egg white and cheese sandwiches on a half a flat bread, watermelon, etc. I am trying...also eating reduced fat ice cream cones...

Good evening! Teri, I’ll be watching CSI-Las Vegas, too. Was A HUGE FAN when William Peterson was the star. Stopped watching after he left. Couldn’t get into watching Laurence Fishburn. Power walked to and home from supper. Ran errands on the way home. 😁🍀😷❤️

Hi Everyone!

Back home! No formal workout for today. Overall, I did a lot better with my eating during this vacation. My fitness was not as good because of the rain and not really being able to get out. Tomorrow is back on plan.

Have a Blessed evening!

Teri, 'cattywampus" is a great word! Did I spell that correctly?

I took in 1000 calories yesterday. Not sure how I did that? . I need to try to get in some weightlifting today for my arms.

Today's Plan: 1200 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., arm weights, some walking.

Good Morning, Everyone! Happy Weekend!

Rachel Great job on your calories!

Steps for yesterday: 7,274

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

September 25

Proverbs 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Every few weeks or so, Ellen would go off by herself to her grandmother's farm for a day alone. She would fast for the entire day, and each time hunger would overtake her, she would pause to pray to God. She thanked Him for providing her with food and sustenance through the week. She thanked Him for her life in a country where she was free to do what she wanted to. She thanked Him that she didn't have to struggle day to day for survival. The times on the farm meant so much to her. Ellen found great strength in those times when hunger made her feel so weak. It was good to take time to be thankful.

Today's thought: I'll try not to think of what I don't have, but what I do have!

HI!

CieCie: If I have a choice, I prefer to watch an entire season of a show over a weekend, rather than watch week by week. It is just easier. Week by week, I sometimes fall asleep! Sometimes the show you miss is not available on demand. I liked "the bug man" on CSI, too, as well as some other characters. (Although, I don't think that I would want to go home to someone who had a bottle of bugs in the fridge.) I like when there are a couple of characters on a show that I look forward to watching. I generally found CSI to be okay no matter who was the lead. I liked it a lot better than CSI Miami. I also liked seeing Las Vegas as a backdrop. It is nice to see places that you might want to visit...

Rachel: I never heard of the word cattywampus. I think that there are variations of it...

I biked 20 min., backstroke 35 min, and freestyle 5 min. today. My neck is a little bit sore, I think from turning my head for breathing during freestyle yesterday. Some people talked to me about how much swimming has helped their arthritis. I wish that there was a lot more padding on the bike seat...

I made soup tonight and added onion and garlic...
