Ciecie, I'm not used to using apps on my phone. How does one log your food on that app?

Good Morning, Everyone!

Steps for yesterday: 5,412
This Morning: Oxycise

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

September 8

Luke 12:29
'And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.'

Clyde was so infuriating! Every time his wife suggested that he go on a diet, he came up with some excuse. Most of the time he just said that diets weren't healthy. He was afraid he would do more harm than good. Clyde knew it was just a dodge. He didn't want to lose weight, and he saw no reason why anyone should want to push him. That all changed when he landed in the hospital with a heart attack brought on because his body simply couldn't carry the weight Clyde contained. Clyde no longer questioned what was right. Instead of doubting the intelligence of dieting, he wondered why he ever been so stupid as to resist it. Sometimes God needs to let us know through crisis what we will not hear normally.

Today's thought: If it's a choice between dieting or dying, I think I'll diet!

Good morning again! Rachel, it’s very easy to do. I do it on my IPAD. You go to the App Store and search for MyFitnessPal. Download it. In the upper right corner it says sign in/new user. You have to create a username and password. Then you put in your current weight goal. In the lower left corner, you’ll see foot diary and exercise. I click on food diary first. Then, I click on exercise. There’s cardio and strength training there. You can also do it on MyFitnessPal.com. I just got home from power walking and running errands. Will take the bus to a nearby community to power walk and run errands there. 😁❤️😷🍀

CarlosCosta, selling things isn’t allowed here. Just got home from power walking and running errands in a nearby community. Will go for another power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😁🍀😷❤️

Hi!

Rachel: Maybe I will get the News...book from the library. I am fortunate that I reside in a county that has a large city, so there is a huge variety of books/videos, etc. to choose from because I can access materials from anywhere in the county.

Auspicious: It sounds pretty silly making ladies underwear from men's. You can look it up on the net. I don't know where I learned about it...maybe Oprah or Readers Digest. I think they sold their business...to a corporation who saw a really big opportunity.

I went swimming early this am. I was lucky to get my own lane and then many people came in, so I ended up sharing.

I was raining today, so I have not gotten outside to garden. I need to get my To Do list out and work on some goals.

Have a good day!

Nancy - I'm glad you'll be getting off that medication. Glass half full with the weight loss though!

Teri - I'm quite intimidated to start lane swimming. One of my goals for next January is to take adult swim lessons. I do a mean dog paddle that I can get around with for about an hour, but I'd like to know what I'm doing.

Ciecie & Rachel - I'm trying to use cronometer for tracking my food. I find it really time consuming since I cook most of my food, but I think once I put in a few of my default recipes it'll go a lot faster. It's a bit to get used to for sure, but I like seeing what's up.

I biked my littles to school & back for a total of an hour cycling. We'll be commuting by bike for the next 2 weeks, so that's a handy built in workout. I just got my bike fixed up this summer after not riding for about 2 years. I'm a little rusty and slow, but it does feel really good to be moving.

Auspicious, that’s great that you are taking advantage of the weather and biking to and from school with your littles. BTW, good morning!😁❤️😷🍀

Good Morning, Everyone!

I wanted to share some info about Ms. Connie. They did another scan and the cancer is still stable. She will continue to get treatments followed by breaks to help her regain her strength. Praise the Lord she is still doing well.

Steps for yesterday: 5,195
This Morning: Oxycise

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

September 9

Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus

Jessica was doubtful at first. She really didn't believe Mindy when she said the church would be a big help during her diet. Mindy had taken her to see the pastor, and they had told him that they were dieting. She felt silly at first, but the pastor asked regularly how they were doing, and Jessica liked that. It made her feel that what she was doing was important and a good thing. Other members of the church mentioned how good the dieters were looking. Before long, Jessica found that she enjoyed the dieting because she enjoyed the reactions of the church people and didn't want to let them down. Mindy was right: The church helped a lot.

Today's thought: Sharing the load of dieting makes the burden light!

Good morning to all
WI up a bit this am but I had some high sodium, soups. That seems to be the easiest for me to swallow right now. The oral rinse is starting to work but just picture 'cold sores' under your tongue, and along your gum line upper and lower. So I am very careful LOL.
WO will be doing I hope a lot of walking today at the fair but we will see. If I stay a 'relief person' I have free time to walk around if not I am stuck in a booth for hours on end.

Rachel, I use myfitnesspal on my phone and once you start logging foods it remembers what eat most frequently to make it easy to record.
AuspiciousOtter I have used cronometer in the past and even paid for the app. It was great when I followed a low carb eating plan but for some reason I can not longer remember I move away from it. I am glad you are making it work for you
Teri you are still being so consistent with your swimming I think this is so awesome, I miss swimming but there are not public pools near me

I just borrowed News of the World and give it a read since you all seem to rate it very high!
