Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea,I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Ben was afraid to even try a diet. He never had much luck with things that required a lot of willpower on his part. He caved in much too easily. If only someone else would make his decisions for him. He had never been overweight when he lived at home and had his mother around to tell him what to eat and what not to eat. Ben would be the first one to admit that he had no self-control. Unfortunately, we all have to learn to discipline ourselves. God doesn't tell us what to do. He gives us complete freedom, but He will help us have the strength to make right decisions if we ask Him to. Include God, and He will make some wonderful things happen.

Today's thought: True power is the ability to say no!

Hello all
Well WI up again today grr. I am going backwards
WO none formal. And actually after this fair stint, I am not sure I will head back to the gym again. I honestly have tried to workout with that mask and it is really really difficult.

So today I am making a big tuna noodle casserole and a pot of chili for DH and myself to last a few days. I did check out the 'lunch room' yesterday at the fair grounds. They have a microwave and a frig. However I am a bit leery to leave my food in there for fear that it will go missing.

Going to be a learning curve this working in this type of environment.

ok back hopefully tomorrow before I leave

Hi!

I went to get junk food today and ended up stopping at the Y to bike. I did some exercises while biking and later I filled 2 bushels with weeds... I am tired. I have so much to do this month...

Hi all! Teri, you made a good choice by going to the y instead of buying junk food! You also got a lot done today. I will go for a power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😁🍀😷❤️

Hello! Tried a 10 minute Barre video today. I thought it would be simple, but it started to burn around minute 4. Sneaky! Goal this month is to find 10 minutes a day of exercise. Hopefully more, but getting back to the habit is first.

Spent a few minutes of happy time at the beach before jumping back to Zoom calls.

Default Good morning

Hazeltv and Auspicious Otter,

Teri, I am so impressed with your choosing to stop by the Y when junk food was on your agenda . That takes strength.

I took in 1510 calories yesterday. Tried recumbent bike. Still too soon for me after surgery. I think I will try the treadmill. I plan to eat out lunch today with a friend. I will allow some extra calories.

Today's Plan: 1500-1800 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/calx2 supp., post-op exercisesx2, try treadmill.

I have a funeral to attend today and plans to donate blood.

hazeltv and AuspiciousOtter Welcome to the check-in.

Steps for yesterday: 4,725 (I didn't realize that I didn't meet my step goals. I should have looked at my phone. I could have done some marching and stepping in place)
This Morning: Oxycise

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Malachi 3:6
For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

God was such a big help when Gwen began her diet, but He didn't seem to care much anymore. Lately, Gwen's diet had become almost intolerable. She began to wonder if God knew what she was going through. She had prayed daily when she started her diet, and it had gotten so easy that she really didn't need to pray all the time. Then, it started getting harder. Why did God let that happen? Poor Gwen never realized that God hadn't changed, but she had. She included God all the time at first, then she left Him out more and more. God will help us just as much as we allow Him to. Often we are our own, and God's, worst enemy when we take our lives out of God's hands and put them into our own.

Today's thought: God and I are dieting together!

Hi!

So sorry. I have to confess. I did do the junk food, too, but only 1 item...

Welcome Auspicious Otter: There otter to be an easier way to lose weight...

Nancy: Your chili sounds really good. Save some for me...

Rachel: I get vocabulary emails sent to me. They are pretty good. One is called word thirst. The other is called M-W Word of the Day (Merriam Webster). I learned about the latter via a librarian. +I like them because they send you a daily email. With word thirst, I think they send you them more often, but I am not sure...like a lot of things on my computer.

I was outside this afternoon and filled up another bushel with weeds.

I have so much to do...
