Pipsicle, you have done great so far. Don't let the work related issues upset the bunny's resolve.

Thanks Carole! I really appreciate your support! Such a long journey....
New Low Weight! -38.5, unconfirmed Bunny has hired a falcon (lawyer) for her corner and may get some carrots on the way out. |
HIP HIP HOORAY!!! It is a bona fide whoosh! I am pleased to announce a confirmed two pound loss and have adjusted my sidebar to show 37.5 lbs lost. Unfortunately, BP is up a lot due to the stress from work.
As a quick refresher, my scale does not have any numbers. It only tracks ten pound increments. When I hit ten pounds, either up or down, it resets itself. Each day it announces the change in weight and offers encouragement or a helpful tip. I am getting close to a reset. The one thing I don't like is after a reset and due to natural fluctuations, my weight may be above the starting weight. So it will say things like "you are one pound above your starting weight". I am a sensitive soul so it feels demoralizing to me. The other thing is it may miss some weight lost. So if I am close to a reset, lets say I only need to lose one pound to get it to reset and I lose two pounds, it will reset but only indicate I lost 10 pounds instead of 11 pounds. My solution is to hold three pounds worth of stuff until it resets. The last go around, I was juggling four bottles of shampoo or soap. Last week, I went to the thrift store and bought a three pound hand weight. It was definitely kismet when I saw it. It is bright red and was on a shelf all by itself. There were a couple of other hand weights on a different shelf but they were lower weights. Needless to say, I bought it and it has made thing really easy. Bunny has lots of homework this weekend to support the falcon's endeavors to get Bunny carrots. Bunny also needs to update its resume as another carrot farm is hiring. Bunny will also go to a carrot farm fair on Wednesday. Bunny knows you all are wishing it good luck and Bunny thanks you! This has been tough. |

~~~BREAKING NEWS~~~
Two years in the making! I have lost another ten pound increment and will update my signature accordingly. The first time I hit -30 was about two years ago. The last time I saw -30 was at the end of this July. So does that mean it only took me two months to lose it? Super excited! Hoping it stays off!! New Low Weight! -40, unconfirmed |
Woo hoo!! You are rocking this, Pipsicle!
There may be more good news on the horizon. I am hopeful that the site will be working better, soon! |
Thanks Carol! Regarding the site, that would be great!
New Low Weight! -41.5, unconfirmed This is crazy! And to fall on the last day of the month! I could use it in my monthly tally if I would like! |
Today was the same weight as yesterday. This means I have lost 6 pounds for the month of September. This is the most amount of weight I have lost in a month during this journey! I can hardly believe it!!
|
Great news - another half pound loss has been confirmed. I will update my sidebar to show my total loss as 38 pounds. Even better, I have two more pounds waiting in the wings for confirmation.
If I can continue at this pace, my journey only has about 160 days left in theory. Of course, the actual reality will be different. I will keep doing my best. Bunny had a tough week. The smug viper took all the swipes they wanted. It will take some time for the Falcon to really make a difference. |
You are doing great, Pipsicle.
The site is back to normal!! Yay!! |
Thanks Carol- That is really good news about the site! Does that mean you ladies will be returning?
__________________________________________________ ______________________________ Another Whoosh! I can confirm a 1.5 pound loss this week. I have already adjusted my sidebar to -39.5 pounds. This is so exciting and I still have another half pound waiting in the wings for confirmation next week. I've started weight myself at the rec center and recording the weight of the first Saturday of the month. I call this my public weight. It is the weight that would be recorded at the doctor's office. It is 8-9 pounds (sometimes more) than my weight at home (private weight). I think the difference between the two is a lot and I don't think the additional clothing truly explains it. The change on the public scale is consistent with the change on my home scale. I am amazed at this sudden burst of progress and want it to continue. This is something I have dreamed of where one more little thing clicked into place and the weight just begins to fall off. There were three things that I can think of just before the switch flipped on my appetite, changing it from being uncontrollable to normal. 1. I got COVID. COVID is known to cause brain damage in some individuals. My running joke is I got just enough brain damage to fix my broken appetite. 2. I took an anti-viral to treat the COVID. There is a virus that has been found to be higher in obese individuals versus healthy weight individuals. It's only a correlation not a causation. There was no evidence the anti-viral medication I took would also work against the other virus. 3. I started supplementing with potassium. I am almost embarrassed to mention this as potassium deficiency is not really a thing. It is a difference from before and after though. None of this really adds up to anything. I just really wish I could understand what made the difference. Bunny is not so sure falcon can get the bunny some carrots. The vipers are gleefully taking as many swipes as they'd like at the bunny. Bunny is almost through it. Bunny has an interview at a carrot farm this week and is hopeful. |
Whatever the reason is for your recent progress, it is a good thing. 40 lbs is nothing to sneeze at!
I hope the bunny finds a new carrot farm, soon. This stress is not good. I don't know if the Diabetes thread will continue here. The new thread is busier as others are joining in. It seems we had a lot of followers here but most didn't join in. It makes me sad as this forum has been a part of my life for so long, but everyone was getting frustrated. The change was the only way I could keep us together. The difficulty here went on for a long time. I'm just so glad its fixed. |
Hi Carol- I tried lurking at the other site but it looks like I need an account. It nice you have more folks joining in.
__________________________________________________ ____________________ New Low Weight! -42.5 lbs, unconfirmed Bunny had an interview today and thinks it went well. Falcon has been helping a lot but no real progress. |
Is it the beginning of the end? There is no new loss to confirm this week and my weight edged up a little today on my 'official' weigh-in day.
I still ate within my calorie allotment this week and saw a new low weight this week. I will continue to carry on but am worried my awful appetite is slipping back in. Last night is a good example. I was full after dinner and desperately wanted some ice cream. I didn't give into the craving but it was hard not to. Although I was within my calorie allotment this week, the types of food I was eating were of a lesser quality. That is to say I was eating more chips and less fruit. I have figured out that in addition to walking 14.4 miles a week, I ice skate at least eight miles a week! The stress of my work situation is definitely adversely affecting me. Hoping some of my work stress gets resolved next week. |
Pipsicle, from what I've read, the type of foods you eat do make a difference in weight loss or gain. I don't believe weight loss will ever be easy to understand or do. If it was, I would be thin. But I probably will never give up.
