Down a pound from last week up a pound from the beginning of the month. I had twelve days in a row on plan and screwed up the last two days.

This is so hard. My favorite doctor went to this subscription plan. I have to pay $3000 a year if I still want to be able to see him. I did but I am not sure if I like it. He does guarantee same or next day appointments. Also he was a specialist but has broadened his practice to also be a GP. This is helpful since I have been looking for a GP. I really think I need to be on one of the new weight loss drugs that have been in the news so much lately. I just hate the thought of needing it the rest of my life.

I am really looking forward to the Thanksgiving holiday. I will be seeing a friend I haven't seen in 20 years!

Fantastic news- I went on a 10 day trip for Thanksgiving and did not gain any weight. I was quite worried because I really didn't stick to any sort of plan. The few times I counted calories I was above my target.

Glad to be back and am getting back to paying more attention to my eating. I will also be getting more exercise.

For the record, currently at -27 lbs.

Up 2 pounds from last week on today's (Sunday) official weigh-in. The end of the month weigh-in showed I am the same as the beginning of the month. After months and months of gains, I am glad it stayed the same. Although, I had forgotten I had a 5 pound loss in October. It was a loss of regained weight so that is probably why it didn't register.

Trying to get up some courage to see the doctor before the end of the year. I have a general fear of medical professionals. Additionally, I am likely facing a new diagnosis or two. I am tired of the aliments I already have and do not want any more officially.

I guess I am in another checked out phase. I completely forgot today was an official weigh-in day and didn't weigh-in. I'll check tomorrow and am worried it will be bad. I haven't been on plan with regards to eating. My exercise is pretty good but only about 70% of what it was last year at this time.

With all of the excitement of the holiday, I forgot to post on Sunday. I am at -25 pounds which I think is up from the last time.

We had a great holiday! I hope everyone else did too!

2024

Happy 2018! Well, that's where I feel like I am at. In 2018, my sweet tooth was out of control and I spent the year taking a class on health that was suppose to help you lose weight. I gained 10 pounds. It wasn't until half way through 2019 that I was able to start losing weight.

At the start of this year, 2024, I am down -22 or -23 pounds total since starting this journey in 2018. That is where I stand for the start of this year.

It has been a tough couple of weeks here. My beloved cat became ill (the white one) and passed away unexpectedly. I miss her so very much!

NettNett- thank you for your kind words. I miss her so much. She was really special and had beautiful bright blue eyes.

I have a cat also. I'll miss her if and when that time comes.

My kitty was very special. She liked water, would fetch and play chase. She was always nearby and enjoyed napping on my closed work laptop. She was a grazer so I would give her snacks from a bowl I kept in the desk drawer. Our running joke was she wanted 20 kibbles ever 20 minutes. She was toilet trained and was smart enough to translate it to using any toilet in the house, not just the one she was trained on. She really enjoyed outside time in the mini catio we had set up for her. The cat patio (catio) was a rabbit hutch over a basement window well. She could watch the birds and squirrels up close. She preferred to drink water out of a glass on the counter rather than the water dish. She didn't like catnip but loved anything flavored with mint. In fact, she would steal and hide gum wrappers for their mint smell. Additionally, she would eat Tic Tacs faster than I could pick up the stray one that was dropped. She loved to sit on my lap and also enjoyed the 'cat sauna'. We have a piece of furniture that has a 3-4" space under it that was over a heating register. She really enjoyed sitting in there when the heat was on so we called it the cat sauna.

She was brought to the local animal shelter by Jackson Galaxy himself when she was just a kitten. He has a show called My Cat From H-E-double hockey sticks. Although, my kitty could never be described as that! She was so wonderful!! I miss her so very much!

Trying to recommit yet again. For the last month, I have not really done anything with regards to getting this weight off. One thought is this is a complete reset and start of a new attempt. Previously, I had considered all of this as one long attempt that started in 2018. Perhaps it still is. It is a painful realization that it is six years later and I am still not successful at this.

Even if I discount the first year where I really spun my wheels, it has been five years.

Happy Easter!

All bad news on the scale. I stepped on it for the first time in at least 2 weeks. It reset itself which means I have gained another 10 pounds since the last reset- ugh! I have a doctor's appointment this week and I will try to !work up the courage to talk to him about trying one of the new class of drugs that has been in the news.

On a brighter note, I skied so much this year, the ski place put up an Instagram post featuring me. I've skied over 1000 runs this year which is a huge feat for anyone, let alone someone with deformed feet and greatly overweight

Up another two pounds. I have the golden ticket in my hands though- a GLP-1 analog. I am waiting until next week to give it a try though. Had to start a high BP med this week. Hoping to break out of this downward spiral. Not sure what broke within me but something seems to have.
