Congrats Roja on hitting your pre-holiday low! That's fantastic. Good luck with the next one!

Woohoo, congrats on hitting your final weight goal, Dee! I'm so happy for you! I'm looking forward to hearing about your recomp adventures.

Regarding exercise, my goal this month's been easy, but easy's what I needed after over a month of not working out consistently. I exercise 3 days a week using one of my workout dvd's. I've been doing the easier workouts. I should be able to kick it up a notch soon to the more challenging ones.

Hope those workouts are going well, Chunklunkah!

:sigh: I'm so frustrated with myself. It's TOM, so the scale has been fluctuating wildly each day, and I didn't eat well this weekend. A lot of fried foods, something I hardly ever eat. There's absolutely no way that scale is going to read 147 tomorrow... probably won't even look. I know it's just a blip but things were going well and I was hoping to keep making my weekly goal. To be behind this early in the year is SO frustrating and discouraging.

TOM can be very frustrating with all the water retention, bloating, etc, Roja! But I'm betting next week you'll be right on track!

Chunkahlunkah, you're doing great on your workouts!

Getting there slowly. 148 this morning. It's coming down, but I do hope for one more whoosh tomorrow or the next day. I've been eating really well the last two days and intend to keep doing so, so I should still be losing weight and am hoping to see that soon.

How are your first days of maintenance going, Dee? Chunkalunkah, how are things going?

Hoping you get your whoosh, Roja!

Maintenance is ok. I've had a cold, and have had exactly zero motivation to work out, and have been doing some extra carbs as "comfort food" but so far my body is doing ok. I did get some yoga (gentle) in tonight. Hoping by tomorrow to have enough energy to actually do something a bit more strenuous.

147.6 this morning! Tiny whoosh. I think there will be one more tiny whoosh; the scale hesitated before bouncing up to .6 and I weighed much earlier than normal. I was expecting 147.2 or so and the scale did hesitate there. So hopefully tomorrow!! But it's still a new low, which is very exciting.

Hope you feel better soon, Dee!! Being sick is so miserable.

Thank you. PrincessRoja congratulations on the whoosh!!
Every day i check my weight and it has been exactly the same.?
142.0, the only time i saw it change it went to 140.8, but that changed back to 142.0.
Was going to focus on meals first and then add exercise, but since i still have to pay my old gym membership whether I use it on not, i am planning to go tomorrow night, friday, sat and sun.
Friday my friend wants to meet after work and I don’t want to go all the way home and back but I refuse to cancel my workout so I can meet her for a diet soda or something if she’s still out; i will throw my workout bag under the bar or whatever. Saturday night I have plans but again will limit alcohol and dining out.
Saturday and Sunday workouts i am contemplating walking back and forth. Now that i moved, it would be 6.3 miles each way so that’s 25 miles walking sat & sun in addition to the workout class. If it snows or rain may still be doable. But if it’s windy and frigid i may cop out on the long walks but still get to do the workouts.

I wish I could take your congrats. Every time I bounce below 148 I just bounce right back up again. I didn't dare weigh Monday, 148.4 yesterday, 148.2 today, so we'll see where we go next. I feel your frustration all too well. Sounds like your getting in some great workouts. I'm switching up mine a bit so hopefully that will help push past this plateau.

I think I'd better join this thread. I've been flirting with 150 lbs on and off since the holidays....I just cannot gain anymore weight! I'm not at all happy about it.
Weighed in at 149 this morning. Four years ago I was trying to get out of the 130's; but then gave up. Now I'm at my highest weight ever. This time I'm not giving up...!!!

Welcome, Miss Fit and ange82much! It's great to have more people in the 140s thread. The more, the merrier!

How are things going, Panda?

For my part, down from 148.2 to 147.8 today, which was a bit surprising because yesterday wasn't my greatest eating day ever--okay calorie wise but just too many fast carbs and sweets. The scale has been inching down for a few days and I've been eating well overall so I do hope I'll get a whoosh at some point soon. I think I'm hanging on to a bunch of water, if the way my body is acting is any indication. I would realllllly love to see that number move down soon past 147.5 for the first time in months and months instead of just bouncing back up like it has recently.
