Hiya new here! I started by weight loss journey at 159lbs on January 16th and am down to 148.7lbs on February 16th. So I passed the 150s and am attacking the 140s now. Ultimate goal is 125. And just so you know sometimes it can take more than a week for the scale to move. Your fat cells convert to water cells and your body holds onto them a bit just to make sure you don't need them. Also if you under-eat (under 1200 calories for an average woman), your body can hold onto that fat and water for longer (it thinks it's starving so it's trying to save you). I used to eat under 1200 for a week and stopped losing weight (maintenance is 1900 for me) I upped it to 1400 and the scale started moving again. So don't get depressed and make small adjustments to see how your body adjusts.

Gaaaah I have been stuck at exactly 146.8 for like a full week, all while running a huge deficit and taking 14,000 steps a day.

Fingers crossed for some movement tomorrow, or I may lose my mind!

Hope you are all crushing it this lovely Friday.

sympathies KoalaT because i'm exactly the same, or rather from last Sunday, I've been completely on eating-plan but my weight's been going up! At least this morning I came back to where I was last week (66.4kg). Not surprising in my case since last Saturday/sunday was a super-whoosh, but still a bit unrewarding since!!

Welcome, MelodicWarrior! Hope the scale is moving in the desired direction for all of you!

I haven't weighed in a few days or really been focusing on losing weight, but the scale has been hovering in the 147.something range, which is promising.

Whoop! That's exciting! And wow are we ever close. 147.6 this morning for me, which is really nice to see. The weekend was a weekend eating-wise. :P And TOM approaches. So to not see a huge spike was really encouraging--it stayed totally level from the last weigh-in, which was Thursday, I think. It's been a full week in the 147s so it does seem like I've finally beaten the 148s plateau.

Aaaaahhhhh! I shot back up to 149 this morning!!

What on earth?? I’m so demoralized. It feels like these last two weeks have been for nothing. Trying to remain calm...renewing my commitment to this...but...rawwwwwr!!!

Don't worry KoalaT. It is definitely not for nothing, slow and steady wins the race. Also, I know I gain weight right before that time of the month.

Thanks MelodicWarrior. It’s always good to get a reminder that it’s not a race!

Glad the scale went back down for you, MelodicWarrior! And hope it comes down for you soon too, KoalaT!!

Down a touch to 147.4 this morning, which really surprises me. TOM started yesterday and I've always spiked rather badly before. Can't complain though!

Congrats Princessroja! I also usually spike before TOM (sometimes almost 8lbs its crazy - you can't help but freak out a bit when you see that on the scale) but glad for you that you've been able to maintain and lose a little. And no worries KoalaT if you're consistent, the number on the scale will start moving down again

Down to 66.9kg (147.4 lbs) so that running and power yoga paid off. Can't wait to get to the 146 mark (and at 145 I'll finally have a normal BMI again). Today I decided to take more of a rest day (I can feel my knees are a little wobbly for yesterday's intensity) so just stretching and a relaxing yoga class today will have to do. Hope things are going well for you girls!
