Posting here as motivation...I am close, so close. See you guys soon :)

Frances123 01-05-2015 10:29 AM

:welcome2: newbies and so good to see you guys, lotsakids and nonameslob!! Seems like a lot of the old-timers have dropped out of these forums. How has everyone been doing in the new year?

I have to admit that I haven't been doing well. I had the flu for a week over Christmas, and then still weak last week. Only made it to the gym twice in those two weeks. Out of my routine, so ate a ton more. Especially sweets, a few binges. I am afraid to weigh. Weighed in at 170 on Dec. 28, but have gone over calorie all but TWO DAYS since. Way over. I am sure I put on at least 2 - 3 pounds. But back at the gym today and back on track. Going to get two back-on-track weeks under my belt, so to speak, before weighing again.

Hope everyone is doing well!

lotsakids 01-06-2015 08:17 AM

178.8 today, hoping to get things back down.

Noir 01-08-2015 08:32 PM

After the holidays I have gained 10lbs :( Back into the 180's...hopefully in a month or two I will be back down in the 170's. I have 74 lbs total to lose.
I am cheering you all on!

hhm6 01-09-2015 12:50 AM

Just the thread I needed!!

So last summer I hit 168...got overly confident, started grad school and now I'm at 179 =(

SO! I made a new years resolutions to take better care of myself, and also make better use of my $$$$ tuition and utilize the gym! I weighed in at 181 over the holidays, but I think I lost some water weight, so I'm around 179 now.

I go to school with some VERY fit people, so I'm really trying to adopt some their healthy habits and be somewhat healthier weight by summer time!!

The last 170s thread helped me quite a it, so I'm ready to start again with all of you!! :carrot:

nonameslob 01-09-2015 08:44 AM

Just dipped my toes into the 170s for the first time, 179.8! So close to no longer being obese and I have definitely never seen the 170s as an adult.

toodles11 01-09-2015 10:20 AM

Weighed in this morning at 170.6! So close!

Last spring I got down to 166 and once summer rolled around I have just maintained a 5lb range between 167-172.

My biggest struggle is the weekend. I can easily maintain my weight because I stay on plan during the week and splurge on the weekends. However, my goal is NOT to maintain but to LOSE! My DH & I have a date night tonight and I've already pre-planned what I'm going to eat/drink so I stay within my goal or no more than 200 cals over. I don't have any other plans for the weekend that will make it difficult to stay on plan so I am really determined to make this weekend a success. I also will try to fit in light workouts on Sat & Sun.

I always seem to be more motivated to stick to my diet goals when I fit in my workouts.

Frances123 01-09-2015 11:06 AM

:balloons: WAY TO GO, nonameslob!!! You've been looking forward to this for a long time and working so hard! That's amazing!!!

Toodles, I so know what you mean. I've been bouncing between 170 and 175 since HALLOWEEN. Ready to buckle down and finally get this weight off. Weekends are hard, but I usually let myself eat an extra 100 - 200 calories and it helps me from going overboard.

sammymilner 01-10-2015 08:06 AM

For me I have had a couple of weight gains and I just want to get back into the 170's before I make it out of them. I have been lurking in the 170's and 180's since the beginning of last year and now I want out and I want to finally make it into the normal weight range and get my BMI down.

Put on 5.5 pounds over christmas and have already lost 5 pounds of it so nearly back on track and only 1.5 pounds off being back in the 170's so wish me luck :)

I could have wrote this!! Except I got all the way up to 180 this time, so disappointed in myself but it's slowly going down!! You must be feeling skimny at 170.6!! wTG!!

Weighed in at 177 today!

sammymilner 01-16-2015 07:27 AM

So after detoxing my Christmas naughties - I can officially say I am back in the 170's at 176.5 and can't wait to leave you all :)

The sooner I am in the 160's the happier I will be with my weight loss and 7 pounds really doesn't feel that bad to get there. So hopefully we will all be in the 160's together sooner rather than later!!!!

DrivenByAmbition 01-16-2015 04:04 PM

I am barely in 170s, 179.9

CanoeGirl 01-16-2015 07:50 PM

I am in the middle of the 170s - weigh in tomorrow - hope to keep going down :)

hhm6 01-18-2015 09:56 PM

Down to 176. 4 today! 3.8 down from my last official weigh in. I can already feel how hard it is to start going down again. This is when I'm kicking myself for going off track =(

Are you guys calorie counting? what number are you sticking around? I try to keeo around 1500 does that sound too high? It's my comfort spot where I do feel hungry or feel the need to binge.

Frances123 01-19-2015 02:03 PM

hhm, I'm a calorie counter. I stay between 1450 and 1500 calories per day, and that's with an hour of pretty vigorous exercise. Everybody has to find their "sweet spot", though - depends on how tall you are, how active, etc. You can google "how many calories should I eat to lose weight" and find some good calculators!

Well, I'm doing a 28-day reset! I've been bouncing between 170 - 174 since HALLOWEEN. I wanted to stay in maintenance mode during Thanksgiving/Christmas, so I'm happy about that, but I'm officially sick of the 170s! So for 28 days, I'm:

- not weighing
- eating my fruits and vegetables EVERY SINGLE DAY for lunch (not supper, when sometimes I lose my strength of will and eat tacos instead)
- not indulging in treats
- not baking
- keeping my carbs, for the most part, pretty low
- tons of exercise

Normally I believe in moderation, not deprivation, but this is only for 28 days. I hope to step on the scale at the end of the 28 days and see that I'm firmly in the 160s! Fingers crossed!

Frances- wow you are doing amazing! and I like your 28 day plan!! Carbs are the hardest for me to stay away from especially in school, I feel like I always feel like munching on things that are high in carbs. I think 1500 is my sweet spot too, I'm very comfortable here, so I might stay here especially since I'm losing so far.

Today I weighed 175.6! I usually don't change my ticker unless I've seen the number consistently for a couple of days. but yay!

sammymilner 01-23-2015 10:59 AM

Now at 177 and hope to be out of the 170's in time for march :) hopefully i can do it on time!

CanoeGirl 01-25-2015 10:05 AM

I am down to 171. Hope to hit the 160s within the next 2 weeks.

As for the sweet spot, I think it is really personal. I am on WW and have 27 points per day. I have been eating my points, all my weekly points and all my exercise points plus going over and still losing so I think it depends on your body. I have only done WW once before, been active most of my life so I seem to be a slow to gain person who can lose the first 10 pretty quickly when I get back to healthy habita.

hhm6 01-25-2015 06:34 PM

MY TOM started and I'm 178 =( I know I'm supposed to expect fluctuations but I've also been eating more so I feel like this weight might even stay. Sad =( Hopefully it goes away.

hhm6 01-26-2015 08:53 PM

177.2....ugh i i hate TOM and water retention (which is what i hope this gain is and not actual lbs I've put on!!)

sammymilner 01-30-2015 11:07 AM

Looks like I am stuck here for a while too - just put a pound on this week and I am now at 178 pounds.

Hopefully next month I will be out :)

hhm6 01-31-2015 03:29 PM

I've had a slight toothache this past few days and haven't been eating well at all, so my weight is 174.1!!!

Excited but I know why it's so slow so I'm going to see how it goes this week. but it's definitely motivating!!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

hhm6 02-01-2015 06:07 PM

174!!

That's 8lb loss in the past month, a little more than I usually lose and grateful for that!

It's been a hard month with financial struggles for my family and I. Feeling very grateful for my weight not going up and keeping my head in the right place!

hhm6 02-03-2015 11:17 PM

175.2 two days in a row...that 174 was short lived! =(

grinchygirl 02-04-2015 01:53 AM

Still in the 170's, but I'm closer than I've ever been to the 60s. Its weird hitting numbers I've never seen in my life.

Frances123 02-05-2015 07:21 AM

You guys are doing great! I can't wait until I can weigh in again. One more week, ARGH! This month-off from weighing is tough!!

grinchygirl 02-05-2015 09:59 AM

Thanks hmm6! The hardest part is perserverance and you are doing awesome keeping committed to your goals!

171.8 today, getting there soon I hope!

hhm6 02-05-2015 11:34 PM

Thanks grinchygirl! I weighed it 176.5, not sure what's going on but I've been really bloated lately and haven't been exercising since I have an exam tomorrow.

Definitely getting into beast mode workout after the exam. :carrot: Hope everyone is doing well!!

Frances-a week is not far away!! =)

DrivenByAmbition 02-05-2015 11:57 PM

176.1 yesterday, I think I was up to 177.2 today. TOM... Ready to be in 160s!

Katiepony01 02-07-2015 12:37 PM

Hi. I'm back and seriously anxious about my weight. I'm at 175 and can't bear it. Body image is terrible. Feel awful. Hoping that I can do this and get to my goal weight. Sigh.

grinchygirl 02-08-2015 12:29 PM

Welcome back katiepony! You can do this!

I'm hanging out at 171, my birthday is next week so I'm hoping I make it out of this decade by then!!

175 has been my ad number for so long, i go +1/-1 but it never stays!!

Posting daily on here definitely helps me! 176.1 today, slowly going down i hope.

hhm6 02-14-2015 08:28 PM

175.3 today, where is that 174!!! :( the 170s are really the toughest numbers for me...

hhm6 02-16-2015 12:27 PM

I saw 174.2 today guys!

I'm going to be really careful and not slip up because this is always the number that ruins me and shoots back up!

Happy Monday!

hhm6 02-17-2015 06:17 PM

173.7 today!!! but i am so sore and hungry today that i feel like i may be up tomorrow =(

hhm6 03-16-2015 01:19 PM

This thread is really quiet lately!

I weighed in at 171.9 today but I did see 170.8 this weekend, but then didn't work out for two days. Hoping it goes down soon!!

Happy Monday everyone!

Streudel 03-16-2015 08:12 PM

Hello there!

I'm just breaking into the 170s. I saw 179.5 and 179, so I thought what the heck, I'll jump on in and assume the 170s are going to stick. :)

hhm6 03-16-2015 10:26 PM

Hi Steurdal!!!

And WOW!!! I just saw your ticker and you're are just amazing!!! What is your strategy?!

nonameslob 03-17-2015 08:51 AM

I guess I should start posting here again, too. I still haven't stayed in the 170s for very long, but I dip my toes in here at least once a week LOL I'd love to be done with the 180s for good, as it's been months.

Hey, Streudel! Long time no see! :)

hhm looks like you will be out of here in no time :)
