danieh09 10-13-2015 09:48 AM

Hey ladies! New to this site. I am looking for supportive women who relate to my struggle and it seems like you all are exactly that. I was at 175 last week, but went to visit family and lost all control, so this morning I weighed in at 179. I'm hoping at least a couple pounds is water weight!!

Penny105 10-13-2015 10:27 AM

danieh: Welcome to 3FC! :welcome2: There a lot of great resources and advice around here.
Congrats on your loss so far!
It's kind of quiet in this thread, but hopefully more people will join it as we go through the 170s and into the 160s. :)

Raining 10-13-2015 11:12 AM

Hi! Weighed in at 179 this morning and am so happy to hit a new decade!

Penny105 10-13-2015 05:21 PM

Hi, Raining! Great to see you here! Let's hit the next decade soon!

Penny105 10-14-2015 07:22 AM

177.6 today. Getting cold here. Not a fan.

danieh09 10-14-2015 07:44 AM

Creeping back down to 175. Down a pound at 178.0, my water weight is just as stubborn as body fat.

danieh09 10-15-2015 07:26 AM

177.2 this morning! Have my 2 OrangeTheory HIIT sessions yesterday and today, and those typically help my weight go down.

Raining 10-15-2015 12:05 PM

Nice drop danieh09!

After dropping a pound each the last 2 days, looks like I may have gotten rid of the extra water weight, feels great after stalling for over a week!

Hope everyone has a good day today!:cheer2:

Penny105 10-16-2015 12:05 AM

177.0 today.

danieh09 10-16-2015 07:37 AM

Back up to 178.6 :(, but i'm getting sick so I'm not really stressing about it.

Penny105 10-16-2015 08:27 AM

177.0 today, again. I remember when my body used to consistently drop a little weight everyday. Now it drops, stops, gains, stops, drops, etc.
That's okay. I'm on plan and it's an overall downward trend.

Danieh: I agree. Water weight can stick around a long time. Not fun. The only upside is that when it does drop off, it can be a bunch at once, unlike body fat.

Raining: It's always nice to shed the extra water weight! It's a good morale boost when starting (or restarting). I've been enjoying my whoosh, too. Think it's over though...

Penny105 10-17-2015 10:50 AM

177 again. Waiting patiently for a drop. :)

Danieh: I hope you feel better soon! That's never any fun to get sick.

Penny105 10-18-2015 08:36 AM

176 this morning. Patience pays off.

I think I'm going to do one post for a bunch of weigh-ins. Then I can just edit it.

October
18 - 176
19 - 175.2
20 - 175
21 - 176 (woke up feeling SO bloated...no idea what that's about, but it's kinda uncomfortable).
22 - 176.6 (still feel very bloated)
23 - 177.2 (eating is 100% on plan...no idea what this is, but once again, patience is needed).
24 - 177 (still 100% on plan, no overeating).
25 - 175 (yay!)
26 - 174.2 (so nice not to be so bloated!)
27 - 173.6
28 - 173.8
29 - 172.8
30 - 173.6 (still on plan)
31 - 173.2

danieh09 10-19-2015 08:45 AM

Penny105 - That's a great idea, since it seems it's just us in this thread :)

Penny105 10-19-2015 09:27 AM

Danieh: Yeah, it's pretty quiet, so I figured I'd just edit my weight post for weigh-ins, and then if there are comments/questions/discussions/etc. I can just do a new post for those.
I also think some of the others here may not be daily weighers, so they won't be here much.
How's it going with you? Do you feel any better?

danieh09 10-19-2015 10:34 AM

Penny105: I'm feeling much better, thanks! I am struggling with losing weight, not sure what is going on. I'm going to a doctor later this week so hopefully I get some answers!

Penny105 10-20-2015 09:49 AM

Danieh: That must be very frustrating. I hope the doctor can help you figure out what's going on.

Raining 10-23-2015 11:30 AM

Hope everyone is doing well. I am still trucking along. I have had a pretty crazy month this month but sticking with my eating and being creative with my exercise to make sure I get it in.

Have a good weekend :cheer3:

jeminijad 10-25-2015 04:36 PM

Hi. I'm new to this thread. I have been in the 170s since the beginning of October - this morning I weighed in at 174.6.

I'm 5'6", so I'm 11lbs below obese. Used to be obese - had a high weight of 215.

I'll go back to the beginning of the thread and at least skim to see who is in here :)

danieh09 10-26-2015 09:25 AM

Went and got tests done on my Thyroid and Insulin this morning. I had to be fasted, so I came back and immediately made coffee, the struggle was real. I hope to get some answers and if anything is wrong, be able to naturally fix the problem. I highly dislike taking medicine.

Penny105 10-26-2015 09:39 AM

I'm so ready to be out of the 170s and into the 160s. I want to get this show on the road! And I miss seeing bones and tendons from lower weights... But patience is key. It won't happen overnight, and I know that. It's not magic. I'll get there.

Raining: good to hear from you! I'm glad this month has been going well despite being so busy!

jeminijad: Welcome to the 170s thread! :welcome2: Congrats on being overweight (and not obese)! That's an awesome feeling, isn't it?
Just a heads up about this thread: it was resurrected, so most of us weren't here at the start of it, and the people who started it are gone now.

danieh: Good luck with your tests - I hope they come back and say you're fine, or that the problem is an easy fix!

Raining 10-27-2015 11:51 AM

Penny105, I am right there with you on wanting to get there! It won't be long! :cheer2:

I have seen so much change in the last 30 pounds, I am so excited to see what the next 30 have in store. It's been so long since I have been in the 160s, I am so looking forward to getting into that decade soon.

danieh09 10-27-2015 08:57 PM

Well my results came back and my vitamin D was pretty low at 18 ng per ml. On supplements for 8 weeks then retest. Hoping this helps my energy levels.

Penny105 10-29-2015 12:47 PM

Does anyone ever wonder what their body shape is? You know, they always have pear, apple, ruler, inverted triangle, etc. Although apple always seems to just be 'overweight' on some sites.

I just can't tell exactly what I am. I have too much fat obscuring it. I know for SURE I'm not a pear or an hourglass. That's about it. I could be V-shaped, or ruler-shaped, or apple-shaped, or something along those lines.

Sometimes I just really want to know, but it's so hard to tell with my current weight. I've done online things that are supposed to tell you, but usually I get "Unknown." Gee, thanks.

Someday, I want to know.

Raining: I've seen some really good changes the last 30 lbs, too. And I can't wait to see the changes in the NEXT 30 lbs (and beyond)! But I tend to get tired of a decade about 2-5 lbs in...and then want to be in the next lowest one.

Danieh: I hope the supplements help! And that there's nothing seriously wrong. Good luck!

danieh09 10-29-2015 02:17 PM

I'm one of those people who obsessively research something and it's unreal how much Vitamin D effects everything. I've read a lot of women in similar situations as mine finally seeing weight loss after restoring their levels. My energy levels are already 50% better, so i'm very happy! I'm going to back off on being as aggressive with my weight loss until my levels stabilize and my body is in a better position to handle a calorie deficit.

nonameslob 10-29-2015 02:46 PM

Inching closer...I'm excited for tomorrow's weigh in, though I don't think I'll quite be out of 170, I should be really really close. I have been in this decade since February! No where near hitting my goal to be under 150 this year but at least I've made some progress.

Still, I have never as an adult been in the 170s. The 160s will be equally new territory. Maybe next year I'll see a single digit clothing size for the first time lol

Wannabehealthy 10-30-2015 09:13 AM

Penny, this site seems to be pretty good for choosing your body type. Mine is a no-brainer...I am a big shiny red Apple. LOL When I was normal weight I was an hourglass, but all my weight gain went into my midsection. I never heard of "column." I think that compares to "ruler", straight up and down.

http://chasingcait.com/what-body-shape-am-i/

love2b150 10-30-2015 10:30 AM

Danieh, how much vitamin D are they suggesting you take to get your levels up?

Penny, it seems like everytime I see 169 point anything my body gets scared (or my mind goes crazy) and the 170's are back :)

NNS, you're doing great, as always ... 160's here you come ;)

The lowest I've been was 152.8. I would love to get close to that again. I just told someone on another thread that I think that I am starting to be ok at this weight eventhough I know it's not my ideal weight and surely not good for my health. But life just seems to keep me from going any lower/staying for awhile/then continuing on, idk ...

today 172.5, October 1st I was 170.2, smh

danieh09 10-30-2015 11:03 AM

Right now I'm on a weekly supplement of 50,000 iu (D2) for 8 weeks. Once I retest to see where my levels are at and if i'm absorbing it properly, I assume we'll begin working towards finding how much puts me at a maintenance level. I've been seeing a lot of women who tested at around the same level and take 5,000 iu of D3. All I know is I started taking the supplement on Tuesday and already feel like a different person.

Raining 10-30-2015 12:24 PM

I tried to figure out my body type but looks like I don't fit in any of those perfectly. I would say I am closest to pear, though my shoulders aren't narrower than my hips.

love2b150 10-30-2015 02:01 PM

danieh, wow ... I'm glad you're feeling better :)

Raining, I don't know where I'd fit either :) I'd say an hourglass with an apple gut :D

danieh09 10-30-2015 02:18 PM

I will say I got back up to 180 on Monday and this morning I'm back down to 178 without tracking macros or really trying, but still eating healthy. That made me happy.

love2b150 10-30-2015 02:33 PM

keep up the good work :)

Penny105 10-31-2015 10:46 AM

NNS: Hopefully we all get to wear a LOT of single digit clothing next year! :D

Wannabehealthy: Thanks for the site! I got even scores on column and apple. Lol!

Love2b150: I've had that too, that rebound when I cross into a new decade. I wonder if I feel it coming on, if I don't weigh for a while and silently pass the threshold if that'll help...
Either way, we're getting to the 160s and staying there!...for a little while, and then moving onto the 150s pretty soon afterward. ;)

Danieh: I'm glad the vitamin D supplements are helping!

Raining: Yeah, my body doesn't fit exactly anywhere, either. That's okay, I kinda already knew that. Do you have a hard time finding clothes that fit your shape well? I do.

Penny105 10-31-2015 10:48 AM

I'm going to do another monthly weigh-in post. It's just a lot easier to edit the one post, at least for me.

November:

1- 173.6
2- 173.2
3- 173.2
4- 173.8 (Okay, I'm kinda tired of 173 now... this is like day 8!)
5- 173.8 (Nevermind, it's actually been 10 days now )
6- 173.4 (day 11...)
7- 171.4 (okay, now let's keep moving down, yes?)
8- 170.8 (I'm liking this trend. Let's keep it going.)
9- 171.6 (I guess not... :/ )
10- 171.4
11- 170.2 (Good direction! Keep going!)
12- 169.6! (Hope it sticks around!)
13- 170.8 (it didn't...)
14- 169.4
15- 168.4

Okay, I think I'm calling it. 160s it is. :D

love2b150 10-31-2015 04:00 PM

Penny, I sure hope that's the way next year works for me. :) This is my plan ... I have decided that rather than think about losing weight and getting to 150, I will focus on getting back to the weight that I started at on January 1st of this year which is 165.8. which means that I will need to only lose 6.7lbs by December 31st. That sounds/seems doable. I will them focus on the 15.8lbs to get down to 150 by April 14th then I will give myself the remainder of 2016 to do the last 18lbs. ... I now need to add 2.7lbs as of today to all of that ;)
also Penny you are welcome to join us on this thread ... http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/100-...ty-thread.html I've been weighing daily for years :)

weight today 175.2 up 2.7lbs. The results of burger king, shower, then bed, woke up late and voila, smh

Weightever 11-01-2015 03:02 AM

Today is Day 30 of my Whole30 program and I've just stepped on the scale. I've lost 8 pounds in 30 days - from 175 to 167 pounds. Wohoo! So happy :)

leopardspots 11-01-2015 09:33 AM

Hey ladies! I'm pumped to join you at 179.8 this morning. I'm planning on working my butt off and am hoping to hit the 160's by mid December. Let's do this!

love2b150 11-01-2015 04:42 PM

Weightever, what is whole30 all about, do share? Good job on the 8lbs GONE :high:

leopardspots, :welcome: to the new decade :)

Weightever 11-01-2015 06:22 PM

love2b150, Thanks! :) Whole30 is all about eating as healthy as possible - eating home-cooked whole foods. I eliminated dairy, sugar, grains and legumes from my diet for 30 days and now I'll slowly reintroduce them back while paying attention to how my body reacts to them.

I feel so healthy and good right now, I really encourage people to try this.

Take a look if you want to know more about this: http://whole30.com/whole30-program-rules
