Haha saasha17, that's exactly my attitude… can't wait to be in the 160s so I can complain about getting into the 150s!
I'm at 173 now. So a drop, but for some reason, these last five pounds feel like they will take FOREVER to get off. Even though it's literally only been a week since I got within 5 pounds of 160s (174.8 last Wednesday). 3.2 pounds… just…. get… off! |
My weigh ins for the past 5 days:
173.6 173.8 173 173 173 ………………………….. Ok 173 I'm bored of you now. My body seems to cling on to a certain number for 3-10 days and then have a sudden drop where I lose all the weight I was losing over that period of time at once (at least I trust and hope that's what it's doing). Always so hard to trust even if you're staying at your calories and maintaining activity that it's going to drop, but I know it will! Just in case anyone else on the thread is experiencing the exact same thing… I also got stuck at 182/183! Hah. I was bouncing between 183. something and 182. something for a whole week. Then a 3 day drop pushed me into the 170s! So it must have something to do with the closeness to the next decade, it just wants to thwart me! |
Back down to 175.8. Lots of fluctuation as usual for me, but overall my weight has been lower so I can't complain about that!

Hi ladies! I'm still here! Can you believe it! 170.6 today. I've been 170.x for 1.5 weeks lol!!
The only thing I can think of holding me back is I definitely ate too many cashews a few days in a row. Not like buckets of them, but an extra Handful or 2 a day, which is like 300 cals! It's easy to forget when you get them from the giant bin from Sprouts/Whole Foods and they're not packaged with the nutrition info on them. They're like 160 cals an oz. so yummy! I'm back to measuring those nuts lol. I did hot bikram yoga yesterday and had a good free weights session earlier this week and am sore from head to toe. I feel really good. Obviously I want the scale to go down, but my arms look so much better, my stomach and thighs are shrinking. But best of all, I just plain old feel better. I'll keep doing what I'm doing and the scale will follow! |
I am frustrated as heck! Last week I got down to 172.8 for a very modest loss of .4. This week, like last week, I have been perfectly on plan yet today I am up to 174.0. SO FRUSTRATED!!
Last week was my TOM so I don't think that's it...any suggestions? This is my 7th week on plan, could this be my first plateau? Get me out of this decade :) |
170.2 today. I'm constipated again! :( any time I eat bread or any processed food more than 1 day in a row, I get backed up and hold on to weight! This time, it was GF raisin bread. I don't think it was the cashews at all now. :?:
I don't know goodday. It is so frustrating. How many cals are you eating? Nns-I love how you focus on your fitness goals and how you're feeling! You're definitely an inspiration and reminder to me that I'm doing this for health and to feel good every day! |
I finally saw a drop this morning after 6 days of being 173 something - down to 172.2. I really hope this wasn't a singular whoosh but rather I have a couple days of it and get down into the 160s sooner rather than later.
I don't know what it is about this decade! It's only taking marginally longer than the 180s did, but it's SO EFFING FRUSTRATING ???? Like, 2.4 pounds to get to the 160s, which seems small, but feels like it will take forever. Maybe because I just hate the 7 since 170s feel like nothing but fat to me. 160s feel like still fat, but kind of sort of closer to not that fat. Then 150s are "not that fat" and 140s are "not really fat at all anymore!" so it's like… the 170s are just this huge fatty decade to me I guess (for me) and I hate them. GET US OUT! |
Down to 172.6 today...I agree ladyfat, this decade has always been the most frustrating for me but I think it's because I've spent most of this ACTUAL decade in the 170s so it's always the one I'm extra anxious to get out of. HIheart-I am doing WW but when I added up my calories to check I wasn't possibly eating too much I saw I was at ~1300-1400 per day which seems right to me. I tried messing with macros yesterday and adding more protein given how often I work out and that did get the scale to move a little. Taking the day off from the gym today and hoping for another loss (something, anything) tomorrow for official weigh day. Let's get out of this dumb decade ladies!

172.4 today...at least the scale is going down? Pretty frustrated with .8 total loss in the last 2 weeks but hopefully that means this one will be a big one and I'll meet my mini goal of getting out of the 170s by the end of August (please)!

I agree goodday, that should be perfect to drop. That's what I go for too and it took almost 2 weeks to break 170-171! I think I probably need to add in more exercise because dropping cals is obviously not an option! I try not to eat back all my exercise calories, but I rarely if I feel like I need it. Im usually good though if I eat unprocessed foods. That's still a lot of food! I'll be interested to see if I bounce back up or go back to losing. Please stick to the 160's! |
Down to 171 this morning. Not sure if that's the end of my drop and I'll be stuck at 171 for the rest of the week, waiting for the next drop, or if maybe, miraculously, my body could continue dropping… I'd be on board with that… do you hear that body???
My goal is 169.8 by the end of August as well. Since that is now only 1.2 away, I feel like it SHOULD be possible, but since I want it so bad, I wouldn't be surprised if I was thwarted by water weight, etc. But hopefully not. |
Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well and moving on out of the 170s!
Today was the first time I saw a zero paired with my 7.. so that's positive news! Still 170.6, but last Wednesday I was 173, so really, it's a good drop for this week. But when you're approaching that new decade, it really feels more like "yay, thank you scale gods, BUT HOW ABOUT THAT EXTRA .8 of a pound, yo????". But still, it is only .8 of a pound, so that's SO CLOSE! And 10.8 pounds until the 150s! 20.8 pounds until the 140s! Exciting! |

So 171 is for me the new 173…
Last 5 weigh-ins, most recent first: 170.8 171 170.6 171.2 171 So I've been at 171ish for 5 days. I was at 173ish for 6 days. So maybe by Monday I'll be in the 160s? One can hope. I'm glad I'm tracking my weight loss pattern because I understand this is how my body does it… 3-7 days at one weight, then drop 1-3 pounds… 3-7 days at that new low weight, or slightly above, then drop 1-3 pounds… But EVERY TIME I start dropping weight, the return to being "stalled" then makes me so grumpy. I need to either not track so closely or not get frustrated at the stalling, but still! |
So today I got up, went to the bathroom, weighed, saw 169.8 flash briefly before it settled on 170, thought "damn, that's cold" and then went to go make tea. Then I, uh, felt like I had to go to the washroom again, so I did, and then weighed again (whatever taking clothes on and off burns calories right???) and whoooooo 169.6!!!!!! (sorry for the TMI there). I may bump back up slightly bu I'm feeling like this is legit after so many days at 171!! :)

Really hoping to get out of the 170s this month. I was down to 170 after several months of dieting but I went off-plan for about a month and crawled back up to 175. I took it pretty hard because it was the first gain I've had all year. I've been doing good for the past week and got back down to 173.

my high for August was 179.1 and my low was 173 my high for July was 175.9 and my low was 169.6 so we're about the same ... Let's do this |
Finally in the lower end of the 170s... 173.6 today! I might actually be in the 160s by.. Christmas...at this rate. But yay for progress.

:) Thanks NNS, I've been here off and on this year ;) I feel you on the full time job. I just got a full time last year July, the hours are crazy, but I'm grateful :) and we've been here 3 years now. I'm doing well, trying to once again get this weight back down. I actually got close to my name goal of 150 on 12/1/14 weighing in at 152.8 and then I don't know what in the world happened. I haven't been able to get it together for the life of me.

Saw 172.4 yesterday :) Quite a nice surprise. Back up today after some drinks last night but hopefully it will go right back down. Another big hike on the agenda for this weekend and that should keep the scale moving down! |

Hi all! My home scale read: 179 for the last two days. I'm so happy to see those #s! I hope it goes down at least 1 or even 2 lbs by tomorrow. I have my medifast weekly weigh-in and their scale registers 1lb higher.

I have "returned" to the 170s after I got a new scale that put me 7 lbs higher than my old one. Not a fun surprise, but it was thankfully a short ride back to the 170s. 178.0 this morning. 160s here I come! |
