Hey Angie I guess you're busting those myths that diet coke makes you gain weight, huh? Something about the aspartme in it that makes people crave carbs...I drink it alot too, but I also eat a lot of carbs. I just told myself yesterday that I would try to cut my soda down to just 1 12 oz can a day...trying to save my pennies for my trip to Bangkok this November. Everything I eat has nutrasweet or some kind of artificial low-cal sweetener in it. I'm all for convenience and prepackaged foods, preservatives and whatever...when I die I'll probably be so well preserved I won't even rot (haha). We're losing aren't we, who cares how?

As far as Cappie goes, I remember our ever vigilant 'watch dog' that we kept outside always used to bark at my BIL when he came over early in the mornings and waited outside. Once he fed him some beef jerky one day, the barking stopped (unfortunately for me)--can you feel the love I have for this guy? That's another can of worms so I'll just stop here.

I eat alot of prepackaged foods too. If it is convenient I am all for it. I actually have tried not to change too much in my diet to lose weight because if I thought I needed to eat carrots and celery all day I would never stick with it. I eat pizza and spaghetti and all that good stuff but I use every lowfat ingredient I can find to cook it with. I bought a subscription to Light and Tasty and they have a few good recipes but I can still cut extra fat out of those. As long as the weight keeps coming off I am happy.

HI girls. I"m at work, at the computer, biding my time til an appnt at 5:30pm.. that's right evening appnt again. Hate this crap, but i've been spoiled the past week, eating dinner at home and all. GUess what i"m eating right this minute? I'm so ashamed, it's BK, Veggie Combo, with fries,a nd a diet coke. like it matters that it's a diet soda. Had a nice lunch with hubby, sicne i'd probably be too busy to eat dinner, but then I had an hour to go,a nd needed osmething, and only place around me that had cheap fod, BK. I'm gonna have to walk like crazy to rid myself of this guilt. I was doing so well. BUt i was hungry, and it was cheap.

Chris have you tried the chicken whopper Jr.'s? If you get one of those with a barbeque sauce instead of mayo it is quite tasty and healthy. Just a thought for the future. Wendy's grilled chickens are good for you too. KFC's tender roast without sauce and BBQ chicken sandwiches are healthy as well. I know what to get at most any fast food chain by now.

Yeah, I'm always looking at the menu, and changing my mind. Ah , the power of advertising. Terrible thing is, I got home, and husband had brought home a plate of dinner for me, which I scarfed up. I didn't get my walk in, but I did some exercises, and used my thigh master. Ended up too hot to get to sleep. Who knows. Today's another day for me. So I'm thinking hard about how to stop cheating. It's a no brainer, but for me, I find ways to cheat, even when I'm all planned up for the day. Tonight's a Scrapbook party, my first one as the consultant. On my own. I'm terrified. So, maybe my nervousness will keep me from indulging in bad stuff. Plus, i'm at home a lot of today, so i'll eat from the cupboard, which is always healthy. We have good stuf fin the house, and we don't have convenience foods usually, so if I'm hungry i've got to prepare something. Takes the impulse outta eating here.
