waaah funny poem lol

welcome canoes isn't a shame how work always get in the way of everything
i swear! takes up so much time blah if i was the head of a big business...or even a small business i would make sure there was time for everyone to exercise.....a healthy worker is a happy worker! lol

hmm i've done not badly for the past couple days...not badly but not greatly though i'm not too worried about it atm...yesterday i went to the gym and only walked for 10 minutes and then did whole upper body routine and was out.
then today i jogged 4 miles, walked 1 and halfheartedly pedaled on a bike for 25 minutes- i was tired by that point!
then abs and stretching

i got a couple of really cute tops for the gym and a nice pair of pants too...even though spending money is the absolute LAST thing i should be doing..ooo and a new sports bra.
in fairness all my old sports bras were from like ages ago and were all yucky and worn out so i got a new one, made from that nice stuff that wicks sweat away from your skin.
the shirts are sleeveless and tight and also made from that stuff....they're all sleek and smooth.
and the pants are nike low rider dri-fit i think its called its the coolest material. i was excited to go to the gym today! all looking good for a few minutes until i started sweating buckets! i sweat like a cow. hence the importance of the new shirts that i sweat all over and they look all dry and nice not like my old t-shirts that are always stuck to my skin and looking like i'm a contestant in a wet t-shirt contest.

also i think its time to start working legs. argh! the nice thing is that i can see a definate improvement in shape from all the cardio but man......my legs... cottage cheese city! its absolutely disgusting. there is no way a pair of shorts will be strapped around this butt until this condition improves.
the thing is.....i'm very intimidated by the squat rack and i'm a little unsure how to use it. plus i've seen one person using it in the couple months i've been back (today actually this buff lady was using it)
sorry long post but anyway! tomorrow i'll throw in squats and lunges!

Wow ebe that outfit sounds cute. You wouldn't catch me in it though.

I love doing legs and squats are my favorite. It took me awhile before I would do it. I started on the smith machine first just to train myself how to do it the proper way. Have you used that before?

Sorry I didn't get on much yesterday. It was busy around here. You will here no complaining from me. I hate it when it is slow. I have to find things to do not only for me but for the other employees. No one seems to have any drive around here.

My goal today is:
drink all of my water (I have been slacking)
record all of the foods eaten (I started again yesterday)

hi

kempy yeah i tried the smith machine yesterday. i got all paranoid because people kept looking at me.....i was like what??? am i doing this all wrong???? but i just went ahead and tried. much soreness today! lol its good though
now i know why my legs look like jello....they are jello! i thought i would fall down the stairs after my workout. rofl and its not like it was heavy weight.

i think today i will take a break from the gym...my leg has been hurting a slight bit, tendons in my calf started feeling really weird and tight after running earlier this week, then it felt better and i ran again and it hurt more....ugh
the last thing i want is an injury..
last night i put heat on it and took some advil and today it feels completely better but just to be safe i'll give it some time, see how it is tomorrow

Where is everyone? Is it just ebe and me today?

I have recorded for three days now and am feeling pretty good about it. I have been telling Joe everything that I have been putting into my mouth. I feel like is I have to tell someone and really be accountable for what I do maybe I will be forced to do better.

I got up and do pilates this morning so at least that is out of the way. I don't think that I will do weights tonight b/c we need to go to the store and that takes so much time. Ate least I did something this morning. By the way, the scale moved down 3.5 lbs. I am sure it is water but I don't care as long as it goes away.

I hope everyone is doing ok.

Hi, everyone. I'm still here. I'm still taking life one day at a time.

I'm eating good food, watching the size of the portions, snacking on healthy stuff, drinking lots of water, exercising, and thinking positive thoughts.

And I'm enjoying life. Keep smiling -

Haven't posted for awhile because I've been super busy looking for jobs and filling out applications. Not my favorite thing to do, but anyhoo...

I love writing down my goals and that keeps me on track.

1. 3 low-fat meals
2. Exercise--video this morning
3. Gym--later today
4. Water-8 glasses
5. Vitamins, time to get strong
6. Take care of myself!

Exercise is the key for me in staying strong. When I exercise I feel so good about myself... physically and mentallly.

so goals today, talk to friends, exercise eat right and drink lots and lots of water.

Glad to see everyone back.

Hey Dena have you heard from Heather lately? I havn't seen her around.

I know i shouldn't havev gotten on the scale this morning but I couldn't help it. The weirdest thing, I am down 2 more. What is that all about? I have been very careful with my sugar intake so I guess I was consuming more than I thought. So that makes a total of 5.5. It was so good to hear hubby tell me that I was doing a great job and to keep it up.

I hope everyone is having a good afternoon.

more C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S for Kempy

nice goals dena

i am so pissed...my leg hurts again, more than ever not to mention that i am still hella sore from the other day. argh...no more running for like two weeks.....sigh.
blah i got an ok workout today, quit running after 15 minutes as i could not take it anymore but before that i had walked two miles warming up for weights and then before running....then did some intervals on the stairmaster for 15 minutes and thought i was going to have a heartattack...was sweating like mad, i think mostly just because of the leg being off it throws everything off kinda....then bike for like 15 minutes and called it a day.
blah!!
i'll do advil and heat and then maybe try out elliptical tomorrow thats pretty easy on everything....and my leg didn't hurt at all from walking...pretty briskly too....just running. i guess i should stop doing what hurts.....at least temporarily....

boo

edit to add......while i was on the treadmill i had this nightmare vision of my achilles tendon snapping and going flying off the thing in a crumpled heap of pain....so thats when i stopped. the sheer embarassment of that happening is enough to stop me....not to mention the pain!! that happened to my dad and he was laid up for months. nooooooo way that is happening to me.

Ebe,

we posted at the same time again.lol We must be working on the same wave length.

Try not to overstress your leg. I hurt my foot a while back and ended up doing a lot of other things rather than use the foot. I could still stationary bike. Can you? I also tried yoga and Tai Chi. Good luck, girl!

Hi Everybody!

I feel good this morning that I accomplished yesterday's goals. So guess it's a good idea to do it again.

Goals:
1. 3 small meals - no in between meals, just a snack after dinner
2 Exercise - walk after breakfast; gym- afternoon
3. Vitamins-time to get super healthy
4. 8 glasses of Water
5. Happy Attitude

Well, here they are. Anyone else, ready to get fit and healthy in 2003? We can do it together!!

KEMP, congrats on your weight loss!

HEATHER, where are you? We really miss you!

JO JO, great job in you consistancy. You are our role model!!

EBE, you are our inspiration when it comes to working out. Please take care of your leg. Hey, you know what I did last night? I got up to go to the bathroom and when I came back to bed I ran into the wall, hurting my foot! What an idiot! But I'll walk instead of doing too many things that might hurt it.

CEEJAY, how are you doing?

Is anybody ready for our own personal challenge? Just a thought.

Okay, have a super day!!

Luv, D

hiyas

dena oooo yoga and tai chi....i wish i could do those, my gym doesn't offer them and i live with family and am consigned to a tiny little room that is crammed with most of my belongings and is carpeted at the moment.....ah permanently actually....with clothes and shoes, so i have 0 space for doing dvds....which sucks because i do like doing the method and yoga dvds i bought a long time ago.

happy attitude thats a good goal.....most important. definately.

i put on a pair of pants today that i was on the verge of outgrowing in november and they now fit fine, although my first thought was what.....why aren't these big on me already, as i would really rather be the size below this one than just this size still but all in due time....must have zen like patience and focus and direct only happy thoughts and unconditional love towards the body rather than dwelling on silly things.

one day at a time and all that
my goals for today are....eat well, no snacking
exercise is still up in the air....should probably not but i want to....then again taking another day off won't kill me and i can go do an easy workout tomorrow. sorry digression
another goal - resist temptation to buy a bottle of wine to go with dinner this evening
water water water
