  • I'm in! Put me down for 5 pounds. Starting weight of 180. I do have an out-of-town conference next week--probably lots of opportunity to eat and drink. But also a chance to dance the night away and wear off those calories...hopefully it'll all come out in my favor!
  • Checking in~~

1339 cals, 1 hour of exercise and 8 glasses of water.
  • Newbie here
Hi! Really had fun reading all your positive and fun entries in this forum. I am looking for the right place to "hang out" on line. I am interested in weight loss, have been doing weight watchers for about 4 months now ( a little on and a little off). But I don't want weight to be my main focus for eating right and exersising. I hate it when my happiness depends on that scale at the gym!!!!!!

At the same time my drive to stay on WW has shown me what an amazing emotional dependence I have on food. Wow!

Well, just wanted to say hi!

  • Good Morning, Everyone!

Just got finished doing my morning 30 minute video, took my vitamins and drank 3 glasses of water~~ so I'm off to a great start.

Everyone is doing a fantastic job! Hope you all have a great day.

    Luv, D
  • Hey Georgette! Welcome! It's hard NOT to watch the numbers on the scale, isn' t it??... Sometimes I feel like my whole day revolves around calorie numbers and what the scale will tell me the next day. I guess that's what appeals to me about "one day at a time" -- if we concentrate on doing what we know we should just for today...eventually all those single days will add up and pay off, right??

So, how was your day? I did okay on food today...splurged on an Arby's sandwich for lunch--but no FF!--because I had a haircut appt. Dinner was delish and low-cal--turkey italian sausage with tomato sauce and angel hair pasta and salad. I need to journal my food now and see if I have anything left in my calorie budget for a dessert

    Who else is checking in?

  • Well, yesterday that needle finally moved. Trying not to start expecting it to do that every week! I am going to the icecream shop with my boyfriend today to finish up my points for the day. I look forward to it. Been doing fine, had a major non food depression and stayed on points, amazingly. Also made my workout, even though I didn't get out of bed till almost noon (ah, the life of a student, i just flaked most everything else off!) Thanks for the hearty welcome, good job everybody!!!

  • Hi Georgette.

Glad you could join us! How did you do at Weight Watchers this week? And good for you for rewarding yourself for doing so well. We're starting a One Day At A Time FEBRUARY CHALLENGE this month. Be sure to post your weekly losses there. This will give you more motivation to stick with the program. And congrats for keeping up with the exercise. My motto, exercise, eating right and drinking water equals weight loss.

    Take care,

    D
