Welcome Linda, Good to have you join us.

BlueRidge, I like your Mine-field analogy. I've noticed that after my exercise I'm more careful about what I eat, because I dont' want to undo my hard work.

Paradise, 10 min of exercise is much better than 10 min of sitting. Good start!

I am working on increasing my walking distance. Right now about 1.5 miles and i'm pooped I also want to start lifting weights a couple times a week. I started counting calories and intend to keep doing so. Other than that I just want to keep going and not give up

Today, I am attempting to begin a lower carb diet. I'm holding myself accountable for it! I got my yogurts and such finished yesterday, so I'm ready to start! I've bought all natural deli meats, lots of cheese, lots of green veggies, lots of meats (strip steak, pork, chicken breast)...Wish me luck!!

Nicole, good luck on your low carb diet let us know how it goes!

So Friday night was my bf's sister's birthday and we went to eat dinner at Chili's totally last minute and I was really proud of myself because I ordered the guiltless chicken sandwich and broccoli! This is a very big deal for me. Also, the production Cats was in town this weekend so I took my mom to see it for her birthday and before hand we went to eat at Applebee's and I ordered the under 550 cal Dijon chicken and portobello and didn't even eat it all. This type of behavior is pretty much unheard of for me, usually when I go out I know what I should order but I get what I want. I just wanted to share my two NSV's! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Congratulations Fashin, that's awesome! And thanks - I just know if I spend one more week (this is week 4!) in the high 150s, I'm going to go crazy. LOL.

Breakfast:
A few slices of Boars-head All Natural Tuscan Brand turkey breast
1/2 ounce Boursin cheese

Lunch:
A few slices of Boars-head All Natural Roast Beef
1/2 ounce boursin cheese

4 o'clock meal:
1 cup broccoli
3/4 a cup sliced green peppers
3/4 cup cucumbers
2 tbs chickpeas
2 tbs kidney beans
2-3 ounces rotisserie chicken
1-2 ounces sliced turkey

Later tonight:
7-8 ounces of chicken breast
Sauteed in 1 tbsp olive oil
Topped with 2 tablespoons of boursin cheese

Total Carbs - 23 (-7 for fiber, +2 for diet sodas = 18)
Total Calories - 1051

I'm not sure if that's good. I'm really full, but my calories are super low..

Didn't get a chance to check in yesterday. Went to a baby shower for my niece and didn't do too badly. I drank my water and ate two little quiches (sp?) - those little bite size ones- and had cucumber slices and tomato slices off the deli tray. Then I treated myself to a small piece of shower cake (one layer was lemon and the other layer key lime). My sister told me I was a "little OCD" (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) on the calorie counting. I said, "yep, cause I'm gonna succeed." She meant it in a good way though.

4-11-10 check-in

36+ ounces water
Gonna go do my weekly cleaning

Breakfast
Steel Cut Oats
1 ounce blackberries

Lunch:
Omelet - mushrooms, bell peppers, onion & tomatoes
Mixed fresh fruit - honeydew melon, cantaloupe, grapes

Dinner:
Tilapia (broiled)
Broccoli & Cheese Sauce
SF Chocolate Drumstick (yum)

Approx. 1191 calories - might eat something else before bed.

I wrote out a post for my day, but then erased it by accident, at least I know what I did so I know not to do THAT again. It wasn't a good day to begin with and I'm too tired and mad to retype it now.

Hi to everyone!

Back tomorrow.
