Wink

Twish & JustHave2Try, I totally feel you on the PMSing front.
I'm afraid if anything my water retention might help out your teams rather than mine!
Please don't hate me Team 3!!! D:

Blah. I need to get out of maintenance mode and back into losing mode again. I've been bouncing around this pound long enough.

243.4 this morning.

I've got good news and bad news! My starting weight for this challenge was 215 and I'm down to 214.5, so that's only half a pound. However, I weighed myself on Monday after my horrible long weekend of eating and my weight was up to 222!!! So I've actually lost 7.5 lbs, but sadly it doesn't count in this weigh in.

My vote-Seitan's Sweeties

My weight-214.5

Erin-your little boy keeps you going, doesn't he?

Twish-good job on the loss!!

I'm impressed by how hard some of you are working out!! It inspires me to work harder!

I will say that I think this team challenge is really keeping me in line. Every time I think about not working out or eating something off plan I think of how it will affect the team and I reel myself in!

Have a great Friday!

I am inspired by everyone's workouts, too.

I sprained my ankle badly during a fall (went to hospital in an ambulance) at the end of January, so I can't do anything too high impact until March 17 (8 week anniversary). I have been wearing a pedometer and trying to hit 10 000 steps a day, but I find if I push myself, even with walking, my ankle is killing me (like today).

So, I am going to focus on the good eating again over the next week and keep trying with the pedometer. Maybe aquafit? I've never done it, but an athlete I know who has suffered a lot of injuries said it's a great cardio workout and low impact on all joints. Problem is that It involves a bathing suit and I haven't worn one in years.

Can I just take a moment to say how liberating it is to be able to talk about all of this? None of my friends are heavy and I just don't talk about any of these issues with them. I've been part of this for under a week and I can't believe what a change there has been in my outlook just from being able to share with people who have common experience and are a source of inspiration.

So- THANKS!!!

Sorry I disappeared for a while, I missed out on this whole team business, but I guess I will carry on being a team of one. We went on our (long awaited) honeymoon vacation last month, then as soon as I got back I was working like mad for a big event. I felt like I was spending every waking hour at work, weekends too. Then to top it all off I got sick the day after the event last week. Still digging out from all the wrap up stuff, but at least I’m back to more reasonable work days! Been feeling better this week, I’ve been eating pretty well and doing my training runs and even made it to yoga class.

twish – Sorry to hear about your ankle. Hope it’s all healed up soon. Water exercise is a great idea in the mean time.

Weigh in - 176

Im down to 209 today, so Im happy about that. Ive been struggling with a sore shoulder for almost a month but this week I decided that Im noy using that as an excuse anymore and Ive gone for a 5km run 4 times this week so far. It feels great to see the change in my weight, its like a reward for my hard work this week.
My vote is for zucchini bikini babes

I like Veggie Vixens for Team two, but if we don't go with it here, I will reserve the right to propose it again in some other context!

I have never tried seitan. is it like tempeh?

Seitan is soooo yummy... its actually wheat gluten, you should definitely try something. It's my fav fake meat!

SO today I had a great salad for lunch, home made, and wanted to share something... I bought a bag of frozen artichoke hearts, put some in a bowl- salt & pepper then put a lid on top, microwaved them (to steam) andin about 2 minutes I had delicious artichokes on my salad! Sooo good!
