Ah, sorry for the late check in ive been travellin non stop n at work. Sorry if i miss out some of your responses but i swear this has grown like 5 pages since i was last here!
My weigh in for yesterday was 162 1/2 lbs still. I cant actually remember what my mini goal was for sept 30th. Or what my halloween one was, must recheck that.
I bought a vegan raw food book today, theyre so exspensive but this was the cheapest i could find plus it had a fantastic review
I started my new uni tuesday...the only lesson i had and the teacher didnt even turn up...so what do women do? GO SHOPPING! mwahaha
i just saw loadsa pretty underwear that id love to fit into. Plus i dont know exactly what to go as for halloween. I havnt even arranged a party or anything yet.
Have i been on here for 20 days yet cos they wouldnt give me the little weight tracker thing

Jillnicole...i miss vegan icecream ours is all made outta soya which i cant touch. Get well soon twinkle!

Chickpea... i know how depressin it can be even when you go up half a pound, at the end of the day it was vegan food, no animals harmed and you can get rid of it just ask quick chin up!

Erinmagill...welcome welcome, more the merryier Good luck, this is a fun challenge...we love food

Good luck to ya peeps, i think we've all made an improvment even if it is taking for ever for the scales to go down...the fact is , we're here and we're trying. And being healthy with it

Good morning!

Well, I dropped 2 lbs. since we weighed in, so I guess my hikes are working! I also decided I needed to change my diet. I've done the McDougall plan before with good success (I lost 11 lbs in a month once), but it's quite strict. And strict isn't usually good for me. However, I decided to do this plan to the best of my ability and allow some off-plan foods weekly. It will slow down my weight loss but at least I won't feel really deprived.

Anyway, the plan is just a very low fat vegan diet, heavy on the veggies and starches (potatos, rice, etc.) In fact, when I stick to it I eventually lose my cravings for any junk foods. I'll give it a whirl!

Have a great day!

You can find Dr. McDougall's boards here for info.

Darby: I follow close to it, for health reasons. I try to stay away from the white rice, white flour, excess white potatoes, etc. I do not add any oil to anything either. I have a cholesterol problem and early heart disease that I am trying to reverse.

jillnicole-This is an overview of the program. There are books, but you can pretty much figure things out just by reading online. There's also a lot of information on the forums that kierr gave a link to.

Kierr-how long have you been on it?

THE Heather-sorry about your car. That stinks.
