The monsoon season has finally started :D yay rain :D and 4 rather wet and soggy pee'd off cats :(

peacock 2 07-22-2006 12:12 PM

Ha ha! Nothing worse than soggy pee'd off cats. Mind you, ours (sadly all dead now) would enjoy shaking themselves dry all over us and then sitting on our laps with a "what?, so I am wet, I will soon dry on your lap!!!"

Funny you should say that ...........

It was my ginger tom (Fraggle) that pee'd me off the most, he sat on the coffee table, shook, made some strange meeping noise , then promptly upchucked into my lap arghhhhhhhhhhhhh, guess the heat had got to the poor sod :(

impossible princess 07-22-2006 01:37 PM

On the subject of cats we've been on holiday got back today opened up the house sat down to have a cup of tea and out strolled a black cat. I screamed was not expecting that and I'm jumpy at the best of times. He was very affectionate and dry and it was pouring down with rain today so don't see how he could have come in with us today.

He was quite skinny and we were really worried he'd been in for a week but can't find any poo and had no interest whatsoever in the water we put down for him so all I can think of is that he got in yesterday when the neighbour used our key to water the plants. Strange or what he had no interest in leaving either and proceeded to rub against us for lots of fuss but we put him out the back door and he was lolling about in the garden. No idea whose cat he is I've never seen him before so unless he belongs to the new neighbours its a mystery.

peacock 2 07-22-2006 03:08 PM

Wherever he lays his hat is his home! They do like to make themselves at hom, don't they. I am always amused of tales of cats who moved in with the next door neighbrours! This seems to happen all the time!

impossible princess 07-22-2006 04:23 PM

thats how we acquired one of our cats she was a stray and we felt sorry for her so mum fed her. She used to bite and scratch and was pure evil but within a year she was in in front of the fire and didn't leave for 12 years until she got run over by a car.
She also used to go round the neighbours every day because they gave her milk and we didn't.
My cousins cat regularly disappears for a week at a time too so probably has another home set up somewhere.

Sarah Ann 07-23-2006 04:22 AM

We had the most AMAZING thunderstorms last night and, as Moo says, the rain was absolutely torrential and lasted for ages - the dogs were racing around the garden, loving it. We decided to sit outside under the canopy and enjoy it (and a pre-dinner glass of wine). Then electricity went out and didn't come back on for another 4 hours.

What I hadn't thought about was the way it would turn my normally difficult scramble/climb/walk in to a complete mud-slide. OMG, it was difficult enough climbing up the slopes but it was lethal sliding down them. :sp: I came down the longest one on my :censored:

:( Mr Chav finally came back last night and Mrs C was all over him like a rash. In public. In their front garden. This morning she has a black eye and assorted other bruises! Why do some women put up with that :censored:

2frustrated 07-23-2006 04:30 AM

Sarah - RAWK = rock, you rock, but with an American accent ;)

We went out to Giraffe last night, I had a super-healthy grilled chicken salad :T It really was called "super-healthy" too! It was yummy too! :T

The scales say I'm down 3lbs since Wednesday :sssh:

I had a good kickboxing class yesterday, sweated buckets, got some valuable purple-belt feedback. I should be able to go for my belt test in a week or two. Then at the grading in September I should be able to do blue, then brown before Pregnant Girl comes back and there's not really a gap between brown and black since I am already teaching. I think if you were doing it "properly" they'd make you teach for a year after you got brown, then give you your black belt. Since I am "officially" a black belt  (for insurance purposes) then I should get it straight away! :D :hyper:

Oh and I bought some pretty shoes in New Look yesterday, and some long-ish shorts and a tankini top for Bournemouth! I am the only girl going! :sssh: don't tell DF!!!!

Sarah Ann 07-23-2006 04:34 AM

OMG - I've got one of those somewhere - probably in this size - I remember buying it! I wonder what I did with it.....?

Sarah Ann 07-23-2006 04:39 AM

Nope - just found it - its a size 14. I doubt I'll fit it this summer. :(

micheleherts 07-23-2006 04:48 AM

Good morning to you all

Well I've not been up to much really working, moaning about the heat. You
would think that his heat would make me not want to eat but oh no
my appetite is the same as it ever was.I've not been to the gym but
have walked most nights.

My weight which was ten stone 2 now seems to be a pound over that. It's
under control though. We were at a barbecue last night where I had a good
feed including choccy gateau and cream which I thoroughly enjoyed. I don't
beat myself up about things like that as all through this journey I've said to myself if you really want it then have it

A friend of a friend had found some pictures of me at my heaviest. Dear god
was I a big lump. I never want to be like that again.

Its great wandering around my garden in a bikini top and shorts. Although
my son has an absolute stroke when he finds me with his Nano tucked in my bra or bikini top listening to music. I said wherelse can I put it!!!

Today I'm going to sit in the garden for a while then I am going to have
a drink with my father. He seems to be very well thank god. He is going home
to Ireland for a week next month for the first time he has asked me to arrange
a wheelchair for him his mobility really isn't that good and there is no train to
the gate to Kerry ( Stansted Airport) and it is quite a walk for him. I shall
be looking after my mother for the week. She won't stay here but will come
for dinner and I will pop round in there each day. She will now get in the shower on her own but needs alot of prompting. I can't really remember a time
when she wasn't like this she has been ill for so long, but she is happy and
hasn't had any psychotic episodes for about eight years now. Bloody ****
don't I go off on one sometimes.

I have to make my own poached egg today Martin is helping my little fella
deliver leaflets. Eldest boy is in usual position on sofa watching WWF wrestling.

Have a lovely Sunday and an equally good week

Michele

YP1 07-23-2006 05:38 AM

My run today was rubbish, I managed about 6 miles and then just ran out of steam and pretty much walked the last three miles back (I took a short cut which knocked 2 miles off the planned route). Still, I'm not going to let it get me too worked up, I've still got plenty of time toget some decent long runs in before Berlin.

I'm heading over to Warrington for the rugby now. I've decided to go on the train for a change, even though I'm not intending to drink too much, for a change, and to let me use the travelling time to read and do some Spanish revision rather than being stuck behind the wheel in the car. I've packed myself a lovely picnic - a big vegetable and feta salad with falafel, mixed strawberries and raspberries with yoghurt, some pittas stuffed with rocket, roast peppers and cherry tomatoes, some houmous to add into the pittas when I get round to eating them and some extra bits of pepper to dip into the houmous. I'm only expecting to get back at about 8, so that's pretty much my food for the day. I might chuck an apple in too, although I've probably got more than enough to keep me going!

Sarah Ann 07-23-2006 06:06 AM

Do you think its the humidity? I didn't feel particularly enthusiastic about walking much this morning.

I've got feta and spinach salad for lunch today, with one of those huge tomatoes sliced, with a few olives and chargrilled red pepper.

My dinner's a bit different from yours though - organic shoulder of lamb (got it at that farm last week) slowly braised in red wine with shallots, puy lentils, garlic, bay, thyme and rosemary, served with roasted carrots, cauliflower and broccoli (I use that butter Fry Light stuff - works great on veg) and runner beans. DH is having a baked sweet potato with his, I'm just having lots of veg.

Its gonna take a while to get used to not having a carb with my evening meal!

Homersmummy 07-23-2006 09:25 AM

I went to the gym today... which was nice.
I didn't do much, just about 30-40 mins, but for my first day was ok.

Sarah Ann 07-23-2006 10:52 AM

Homersmummy - Well done! :) Did you enjoy it? Did you have your induction today as well?

micheleherts 07-23-2006 11:41 AM

Well done Homersmummy. Did you ever go swimming in the end?

kykaree 07-23-2006 01:38 PM

Hi all. I've been away camping. I wore my shorts!!! More than a hundred people saw me in my shorts!!! I haven't worn shorts in 15 years! I had a great time, my legs are still white, but my arms are brown.

Cats are funny. When I lived in Oz, I had a great mate who died of HIV/AIDS, back in the day when homosexuality was still an offence in Tasmania. So he had no family to speak of, they had all disowned him. So he asked his estate to ask me to take the cat (after he died - because as the ensuing story proves- he wasn't convinced I would take it). The cat was called Trubs. This is short for Trouble. And the animal was nothing but. I adore cats, but Trubs was completely psychotic, neurotic and every otic you can think of.

The first day the cat moved into the kitchen. I couldn't cook dinner because it threatened to take my leg off. The thing was an enormous tortoiseshell with muscles like Frus on creatine. I rang for pizza, the pizza man was told to come to the back door (farthest from the kitchen) he came to the front, I'm yelling, the cat is mewing (kinda like a Siamese on speed), and eventually he got his money and I got the pizza.

The cat used to terrorise the neighbours. My now ex hubby and I watched out the window with great amusement whilst Trubs tried to bond with the neighbours over the road, and the man of the house turned the hose on it.

Then we didn't see Trubs for a while, she popped around occasionally, but then would take off again. Some different neighbours came round to see me "You know your tortoishell?" ...and I'm thinking the worst, like its broken into their house and eaten their Burmese or something....."Well, we think she's the most affectionate, beautiful cat we've ever seen, she sleeps on our bed every night, we love her to bits and we're moving 400 miles away. Would you mind awfully if we took her?"

Well I would have given them £50 to take the thing. So Trubs got a new family, and I got my life back! She never even let me pat her!

Yeah it was ok. But I've forgotten how to use the machines already. ;)
It was my induction today but once he's shown you the machine you're let loose. :) I went on the cross trainer, bike thingy and tread mill... and this thing that you just wind up with your arms... dunno what it was called!

Might go on Thursday again, but if not definitely next Sunday.

Nooo.:( I am so embarrassed by my body. Smiler53(on here) is going in the gyms pool from next week, she asked me today if I am going to... but I'm not.
I desperately want to, but mheh.:^:

impossible princess 07-23-2006 02:00 PM

cats are weird thats for sure.

Just take it one step at a time homersmummy if you go regularly you'll get confidence and can maybe consider swimming then.

Sarah Ann 07-23-2006 02:52 PM

Homersmummy - seriously, once you are in the pool NOBODY can see your body - and most people are too busy doing their lengths to have the time to look anyway.

Like I said before, the only person I really notice is the one person who makes a big deal about covering up. She wears this long skirt thing to get in to the pool and then does this sort of contortion to take it off, then swims, then does the whole thing in reverse to get out. There is nothing more noticeable in a swimming pool than someone who is fully dressed!

Go for it - the embarrassment will last for a moment or two for the first time you go in to the pool - after that you will realise that there's nothing to be worried about.

Remember - those of us giving this advise have all been there, done that.

lou1978 07-23-2006 03:44 PM

arhhh a tortie !!!.. no wonder.. they are a funny bread.... my gf work m8 has a tortie called Funky.... shes is psychotic.. we look after her sometimes when they go away etc.. we sit with her for a bit ... and she sits with her back to us in a mood haha.. she did go for me once.. BUT i admitt to winding her up ;0)

 LMFAO!

We had two lovely tortoiseshells - one was a rescue cat and the other was a railway cat! All her white bits were black from living on the railway! Awwwww! They came clean though :D

I'm doing "Precision Nutrition" Which is scarily like Atkins - but healthy! So it's fairly low-carb, ie no bread, pasta, brown rice, oats, ANYTHING like that, UNLESS it's a post-workout meal! :faint: Luckily for me, some days I work out 3 times! :D LOTS of veggies - you have to have veggies with every meal (mental image of me sucking on an alfafa sprout for breakfast!) and lean protein at every meal - which is every 2-3 hours! :D :T Oh and supplementing with fish-oils 6g a day. I'm feeling lots healthier already! I'm kinda modifying it slightly, even before I've given it a chance! Because some days I want cereal for brekky and some days (like if I'm doing a long run) I want some carbs before I hit the road. But apart from that I'm trying to follow it to a T. It's got loads of shake recipes, which I have yet to try, and protein bar recipes too. It's costing me a fortune in fruit and veg though *sigh* it seems to be working though.... :crossed:

Yesterday had a rest day - ie lying in bed all day! :D spent 4 hours asleep in the middle of the day! :D

Been out for a run this morning, and like Helen and Sarah, I just ran out of steam! But at least I went and burned some fat off

Going to the gym at lunch to shred some muscle, then I have my little kickboxers tonight. Hopefully more than 3 people show up!! :censored: I'm going to start handing out flyers - a bit like BOGOF! Bring a friend for free!

I suppose I'd better get on with something.... TTFN

peacock 2 07-24-2006 04:53 AM

We had a tortie and white cat (Some call them calico). She was gorgeous. We called her footso (clumsy cat). We bought her from a petshop but my mum reckoned she was the granddaughter of her cat that her Dad got froma building site. She was feral and lived in the greenhouse amongst the tomato plants. Footso herself loved it in there but she was affectionate , loved lying on my parents' bed and would 'stalk' my dad sliding up the bed to get to his scrambled egg. So funny! We used to have bovril (my pre veggie days) - she would go bonkers for it! She had her funny turns though. I was on the phone once and she attacked my ankles. It really hurt. Yet othertimes you could put her in the dolls pram and she would put up with it!

When we got another cat (I brought home a stray) she wasn't that bothered yet a lot of torties do not 'share' their humans.

Sarah Ann 07-24-2006 05:19 AM

I once had a tortoiseshell kitten which put my ex-DH in hospital. It was his fault for sitting on the side of the bed with nothing on... you know what kittens do to dangling balls of wool - well, she did it with certain very delicate parts of ex-DH's anatomy. He probably still bears the scars. Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke. (Not that I'm bitter or anything!)

I've got a dog which, when he's annoyed or upset with me, sits facing in to the corner and sighs until someone comes to find out whats wrong with him.

Pachyderm 07-24-2006 06:15 AM

Morning all.

Never had a tortoiseshell, but have two mad cats and two mad dogs.

Sarah, your dogs sound so well behaved! My :censored: dogs yesterday were such . I took them out with me for my run, but after running for only a couple of minutes I had to give up. They were so badly behaved, they have never behaved that badly with me before. The puppy (Josh - 10 months) disappeared off towards the horizon and bypass so I'm trying to get him back when the older dog (Barney) goes into a ditch with black, stinking, ooze in it and wouldn't then come out. After graduating from sweet and exciting tone of voice, through firm to completely loosing my temper after 20minutes I sat down on the path, put my head in my hands and promptly burst into tears . Thankfully this proved interesting enough for Josh to return to me so I just put him on the lead and started walking home. After a while, Barney realises I've left him and follows me so I caught him too. In the end I had Barney on the lead walking way in front of me, and Josh on a belt so that neither of us would have to go near Barney. He was black (previously was a mostly white springer spaniel) and the mud had a consistency of custard so it took three applications of shampoo to get it all off. I was not impressed with either of the :censored:

Other than that I had a good weekend, although I am  that I weighed 2lbs less yesterday morning than today :tantrum:

Congrats on the shorts Kykaree, and I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one with legs that just won't tan! :dizzy:

micheleherts 07-24-2006 06:19 AM

I love cats we had Sooty when we were very small and when he died my three brothers and I slept in our parents bed and cried all night. We then got Mr Cat who we had for some time but ran away or something awful happened to him we never found out. We never got another cat. My parents have Kitty the cat
after showing my mum and dad what looked like in my new dress before I headed off to a party. My mother said to me the a couple of days afterwards I loved your dress and so did Kitty!!!

My day off today. It's another scorcher. I am going to laze about all day. I'm great at it. Last night two friends and I and Ken went for a lovely walk. We were walking through this field when out of nowhere there appeared a horse
it was like a scene from lost very surreal. Ken went bonkers I don't think he'd seen a horse before we were worried he'd get a kick in the head and kill him
stone dead. We got Ken back and then another horse appeared then a foal.
We decided to go the other way then.

The scales showed ten stone 2 and a bit this morning so everything still downward. I'm just about to go and have egg on toast.

Have a good day everyone

Michele xx

SW 14 stone 10 lbs
CW 10 stone 2 lbs and a bit!
GW 9 stone 7 lbs maybe lower if I can

Sarah Ann 07-24-2006 06:37 AM

George (5) used to be a monster and when he was younger I've had to go get him back from a couple of police stations after he'd done a runner. I actually gave up walking him at one point because I couldn't manage him on a lead - he pulled a lot and he is so strong he pulled me over. Finally I took him to get trained. Best thing I ever did - walks are a delight now. The trainer said NEVER run after a dog, they think its a game and will run away from you or round you in circles. The best thing to do is turn away, stand still and ignore them. It confuses them and they come to see what you're doing. If you have to run, then run in the opposite direction and they'll run after you. Always have a pocket full of rewards and reward EVERY time they respond to an imperitive command (i.e. one their/your life could depend on like HERE, STAY and STILL) - and practice lots and lots but only reward if they do it right on the first command. Fred - 21 months - just sort of copied George - but then Fred is the clever one, he knows that if I get the :censored: that nobody gets any treats of any kind at all - all day.

Actually, mine don't like me running very much. They think there is something wrong and panic/get excited and keep trying to run sideways in front of me so they can look me in the face to find out whats wrong. They don't mind a slow jog so much.

The problem I have at the moment is with (male) runner or joggers. When they run/jog towards me the dogs think I'm about to be attacked so they put themselves between me and the attacker/runner to protect me, raise their hackles and snarl. Not a pretty sight!

kykaree 07-24-2006 06:43 AM

I am at work, and having a lovely day. I need to start getting back on track with the weight loss thing, I'm just cruising along, and not caring enough! I did manage to avoid fudge, chocolate and other delights at the Lakes!!!

I'm just getting lazy with snacks, and not preparing enough, my meals are still healthy, it's what's happening in between that's the problem!

Sarah Ann 07-24-2006 11:01 AM

Phwaarrrr - I just had my aerobics class and Anita, the instructor, is off sick (doesn't inspire much confidence, does it??) So the manager of the local leisure centre stood in for her.... and he turned out to be the lifeguard from the swimming pool with the amazing, tanned legs. Bonus! Not only did I get a great (and totally different) workout but I also spent an hour and a quarter staring at those legs... and all for £1.20!

2frustrated 07-24-2006 11:05 AM

What a bargain - legs for £1.20 ;)

The stupid Bournemouth thing is still stupid! Lee has booked my room, or is going to, or anyway he's rung up to see how much it is. THEN I get a text mesasge from the guy who is really against "us" going, "Oh it's been a lads weekend for a long time we just want to get away from our wives and girlfriends" Yuh huh - soooooo perhaps I want to get away from my SO????

:censored: - head

so I had to ring Lee and find out what the **** was going on, but it's still ok, I'm still going, I'm not replying to the text, he can get a nice surprise on Saturday!

Sarah Ann 07-24-2006 02:27 PM

I think that VERY late Friday night I'd text him back and say 'looking forward to seeing you tomorrow'.

What a bunch of macho idiots - I don't think I could cope with that attitutude at all.

I told DH about the tanned muscular legs... and he's gone to do a LBWO! :lol3:

I feel like I've been runover by a steam roller - and I'm STARVING even though I've had a nice dinner. Makes me wonder how many calories I burned off during aerobics today.

YP1 07-24-2006 02:49 PM

I've had a nice evening so far, sitting in the garden with nice food, finishing off a good book. I'm half considering going for a walk before the sun goes down properly, but might just stay in and attempt to do some jobs round the house. I'm not particularly looking forward to my run tomorrow, my knee has been playing up all day and I suspect it's going to be HOT. I tried to do some exercises to strengthen my knee at the gym this morning, so hopefully it will react OK to those, and if I set out early enough the run won't seem too bad. I knew training for a marathon over summer would be a bad idea! (still it keeps me out of beer gardens when I think about the fact that I have to get up in the morning...)

YP1 07-24-2006 03:49 PM

Ooh, I'm in a better mood now. I've logged my "disaster" of a run and it was actually a mile longer than I thought (10 miles rather than 9), and therefore my pace was far closer to what I was aiming for than I'd calculated, despite the lengthy walk breaks. It wasn't a good run by any means, but not as bad as I thought, and it's still miles under the belt (only 1 mile shorter than scheduled).

Tomorrow is 5 miles so I should be able to do that without too many problems, although I'm planning on getting up half an hour earlier than normal so it is hopefully cooler. I'm feeling a bit more enthusiastic about it than I was, at least!

2frustrated 07-24-2006 04:44 PM

Hooray for unexpected miles ;)

Sarah - I am still going, it's just this one guy who's a :censored: He actually sent me another text JUST before I was due to take "his" old class that set me off blubbing to the toilets. I tried to ring Lee to see if I was still "allowed" to go, since this text made it clear that I wasn't wanted there (at least by him). Couldn't contact Lee till after class, but had a good cry down the phone, so I think he may get that I'm a tad upset about this whole thing!

I'm still going, Lee's still ok with it, everyone else is apart from this one guy, so Lee says he's told this guy either come, with me going, or don't come and you won't get your money back! We'll see what happens. I think he should grow up IMHO!!!! I was seriously thinking about quitting after this last message, but it IS just this one guy, so I'll just hate him! And Lee is trying to please everyone and not having a back bone!

Oh and I'm still going and just ignoring his texts and I'll see his face on Saturday, he obviously has some sort of girl-problem (I'd say so, judging by his current relationship(s)) [/rant]

Anyway, so I came home and cooked my salmon, then played some LOUD meatloaf and tried on my feckin :hot: corset (real one here, laces up the back and everything!) that I'm going to wear on Saturday night  Then I wanted to eat chocolate, so I made myself a choccie protein shake and promptly sprayed it all over the walls! Hooray for self-control today! :cp:

PS sorry for the rant - don't usually get quite this mad!

lou1978 07-24-2006 06:15 PM

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ..... maybe there is something in the air!!

welll upped runnig to w3 d1 of couch to 5k.... walk 3 run 3.... x3.. or so i thought... i was gutted to find my gf who said it was 4 x (after collingdown..!!!!) .. i could have done another.. and didnt coz i thought it was only 3 x.... grrrrr neermind...

i found it easier acutally than walk 4 run 2.... ????

YP1 07-25-2006 01:48 AM

Frus, rant away! He sounds like a complete :censored: so I'd just ignore him, it sounds like everyone else is OK with you going so why let one :censored: spoil it?

My run wasn't bad at all in the end. I'm always like this after a holiday, it takes me a while get back into it. I think it's more mental than physical, somehow if I take a week off I don't believe I can do it any more. We'll see how my 8 miler goes tomorrow (must remember not to drink tonight at a works do), but I'm feeling better now.

lou1978 07-25-2006 03:39 AM

YP1 corse u can do it!!!.... i think it does feel harder tho.... not on teh same level as u of course... BUT we missed a few days last week... (had a longer break than usual) and it was V hard on the next session ... its quite scarey how quicky u loose all the work u have done... if u dont keep it up!>.. i guess there is no going back now...

jen had a 1/2 hr with the personal trainer (free)... she was doing some boxing thing he was 1, 2, 1, 2, .... um on the last 2... she lost her concentration and boshed him with both arms.... hahah.. was much fun... shes applied to the police.. we did the bleep test practice @ the weekend.. only got to the end of level 3.... have to be 5.4 to pass... !... not sure when the fitness tests will be if she gets passed the interview.. so we could have a while... or might not !!... eeekk...

have a good day all.... im going to sit in my cupbaord and try n look busy.... any tips!... ive been doing it since December... so my act is wearing thin lol... im leaving to go to the other unit in a few weeks... so not wanting to get stuck into major projects... but i just know its goin to happen... :0(

2frustrated 07-25-2006 03:50 AM

lou - I think there's push & pull tests too, push-ups and stuff too. I think you can look it up. There are forums and stuff. My DF is a volunteer transport police, and he had to do all the fitness and stuff. I could never do the bleep test, but I haven't tried recently! Perhaps we should do it again to see how I've progressed!

Just a word on the KB :censored: Lee told him that he could come (and I'd still be coming) and be fine with it, or he can stay at home and not get his money back. Did I say that before? Anyway, his problem, not mine! Apart from the fact he seems to think that he can get me not to go by texting me about why it's a "boys" weekend. :?:

I had the BIGGEST breakfast this morning! - 2 eggs and 1 white omlette, a few billion mushrooms and 2 quorn sausages chopped up into it! I ate it all too! :T Only problem is, it took 10 minutes to cook and I left the house 15 minutes later than usual! :o Had to motor on down the motorway pedal to the metal!

Got kickboxing tonight, I will relieve some aggression on somebody (not :censored: - he doesn't train anymore. So don't ask me how he's coming on the "Martial Arts" weekend :?: ) Gym at lunch too! :D

Frus, why don't you text :censored: and point out that, as he no longer does Martial Arts training, he therefore doesn't actually belong on a Martial Arts weekend whereas, of course, you do!

On the other hand, I think I'd just go round there and talk to him about it - but I'm like that - I don't like unresolved issues - stops me sleeping.

Well, I'm back to my old trick of jumping on the scales each morning... and this morning it showed a loss of 4lbs since Saturday. This, IMHO, is extremely unlikely. I think the scales are :censored: - or possibly it is the huge amount of fruit and veg making me very... um... regular. I'll find at at the swimming pool today - I'll pop in the gym and jump on the scales - they are more accurate than the ones here.

DH is all wobbly after his LBWO last night :) :) :) :) He looked like Bambi when he came downstairs and thats only on the 35kg weights that my bench will hold.

Woo Hoo! We pick up the new car tomorrow. I wonder how long it will take for the dogs to trash this one. I think Fred set the record in the current one - under 15 minutes to eat through the three back seatbelts, from the guarded off doggy section behind the back seats. We've decided this time to not buy a dog guard - DH thinks they are both mature enough now to stay put in the back bit. Yeah.... right! So if you see a nearly black Landrover with a giant size black lab sitting on the driver's lap you will know its us.

DH started his new job yesterday - same boss though :( She is SUCH a miserable :censored: Thankfully he will be working in a different part of the building from her now so maybe she'll stop treating me like his unpaid secretary.
