Frus - can I come? I'd LOVE to have a gym close by. :( I was working myself up a training schedule and realised there are so many exercises I can't do because I haven't got access to the equipment. :(

I think it's that thing they play with a squashed ball :dizzy:

2frustrated 04-12-2006 07:17 AM

 you can use my gym if I can put a punchbag up in your garage ;)

Sarah Ann 04-12-2006 07:46 AM

No problemo - just so long as you don't mind the roof falling down on you. :lol3:

I'm a gym member now!

I signed up! It's £40 a month... :chin: It's ok... Or £400 a year. If I don't want to continue I can cancel it before 1st May, so I'll see how it goes for the next week or two. They have a nice free weight area and there were about 5 people in this lunchtime! LOVELY! I didn't see any fit instructors who can "spot" me... But I'm sure I'll find some, it's mandatory in every gym - right kyk?;)

I feel better after my brisk walk to the gym and back!! I was feeling a little sluggish and poo before - now I just feel tired! Right, I must sort out a proper weights routine so I can impress the guys tomorrow lunch - nothing that uses a squat bar/ bench press rack - just dumbbells for the time being, until I get a proper induction into the free weights area.

Well done frus. My new gym has no cute instructors, but the guys in the weights area spot for others, even girlies, and are really cute!!! I have the bruises from falling off the treadmill gazing at them, to prove it LOL

I wish we all lived close enough so we could use the same gym!

I'm so busy at the moment, I never have time to post! Dang workload!

We have a full speed??? I haven't seen any sign of it this season! :?:

I don't know who we'll get, it's not exactly a secure job is it, average time that a coach is in charge over the past 10 years or so about 11 months...

Anyway, back to the weight stuff, I had a fab run up the canal this morning, I really enjoy getting out and running in the open air now it's light and warm enough to do it before work. I feel far more energetic than when I'm just running on the treadmill. I did a bit over 5.5 miles in 52 minutes, which was a nice easyish pace for me. I've been eating fab food again, but work was manic (3 hour conference call all morning, plus loads of other stuff) so I didn't get up to Primark to do some clothes buying. I know what I want because I tried some stuff on quickly on Monday but didn't have time to queue, I just need to get up there and buy it. Including a very short denim skirt - I figure I've worked hard for my legs so my holiday is a perfect chance to show them off! Still, it's still a few weeks before I go so I'm sure I'll get up there eventually.

I'm missing you!!! Although I know what you mean about being busy...

We don't really have any cute instructors, although some of the newer ones are an improvement on the ones they replaced. A shared gym would be fab!

My gym experience is even educational now. I've put learning french cds onto my mp3 and now I'm learning french at the gym well when I'm not watching Jeremy Kyle anyway ;)

and day hello? You got a cold there girl? ;)

Think this week is going to be a put on week. GRRRR. I know I had that chocolate but I skipped dinner etc to allow for it! AND i've been extra good all week. But yeah, according to my scales i've put on... you can guarantee the scales at SW will show more of a gain, it's usually how it works.

Dead upset. I keep getting to the near 2st mark and it's dragged from me again!:(

Results tomorrow.:^:

Sarah Ann 04-13-2006 03:18 AM

Morning everyone. Its my free day today :carrot: so I'm trying to figure out why I started the day with an abs workout followed by some cottage cheese pancakes!

Hommersmummy - I'm sending some :dust: your way. I wouldn't have thought a bit of chocolate would have stopped you losing weight, especially if you subbed it for a meal. There's 3500 calories in a pound of body fat and I'm sure you didn't eat 3500 cals worth of chocolate. You'll do fine!

2frustrated 04-13-2006 03:27 AM

 You know why Sarah - cos you're stark raving BONKERS!

Free days are EVIL in my opinion, but you've worked so very hard for yours - enjoy it! Get some CHEESE! *wallace hand waggle*

I've consigned the scales to the back of the wardrobe again - they're up to 12stone! They're lying! Going to be ever so good today  and try and get to the gym at lunch if work doesn't get in the way! ;)

Oh the ballet was amazing last night - they're all so bendy and strong! I want to be bendy and strong! Ok and the thin would be nice too!

Sarah Ann 04-13-2006 04:00 AM

Blummin scales! Chuck 'em out the window!!!!! What are you doing different recently?

Ohh - gotta go - forgot my doctors appointment for the thyroid thingy. :( :( :( (Not looking forward to this AT ALL!)

2frustrated 04-13-2006 04:25 AM

 Good luck - tell us all about it! It might help you out, you never know ;)

I think it's from being sick and sedentary recently! I missed 1 workout! And I upped the weights a bit, so it may be that! Whatever, it'll sort out!
