Take it easy Sarah - try not to pull anything else!
I bought an electric whisk so I can make meringues and protein brownies! :D I went to Woolies and they have a sale on their DVDs, so I picked up a boxed set of I Robot and thingy, Tom Cruise, er... bugrit, can't remember - M something... not Mission Impossible.... M..... anyway! So I took it to the (Minority Report!) till and they couldn't find the DVDs  I was well P'd off! :tantrum: How can they have the box out on the shelves when they don't have the DVDs??? What a shambles! I reckon she wanted it for herself...  Anyway, never mind! I'm just thinking... I might have I robot already on pirate... I didn't say that :tape: Unless I borrowed in from someone... :chin: Anyway, no DVD for me, I bought Health & Fitness mag instead! I was going to buy a rebounder, but I didn't! I looked at the wedding rings in Argos, but they were really really thin. I was looking at a platinum one for £229 but the inside to outside was thin, like I'd bend it if I wore it...! :chin: I don't know what to do, DF won't be swayed that we "need" expensive rings... but I don't want a trashy one! I think I'm going to bake next. I've sorted out all the photos on my PC, put 3 loads of washing in, ironed his shirts, tidied, etc!! Now I get to make a mess! |
Oh what a shame, Minority Report is a good film. A little strange in places, but good.
Why don't you take him shopping for the rings - then you can point out the problem. After all, this is a piece of jewellery that you are each going to wear for the rest of your lives, so you've got to get it right and if you are going to carry on lifting weights then you will need something that will hold up under the pressure! We've got matching red (or is it rose) gold rings, chunky plain ones - they go well with our engagement rings and my other jewellery is all in the same colour gold. Have fun with the baking. |
Hi guys,
Thank you for the welcome:D I am looking forward to getting to know you all! Better be off and do something exercise like as I have had a very lazy day up to now :^: Hope you are all well. |
Oh yeah... exercise! I knew I was going to do something today!
I blame too much housework! Oh just FYI the BfL protein brownies are RUBBISH! Well they're ok, just a little odd, and not really worth the effort of whisking all those egg whites! They're kinda crispy on the top and just odd in the middle! They taste a bit splenda-y too and I only used half the amount! I just had haddock and "slimming world chips" as my mother calls them  - baked potato wedges but I used olive oil instead of Fry Lite! I'm very low on fat today - must eat more lard! Maybe I should have an egg on toast for my next meal :T It looks like it's raining in the metropolis from my window - and everywhere else except here. Feels nice to be inside! I think I'll celebrate by doing a few weights - bi's, chest and possible tri's depending on the moves, or maybe upper back - I need to get that ripped! |
DH got better as the day went on, he's been watching football. I have made a big pot of veggie soup for the week. I am on a late tomorrow so I get to swim in the morning. I'm going to the gym in the evening to run through my program. The instructor is there so he can help me out should I get stuck.
Sarah Ann is right, you need good quality rings. A dress you wear for a day, the rings are for life. Cheap rings are a false economy, you end up having them polished endlessly, and end up replacing them, or worse, they lose their shape, and fall off and get lost. Mr frus is outnumbered, he should know better than to mess with Superwoman! I'm trying the new Nike rockstar workout on Friday!!! I'm a bit nervous about it, as I am about as coordinated as a very fat earthworm, but we'll try anything once!!! http://www.nike.com/nikewomen/sitesh...ents;frontpage I'm gonna keep busy over Easter, dh and I only have the saturday together :( Is the new Health and Fitness out??? I quite like that one, but I love Ultrafit! I must sub to that one! |
I went SHOPPING today! I bought a jacket yesterday, then today I bought some red wedge sandals (really practical for the snow), a red skirt and a black dress, the skirt and the dress were both size 12 and the shoes were from Evans. I tried not to be offended when the woman in evans asked whether I had one of their account cards, as though I shop there often. mind you, I suppose I do, but only for shoes! I love the dress, it makes me look very skinny (and flat chested), and it will be fab for Madrid next month. I'm having a bit of a holiday related clothes panic at the moment, I've realised that this time next month I'll be in Spain and the majority of my summer clothes are size 16 or bigger, and I'm running out of shopping weekends before I go.
I'm wearing the red shoes at the moment, they're fab. I've given my mother a healthy looking recipe I wanted to try for her to cook tomorrow night, and I've just made her a houmous and chargrilled veg sandwich, hopefully I can persuade her how yummy my food is so she's more willing to cook it for me in future ;) And remind her that I am allowed to try and like new vegetables, I made a point of eating courgettes and aubergines at lunch to prove a point! |
Bring on the veggies!!! I love cooking when I go home, my parents always make me cook! Which is very handy!
I accidentally bought shoes this week. I got a pair of black wedge heels for work, which are really comfy, and some purple suede flats, that are also super comfy. They both have good walking soles on them, which is handy, as I go walking at lunch times and have been slowing my working partners down in my heels!!! But, I went to Clarks originally to talk myself out of a pair of gorgeous "Senna" sandals with beribboned ties, and the loops are covered in shiny diamantes and sequins. On Friday I left with the comfy shoes and managed to talk my inner girlie slim chick out of the sandals. Only on Saturday morning the inner girlie "made me" go and buy them! Now i have to get something to wear with them!!! I'm panicking about clothes too for summer. I'll have to go and do a big swoop in July/August!! |
Helen - get down to Primark for all your summer essentials on the cheap! ;)
Oh "accidentally" buying shoes... That's what it is... Or maybe shoe amnesia I think I have that one! Although DF did buy me some sandals this weekend! Hurrah! Oh that Nike rockstar thing looks good - did you buy a corset top ;) They're in the sale in JD sports! I almost bought one but it was full of chavs, so I didn't want to embarass myself by asking if they had anything that was made of wicking material (which they DIDN'T! Apart from the corset top of course!), can you imagine the blank stares! I've just treated myself to some Green & Black's orangey hot chocolate, you know the Maya gold stuff! :T yummy! :D There might be room for a creme egg or a kitkat if I'm feeling nibbly later on! Only if mind you! I will try and be a good frussy! I've made chicken stir fry for dinner tomorrow and I've done some weights today - I feel all virtuous again  |
Primark is the next stop, but I fell in love with the skirt and dress and had to have them. And the red shoes of course. I love it when I find shoes that look fab and fit properly!!!
My nutrition class is going well and my mother is proving to be a surprisingly willing pupil. I've been hinting at my conversion to veggie food through the afternoon, then she was looking through the Amsterdam guide book (we're going there over Easter) and asked whether I wanted to try the vegetarian restaurant it suggested. Success!!! I haven't actually gone back to meat yet (today was the day I told myself I might), although she did say she might cook something meaty on Thursday. We'll see about that... I like the sound of shiny sequined girlie sandals!!! |
YP converting the world!!! If your mum starts running marathons though, your madness will have spread too far
The corset tops go up to a size 18!!! But the world is not ready for my tummy yet! There's a lady at the gym who wears one, and she makes the model look bad!!! She has such an amazing figure, and a good array of tattoos on her back!!! I am one of the only 30 something ladies who doesn't have a tat!!! I'm swimming this morning. I missed yesterdays swim. I haven't missed a Sunday swim since the Leeds Abbey Dash when I went to cheer YP!! |
Kykaree, I cannot find those sandals for love nor money on the Clark's webby. You'll have to take some pictures, they sound fabby! :D
Well I woke up with those 2lbs that I lost the other week, back on! I feel very dehydrated though, but I don't know why since I drank TONS yesterday! Ah well, back on the wagon. I'm trying to be good - honest! I'm really going to have to be careful next weekend. We're going to Cornwall to see DF's parents. At least I can go swimming and/or running on the beach - I have a bikini  I just hope the weather's kind, although you burn more calories in the cold, but I'm not sure the world's ready for my corned-beef legs! |
They are on the webby, they're in black though rather than the peachy colour. I'll get Col to do a piccy!
I've given up on scales, forget calorie cycling, I'm pound cycling  I'm at work and about to start. I can't be bothered today :( |
pound cycling... that's what I'm doing!

Morning everyone
What a different day from yesterday - brilliant sunshine here. I must go and have a look at Primark (I think there's one in Doncaster) - I'm getting desperate for clothes - especially underwear - my Bridget Jones knickers come up to just under my boobs! (Not a pretty sight) Frus - you lucky thing - I love visiting Cornwall - although I've always put on loads of weight, I love those cream teas... with all that clotted cream.... Can't you tell that I'm trying to reduce my calories a bit? Every time I try cutting back, even though its just a couple of hundred calories, I can't stop thinking about food.:?: I realised my belt was loose again this morning and punched another hole in it. I bought it last September when I was at my max and looking at the indentations on it I have lost 8 inches from my waist since then! Cor! YP1 - I expect your Mum is (possibly secretly) delighted by the way you've changed and wants to do the same - but sometimes it is really difficult to change the habits of a lifetime without a little guidance. Ohh! Kyk - purple suede shoes! Where did you get them from - I LOVE purple and I love suede! Yup - I can understand 'accidentally' buying shoes. Gotta go - can't sit down for long - I've got a problem with the muscles in my :censored: after an HIIT on the exercise bike (with THREE 10s!) this morning followed a quick brekkie then a 2 hour walk with the doggies. Owwwwwwww! My legs feel like they belong to someone else. |
La la lalalalalala don't mention clotted cream  Or pasties or anything like that at all. Nope not listening. One of my goals for the week is written down as "Stay AWAY from clotted cream and pasties"
Hooray for 10s! :bravo: Oooh I've found a nice wedding ring for me, I was e-mailing DF about them saying I thought the Argossy ones were cheap looking, he said, "Just get a nice one for yourself and I'll get a cheap one that matches." Awwww bless his little heart! Isn't that the greatest thing you can think of? Spend all the money on yourself, don't worry about me! And I will! I've found a "groom's" heavyweight platinum ring in Ernest Jones for £500 :D I'm going to have a look at it at the weekend possibly. Either with or without DF - I might sound him out about the price, or perhaps not! :chin: |
