veggie 01-31-2006 07:15 PM

cat90 01-31-2006 07:33 PM

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

Well, I've wasted the last month also, but as the past few days have been the start of the the Chinese New Year, I feel like I've been given a second chance!!:) ... Another New Year means another new start!!

Mazarin 02-01-2006 03:22 AM

I am aiming to start the New Year again today!

2frustrated 02-01-2006 03:39 AM

 Howdy! I think I'm still at my start of year weight but I have been trying! :tantrum:

Ended up teaching kickboxing class last night, the pink gloves didn't come out to play! Hopefully they'll get some use tomorrow.

Off for a 5K run at lunch. Better do it today! :rollpin:

I think we might be going to see Munich tonight, but I'm not sure if I can be bothered! I'm sure I'll enjoy the trip out!

Sarah Ann 02-01-2006 06:37 AM

It seems incredible its been over a month since Christmas. We've still got loads of Christmas booze, chocolates and munchies (just goes to show how much of that sort of stuff I would have normally eaten).

My sympathy to everyone looking for jobs  - much as I hate being self employed at least it means I don't have to leave the house to go to work and I don't have to answer to anyone else. (Except the bank manager and my husband). The downside of working from home is struggling to motivate myself to actually get on and do some work. :dizzy:

I frightened myself this morning. I took a wrong turn and got completely lost on the Moors - its the first time thats happened to me in 5 years. I had planned on doing a long walk to make up for tomorrow when I'll only get an hour but I hadn't planned on doing over 10 miles! Poor dogs - we walked in through the front door and they went straight to their beds, lay down and almost immediately started snoring.

2frustrated 02-01-2006 06:43 AM

 Poor woofies! At least they will be out of your way for the rest of the day!

I'm on meal #2 and struggling! Today is an 1800kcal day in my Zig-Zag calorie week... It's going to be tough eating all those calories, especially when I've got about 7 portions of fruit to munch through and I'm still feeling full from breakfast! I managed to choke down my cottage cheese pita, but somehow I think I might skip the cherries! I can save them for when we're at the cinema

:censored: about with website publishing on Dreamweaver... it is doing my NUT in! I'm sure once I get the hang of it it will be a breeze, but I'd rather just write the thing in HTML! At least I am learning....

Sarah Ann 02-01-2006 06:49 AM

2frustrated - what's a zigzag calorie week?? Sounds interesting!

2frustrated 02-01-2006 07:03 AM

It's where you work out your average kcals a day to lose, then go a few hundred lower and a few hundred higher every day...

eg, Supposedly I need 1850kcals to lose fat... So I eat 1650 Mon, 1650 Tues, 1800 Wed, 2000 Thurs, 1650 Fri, 2000 Sat, 2000 Sun.

It's supposed to keep the body guessing! And the metabolism revved up :blah: I have the link for a calculator....
http://strengthnspeed.tripod.com/Nut.../ZigZagCal.htm if you wanna have a go!

Sarah Ann 02-01-2006 07:18 AM

Thanks for that - it sounds like a great idea, especially as I'd like a few extra cals at the weekends but I'm happy to lose a few during the week.

I'm off to have a look!

kykaree 02-01-2006 07:27 AM

erk Sarah Ann, I hate your new avatar, I am terrified of emus!!! (or is it an ostrich) it's a phobia I have, so I can't talk to you anymore!!!!!!

Sarah Ann 02-01-2006 07:51 AM

Ahhhh - I think he's cute. I'm not sure I'd like to meet one though. Its an emu.

kykaree 02-01-2006 07:58 AM

When I see emus, I burst into tears. When I first met dh in real life, we went to Sydney zoo, and there's an Australian animal enclosure where they can just walk around and you can go right up to them. Well Col sees this emu and wants his picture taken with it. My palms are sweating, my knees are weak, I take the camera thinking " be brave, you don't want your new boyfriend thinking your a loony) I go to take the photo, and the thing looks straight at me and starts stalking, so of course, big brave me bursts into tears, and hides behind Col, with everyone laughing at me.

They're terrorists those emus!

2frustrated 02-01-2006 08:50 AM

 Awwwwww cute emu! But they are a bit psycho!

I just ran 36 minutes... 4.6K according to my Navman Sport|Tool :D

Oh that reminds me, I must get some money for it from the 'rents, they offered to buy it for my b'day!

Oh and I looked in the mirror (I am obsessed with looking for muscles...) and I did my patented skwigg pose and I *almost* have skwigg arms! :dancer: I think it was the different light, but hey I LIKE them! :D

peacock 2 02-01-2006 10:15 AM

Well it had to happen - I put on 3lb this week! Not surprising really - I ate a load of crap. Weird since when I am on usually I don't like to eat much but I hogged for England this time aroundl Feeling pi**ed off at work did not help. Comfort eating wasn't in it - I had to get my aggression out on choccie bars!

Sarah Ann 02-01-2006 10:21 AM

Cute but psycho sounds like my husband.

Well done on that run. I've just looked at the Skwigg link - is that you / a friend of yours?

I'm going to give that zig-zag idea a try out. It makes sense really - in my thin days (in my mid 20s to early 30s) I never ate the same amount of calories every day. I was so busy trying to keep to school and work deadlines that I didn't have time to cook nice meals and most days I'd be too busy to eat more than a yoghurt and fruit for brekkie, fruit for lunch and something easy like hummus and a pitta with salad for dinner. Even if I did cook a proper dinner it was always something very easy like grilled salmon/trout or a ready cooked bit of chicken with stir fry or plain veg.

I've just realised I have only gone through my fat times when I'm in a live in relationship! :?: :dizzy:

2frustrated 02-01-2006 10:25 AM

 I wish that was me!

No it's just a site someone pointed out to me a few weeks ago. She's into Body For Life and just a little bit crackers... I like her, she's got a good philosophy!

veggie 02-01-2006 10:44 AM

skwigg

I like her scooby and toy story plates. ;)

2frustrated 02-01-2006 10:46 AM

Skwigg rules!

Sarah Ann 02-01-2006 11:08 AM

OMG :dizzy: I didn't see that page with all her meals on. (Love the plates) I don't think I'm dedicated enough to the idea of being slim again to make all those different meals. I'm organized just enough to pre-plan breakfast, lunch and dinner plus some fruit as snacks each evening for the next day but planning and preparing 5-7 proper meals is bordering on obsessive. :spin:

I wonder what her husband eats. He reminds me of the first Mr Sarah. :barf: (Thats for the ex Mr Sarah and not the current Mr Skwigg)

2frustrated 02-01-2006 11:31 AM

Obsessed is what the weak and lazy call the dedicated ;)

It's easy once you have staples and know which meals to eat! I make an omlette or eggs or pancakes every morning and usually have to blend a protein shake for later in the day! Oh and I usually don't plan my meals for the next day - just pick up some chicken, rice, cottage cheese, eggs and a ton of fruit out of the fridge and see what happens!

But yes she is a bit of a fruit cake! And she used to have an ED so I guess it's a bit more ingrained...

veggie 02-01-2006 11:35 AM

Are you calling Sarah weak and lazy?  ;)

2frustrated 02-01-2006 11:36 AM

Did I SAY that? :lol3:

Never mind Peacock least you know why it happened.

I had to buy a new coat today, my sister has decided she wants the one I'm wearing back :(

However, the pain of shelling out money for a coat was partially cancelled out by the pleasure of it being a size 12 :D It's a little tight if I've got a jumper underneath, but it will do, and they didn't have any 14s anyway. I'm sure it will loosen up ;)

veggie 02-01-2006 02:20 PM

Size 12 showoff! :cp: :hat: :flame:

impossible princess 02-01-2006 06:26 PM

well done chuck.

Why am I watching a program on the largest penis instead of doing revision??

impossible princess 02-01-2006 06:50 PM

eww eww wished I'd changed the channel straight after desperate housewives did not want to see any of that. Found the remote control and am watching friends instead. Hooray!!

veggie 02-01-2006 07:04 PM

I was watching desperate housewives on E4 and during the ads I accidentally turned over to 4. Eww I hope the 'penis week' on 4 has finished now. :o :censored:

impossible princess 02-01-2006 07:29 PM

Yeah me too theres some things you just don't want to see.

almost as bad was the extreme breast feeding that was on earlier.

veggie 02-01-2006 07:31 PM

I saw one of the women in the extreme breast feeding programme on Richard and Judy that was bad enough.

Homersmummy 02-01-2006 07:39 PM

Hello all. :D Just thought i'd make myself known. ;)
I'm a friend of Mazarins, she directed me to this forum... cause she luffs me and she knows I need a whole lot of support right now. ;)
My first weigh in tomorrow, eek no... today. *shudder*

I have waffled on in the buddy up part of the forum, so if you wanna know my story, a cure for insomnia maybe? ;) Or see some piccies of this 'ere ugly mutt, go looksee.

Please be gentle with me, i'm feeling tender!
*prays she's lost when she gets on scales tomorrow*

Mands xx

impossible princess 02-01-2006 07:40 PM

Was it the one who was breast feeding an 8yr old. I feel sorry for the poor kid you are going to get picked on at school for that big time.
