I think you should go, spot him and run away that would shut him up. :D
|
Start as you mean to go on  :coach: GO AND SEE FD3!!! :D and he did say you should walk behind so do that and let him get there first and cough up for you :carrot:  you would'nt catch me paying for the *ugger!!
Hey Veggie..you gonna delete this? |
Kykaree, I batch baked those chocolate cake substitute pancakes and ordinary pancakes and then froze them. I also tried to make meringues but my :censored: blender kept overheating! :tantrum: So I have sugary egg whites with some wierd foam on the top
I baked my chicken for the week with a splash of honey and some chopped ginger. Then I oven roasted some butternut squash, courgette and mushrooms for some vegetable healthiness. Manda deffo go and see the film you want! Well I'm feeling a bit blue at the moment, for no apparent reason. I'm going to get back running at lunch after a week off. I think that might help. However my legs are screaming after deadlifting 100lbs :D after that I did multiple roundhouse kicks (15 in a row without putting my foot down) and wall sits (OUCH!) and holding up front kicks :faint: and just generally abusing my legs! I'm sure it'll be ok! Then I've got to teach small annoying children how to do basic stupid things. :tantrum: Ah it's ok, I enjoy it when I get there, but I've been finding the Saturday classes I do a bit disconcerting since they teach differently to me and I haven't quite caught up with their style. :o Oh and the :censored: scales  :tantrum:  It's water retention I hope. *sigh* |
I was a greedy girl all last week due to the weird hormone thing. Went up to ten stone ten pounds but fortunately today I am back to ten stone seven. I have been pissing about at this weight since Christmas I must get a grip and crack on.
Hommersmummy I am not quite sure what to make of your friend, it is easy to take things a particular kind of way when your not communicating face to face. When you don't feel good about yourself its situations like this that can set you back even further. You are doing fantastically well I would hate to see you upset, you seem a bit fragile at the moment. Maybe another chat with him to suss him out a little more then see how you feel tomorrow, but please don't stress yourself out your lovely. |
:tantrum: I just went out for a run. I feel worse than I did before! My MP3 batteries died, my GPS thingy couldn't find its satellite, some :censored: shouted at me from a car, I got LOST and ended up going further than I planned and got all tired out and walked lots. :tantrum:  It was also so flippin windy that I'm freezing now. AAAAAAAAARGH!

Sounds like we're all having a bad time. :grouphug:
Our plumber was supposed to put our new bathroom in today but we got a phone call yesterday evening putting back the start until Wednesday 'because he hasn't got the right parts' - WHY NOT, we've had this booked since Chrimbo. :( Then the dog that we are having for a sleepover arrived. She's a walking friend of our two but she's never stayed over before. She's stopping with us because her owners are burying one of their parents today (its okay - he died - its not some weird local ritual). The owners say this dog is a bit funny with other dogs but trusts George and Fred and I don't think she'll be trusting them very much after this visit - Fred keeps trying to play wheelbarrows with her even though they are both neutered! Poor Dusty is so shaken up about being abandoned by her 'Mum and Dad' and the nice wheelbarrow game that she 'had a little accident' and has refused to eat the nice little homemade casserole thingy they had brought along for her tea (heating instructions enclosed). She was even MORE shocked when we put her to bed in with our boys - it wasn't until her owners rang her to say night night (at 11.30!) that we found out she always sleeps on their bed BETWEEN them. Not in this house she doesn't - our boys aren't even allowed upstairs! When she finally stopped howling Kevin started having nightmares about ..... toast! TOAST - how can you have a nightmare about toast??????? :dizzy: In anticipation of the plumber being here Kevin had taken the day off and had booked the car in to get fixed. So, to kill two birds with one stone, we decided to drop the car in at the garage and walk the dogs back home. When we got to the garage we found that Fred had eaten through two of the three leads we had with us - so I had to stay in the car with three hyperventilating, fighting, wheelbarrowing dogs while Kevin went and bought replacements (£16.99 each). The walk home which seems so quick by car turned out to be nearly 9 miles - and it was obvious after 100 yards that our little guest hasn't been trained to walk on a lead. She pulled so much I think she's dislocated my shoulder. :stress: Then, when we got home we found that our ancient dishwasher has finally died on us, it can't be repaired because they don't make parts for it any more so it looks as though I'm going to have to get a new one (approx cost £300) - but I bet it doesn't last nearly 30 years like the last one did! To make matters worse, we had just discovered our flooded kitchen when the garage rang to say it is going to cost £800 to fix the car!!!! £800!!!!!!!!!!! :fr: :fr: Its at times like this I used to turn to cake / cheese / chocolate / wine for comfort... :censored: |
Gah! Your day sounds worse than mine. You win!
Poor you! NO CHOCOLATE it's  |
YAY!!
My friend Mary has joined the forum. :) Hugs for Marypoos! :D She's at work at mo, but she'll be online later to say hello I expect! |
Oy Sarah. Everything happens at once eh? :(
I have decided I am going to see FD3, if he doesn't wanna go see it, i'll go alone like I was originally planning. I am not paying out about £14 to see a film I do not want to see! My car is in for it's MOT tomorrow. I'm brassic, hopefully it won't need much doing! |
 Hello all you newbies! Mands too right you should go to see what you want! ESPECIALLY if you're paying. Be strong :D
|
I just got off the exercise bike - using that to get rid of all my irritations today. I'm :censored: now!
Manda - You could use paying for fixing your car as an excuse for not buying his ticket. I still think its odd that he would even consider letting you buy his ticket on the first time of meeting up. I realise its not a 'date' but even so I would think the polite thing to do would be each to pay for his/her own. Maybe I'm old fashioned!!! :( Perhaps you could meet up for a quick drink or cup of coffee rather than a situation where you have to shell out lots of dosh and risk getting get stuck with someone you possibly won't like for a couple of hours. OMG - I can't wait for this dog to go home - :rollpin: her and Fred just keep tearing round and round knocking everything flying. We tried putting them out in the garden but they went so mad that we haven't got any grass left now - and she's not used to having her feet wiped when she comes in so my big off white rugs have turned a very fetching shade of grubby grey-brown AND they're scuffing the varnish off the floorboards. I've just put together Anthony Worrall Thompson's recipe for Spicy Chicken and it smells very peculiar - I really hope it tastes better than it smells. :barf: |
Oh Sarah, what a day!!! When does dappy dog go home???
I had a gerat time at the gym this morning. I stayed for 3 hours :dizzy: I did half an hour of interval walking/running and half an hour on the cross trainer, and did 10 minutes on the bike. Had a swim, a spa, a turn in the steam room, and time just got away from me!!! Then this afternoon we had a huge walk!!! It was really good, but we ended up somewhere weird and went to a pub to catch our breath, and it was a total dive! |
I've had the nicest garlic bread ever today :T I arrived at my sisters birthday lunch first :T so I was well into the cava and nibbles by the time anyone else turned up :D Oh and our dogs were in the local paper today (they were on a protest march :p ) soooooo cute my sister bought 4 copies.
|
I'm back!!! (bet you didn't notice I'd gone, but I've been having broadband issues since yesterday afternoon. First it was really slow, then it got slower, then it came to a grinding halt and wouldn't connect. Turns out that my ISP "upgraded" some of their systems which meant that people with my billing date didn't get an invoice through but instead got tagged as having an unpaid bill and cut off! Fantastic :( )
I got stressed at work too, a bloke was pestering me to do a pitch for some work for one of his clients. I said I needed to sort out a meeting room at our Sheffield office because I normally work out of Leeds but he wanted to meet in Sheffield, then he'd phone every half hour or so getting really stroppy because I hadn't confirmed yet. Despite the fact I explained that we were OK for the meeting, I just wanted to get the details to confirm. But still, I had the last laugh the time he phoned and had a right go at me and I asked him to check his email for the message I'd sent shortly before he went off on one. Something tells me I don't actually want him as a client! Considering going into the gym this evening, they're launching a new beauty treatment range and I've heard there might be free samples/taster treatments... But that would involve dragging myself away from my newly restored broadband and all the stuff I've missed out on for the past 24 hours! |

Oh Sarah Ann  i'm sorry but your post reads like a monty python script  (apart from the dishwasher and car :( that sucks  )
Mands..good for you!! Tell him you're brassic  give him a sob story about your car..LET HIM PAY! he-he  to be honest I don't think I know any men that would let me pay! they'd at least go dutch. Veggie..have you no pic for us of the protesting dogs? :) Found some Cadburys digestives in the store yesterday  so bought two packs :rollpin: why did I have to see them? :tantrum:  |
Well of course I have embarrassing pics of the dogs 'protesting' :p
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../demo20065.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../demo20027.jpg The poor things dressed in baby t shirts with slogans. |
They look like quite compliant little protesters. What were they protesting about??
|
Awwww!!!
|
Yay for Pooch Power :D. What were they getting hot under their dog collars about?
Janey  |
Ahhhh they are so cute
|
Cat??? It says you've posted but I click on the thread and you're not here :dizzy:
|
LOL it looks :mag: like there is a few of us online ;) this 'post quick reply' thing is doing my head in  I keep using it out of habit then having to go the long route around to find the last post again :tantrum: it needs fixing
|
NHS cuts that's what all the best dogs protest about. :p
|
Woof Woof!
Oh it's morning! Gah! :tired: I wanna go sleepies! Never mind, I've somehow managed to get myself to work ok!! Teaching my kickboxing class last night with really stupidly stiff legs, I could hardly do the stretches!! Had one annoying small child who was just yawning and not paying attention, so I told him to go and sit at the back. He's only about 4, but he's probably too young to really concentrate on it for an hour. Anyways, it's a challenge, but most of the tim ei let him do his own thing apart from when he runs in front of people kicking :yikes: Had nice food yesterday, melons and apples and lovely chicken and ginger and butternut squash :T More kickboxing tonight - with stiff legs still! :tantrum: Not much else going on, that's all I do, sleep, eat, kickbox and occasionally work! |
Veggie - they look sooooo cute! I didn't know you've got a dog. I remember that your sister used to have one. Garlic bread.... mmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!! :T
Frus - 4 seems awfully young to send a child to kickboxing classes - isn't there a class more suitable for his age? Cat - it was like a comedy script! My dogs are used to the skidiness of polished floorboards and never run indoors because its impossible to stop - but there were several times yesterday when I looked up to see our little visitor go hurtling across the room like she was on ice - she actually hit the radiator in the hall so hard she knocked it off its supporting brackets! Luckily it was easily fixable and didn't cost any MORE money! She finally went home at 6pm. We were told they would collect her at 8! (Don't you just hate it when someone gives a time and then turns up two hours early - its just so rude.) Worse.... I was just dishing up our dinner and he brought his niece and nephew with him - peculiar children - they both look like their Mum has done her absolute best to make them look like Harry Potter and Hermione! What awful kids though - they raced out in the kitchen and started poking at our food and made rude comments and vomiting noises! Then, while he was rabbiting on about how wonderful his dog is, the kids started pretending they were drunk - staggering around, throwing themselves on the floor and on top of George and crashing in to things. By way of apology he commented that they had just been to McDonalds and it wasn't until they had both had a large cola that they told him they aren't allowed it because it makes them hyperactive - so he brought them round to our house! :censored:  Today is SO peaceful! :) |
 What rude people! I hope they brought you at least a "say thank you with Cadbury's Roses" box! Doesn't sound like it though :(
You need to get revenge! Can you let Fred and George have a "holiday" with them and get them to eat horrid things that will make them throw up all over their house?? Not nice for your doglins, but at least you have revenge  Oh and talking of doggies throwing up... A nice disgusting story (will put you off your lunch!). My godfather had a Border Collie, she was LOVELY and they went out for a walk one day and she came across a dried cow pat... Well being a dog, she ate it! Then after they'd been in the Range Rover for about 10 minutes she threw it up ALL OVER the car! Nice ;) So next time anyone wants to eat a chocolate bar... think about Misty the dog and her cow pat! |
Originally Posted by 2frustrated: The thank you was 3 very nice bottles of wine - thoughtfully one of each colour - which was why I put on a happy face and made light of my lack of grass and varnish on my floorboards. We have been thinking about revenge. They have offered to have Fred and George should the need arise. George is a very laid back dog, give him a soft rug in front of a fire or in a patch of sunshine and he'll just sleep and :censored: all day - but Fred.... ah.... now he is just as bad as their dog (except more skilled on polished floors). So we were thinking about booking a weekend at a cottage that only accepts one well behaved dog and taking George with us and leaving Fred with them.  What is it with dogs and cowpats - mine do that! |
Well at least you got wine :D
Check out http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4690784.stm it's all got a little bit hectic - I have been fending off reporters all morning! ARGH! Here comes another one.... |
Oh - what a wonderful thing to have worked on. Well done you!!!! It must give you a HUGE sense of satisfaction (and rightly so) to produce something like that for a disabled child - and how lovely of you to make it special for her in pretty pink!
|
He he - it's not finished yet!!!! It's at the top of the list (after a couple of "urgent" things!!! ) Oh yes, it's got to be pink :D
|
You work for such a fascinating place. In Tassie I worked for St Giles, a society for kids and adults with disabilities. It had a workshop which made great things, but they were so busy with the "bread and butter" stuff for daily living, that they didn't have time or resources to make stuff for recreation.
I had a great swim this morning, the benefit of this new gym is it is 20 minutes on the way to work, and open early, so on a 10 to 6 shift I have ample time to have a swim (or a workout). I even had time for a spa and a sauna. It was lovely, a fab way to start the day. My eating has been good so far, porridge, a banana, a new ryvita muesli bar thing - 69 calories, no added sucrose and very tasty, and tuna and salad for lunch. I managed to avoid dessert, always a pitfall in our rather fabulous cafeteria. |
Oh she is so annoying ;) :D  with her normal superwomanness and her cleverness and ace jobness   and the pinkness! I wanna take part in an endurance race for battery powered cars :tantrum:
Sarah - they are technically my sisters dogs ;) but are here half the blooming time (some would say most of the time) :D |
You love em really. I want a dog :( and to work from home :( It seems utterly pointless to come into work, I'm not sat with anyone, I'm in a strange office with people who don't speak to me, and I'm totally left out of all the office goings on. My carpet enforced exclusion order continues!!!! At least they are looking after me, which is good.
It must be home time soon :dizzy: |
am really annoyed have really bad flu have only managed to get out of bed today to go to the corner shop and have missed my lecture time and don't think I'll be up to going tomoz either and I really need to I ahte missing things.
I feel dreadful have eaten jaffa cakes (because I was so pissed off) and am debating getting takeout tonight so annoyed!!! I hate being sick |
Unhealthy food won't help your flu!!!! It needs lots of vitamins and minerals to get better, which you won't get in take out food!!!
If I was closer I'd make you some soup and bring you a butty!!! That's my mother routine over, I had bad asthma for almost four weeks, and that annoyed me so much, I couldn't exercise properly and I just wanted to eat bad food all the time. |
Aaahhh that little girl looks thrilled to bits  well done Frus ;)
I feel like :censored: too Princess :rollpin: been up all night with excrutiating kidney and stomach pains  was absolutely freezing too :( even though the bedroom was at 70+ degrees :dunno: I've still got the 'shivers' and a splitting headache to boot :headache: glad i'm not working until thursday now ;) |
well I had jaffas because they aren't as naughty as regular biscuits and I don't eat so many. If I get takeout it'll be tofu and veggies so its not completely evil praise be that I live in a really multicultural area that isn't full of mcdonalds. Pizza hut is up the road too though
think i'll have to go to doctors tomoz my bday is this week too :( |
Ooooh i'm thrilled :carrot: the 'post quick reply' button is fixed :D
|
That frame looks fab Frus, lovely and pink!
My eating has been far better today than yesterday. I've had a minimal amount of chocolate, and been a lot more sensible. I found a fab organic food shop in town which I raided at lunchtime, and so far today I've eaten miso soup, tofu, quinoa and god knows what else. I had a good run this morning, the worst one I've got left before Sunday. Only 4 miles on hills, which is nothing compared to what I've been doing, and the rest of the week is even easier! |
