Phew! I've just spent an hour and a half clearing out my wardrobe! Thrown out about half my stuff and there's still too much to fit! Thrown out some shoes too... It's so easy without MOTH around (he's away the weekend) cos I can be ruthless! Ha ahahahahahahahah!

Ok I'm going to bake my CELEBRATORY CAKE! Then I'm going to eat it in the bath! Mmmmmm crumby bath....

Well, let's say that wasn't on plan. Drinking from 2pm til 9pm, complete with burger. Ah well, back in the saddle tomorrow.

I felt horrible today, and didn't go to the gym, had a sleep this afternoon and then tonight dragged dh on a huge walk (we were just going for a stroll to the park) up hill and down dale. I am now fitter than him, and he was left in my wake!!!!

I had to work this morning, and it was horrendous. I am having a terrible TOM this month.

I love vodka

On Tuesday I had a couple of pints of beer and felt shocking for most of the week. Last night I had rather more than a couple of bottles of Smirnoff Ice (heading quickly towards double figures...) and this morning I feel absolutely fine.

Vodka rocks.

Anyway, that means there's no excuse for not getting myself to the gym and trying to undo the damage...

Hello again... I had a reasonable weekend, and didn't scoff all that was in sight, and didn't drink. Much.

I managed to ONLY go out to a wine tasting on Friday... and I only had a few sips.....of every single wine they had available (there were around 75 vineyards represented *blush*)

Was very virtuous and went to the gym on Saturday AND Sunday, although Sunday was really only cause they have a good breakkie on... so not sure it counts?

Kykaree? You had to work on a WEEKEND?

Kylie, hope you're feeling better! Kylee wine tasting does sound reasonable! (I'm jealous!)

My weekend was crazy... slept and shopped to exhaustion Saturday. We left for london around 4:45 am Sunday... walked round... saw the War of the Worlds premiere setup, then almost died during the Walk for Life... it was soooo hot and it turned out to be 8 miles (instead of the 6 we trained for). I had a few breakdowns DH saved me! But today scale says down 5lbs... probably water - I'll take it!!! Got in at 2:30 am... Now... off to work on heavily blistered feet... Oh joy!

It's been sunny here all day. While I've been stuck in the office

Scale was up again this morning, but the tape measure seemed to be down so I'll believe that and put it down to all that muscle that's miraculously appeared in my arms. Or just hope it's water after Saturday's vodka binge.

Anyway, I'm not too down. I've just eaten another (!) salad (I'm on a roll now, now I've discovered that it doesn't make me violently ill or indeed have any side effects, and that you can make it taste of anything with the right dressing). And I bought some new gym shorts at lunchtime. I bought the size 18, but I was considering a different colour, and they only had a 16. I tried it, just to see, and they went on! They didn't hang quite right, but they were on, and not unbearably tight. Still, for exercise I quite like the extra room so I got the bigger ones. But I'm heading towards a 16! I've not been there for at least 10 years.

It's so cold here (yes, I know I shouldn't whinge, cause winter is kind of a joke in Brisbane - but I'm ACCLIMATISED now... and 18 degrees means thermal underwear).

Anyway, back to being cold. I needed mashed potato last night.

Not wanted.

NEEDED.

I was powerless to resist, except for the fact that I had to get off the couch (which has a butt sized dent on it), peel the spuds, cook them and mash them. ****, I'm exhausted just typing it.

So, no mashed spuds.

However, the chocolates were readily available and required no cooking *blush*

I DID eat a banana though.

It's max 27°C min 17°C here today according to the BBC site far too hot for me. I'm used to being cold the heating in my bedroom broke about a year ago and never bothered getting it fixed! I have extra body heat that's bad enough.

The victory of the salad last week looks like turning into a major turning point. I now walk round the supermarket thinking to myself that if I can eat lettuce I can eat anything (it was that much of a mental block for me). And I find myself picking stuff up that I'd never have dreamed of eating before, because I always stuck to the tried and tested.

Since the salad on Thursday evening I've eaten four or five new veggies, which is probably the total number of new veggies I'd tried in the previous year. I didn't necessarily love the taste of all of them, but equally I didn't hate any of them and none of them made me violently ill. With the right preparation there are at least a couple of those that could be making more regular appearances in my diet.
