walked 3.4 miles yesterday.
Nothing so far today, far too wet to walk at lunchtime had left my brolly at home. :( |
Just 20 mins on the treadmill for me today had to run some errands.
|
Swam for 30 minutes and walked 1.5 miles today
|
Walked 3.9 miles yesterday morning and rod emy bike for approx 6 miles yesterday afternoon.
Really enjoyed being outside the weather was nice and hot and sunny. Am not saddle sore at all this week !!! |
Good Job Carol :D you're determined to lose those 5lbs are'nt you? i treadmilled 3mls yesterday and nothing for the 2 days before that..WILL TRY HARDER! :s:
|
Have walked 4.5 miles since Tuesday morning, has taken me about 3 shots to get that far. Have also swam for 30 minutes and ran up and down stairs so many times it is unbeliveable.
Surely this is doing me some good :) |
Walked another 3 miles last night - just wandered about as planned and got lost in a maze of a housing estate, not far from where I live, all the paths look the same. If I hadn't got lost would probably have only walked a couple of miles.
Am going to go out again today, also want to get some aerobics done, just half an hour will have me feeling much better. I need to get my exercise plan on schecdule again. I have been trying to walk 10 miles over a week and managed it last week and am nearly there this week. But I need to get in a bit of stretching and toning too. Am planning on get up early 2 mornings next week, monday and thursday I thought and so some areobices. Possibly Lorraine Kelly tape on Monday and my salsa one on Friday. If I do that for a couple of weeks and see how I feel I can then maybe add an additional morning. Have been swimming the last couple of weeks, but that has been a fluke as Sean has been grounded and stayed with Ray, while Steven has his swimming lesson. Would like to 'escape' to the pool for me and do a few lengths - always makes me feel better. As for my bike, well if it's dry I love to get out on that. Am trying to be more active - can you tell ?????? Will I ever see a difference in me ????? Will I ever make it down to a size 16 ?????? Am off to jog to the kitchen :) |
All this talk of bike rides is making me want to go out on mine Carol  keep it up..i might be telling you where i've been one of these days :) its a bit of a hassle for me to go on a ride because we have a really long steep gravel driveway so i have to pack the bike up in the boot of the car and drive down to a biking trail before i can set off  wish i could just set off from the house :( but i just would'nt feel safe riding down our driveway..and there is no way that i would make it up!
|
Still doing curves, still enjoying it, especially love the Saturday morning session, it just seems to start the weekend off right for me.
Had a few nibbly days this week, but am faithfully back on track again now so hope it shows on the scales next weigh in. Was so good to walk again tonight too. don't know about riding a bike, would probably fall off if I tried now as it's been years since I owned a bike. I have looked at some to buy but don't really have the storage place for it here, also, the sadles always look so thin and uncomfortable although on mens bikes, they seem to get the nice big fat bottoms comfy looking seat....why is that? Womens bums are always bigger than mens. Right, bath time it is....... |
Hmmm, its probably because men always think that their "assets" are bigger than they really are  i know what you mean about the seats tho' its kinda like sitting on a razor blade until you get used to it  i bought myself a gel seat cover a couple of months ago..just remembered that..so my first ride might not be as bad as i think :D anyway Chris..you know what they say "its like riding a bike..you never forget" and its true! I had'nt rode one for years when i bought mine and i have'nt used it for about 3 years so i need a bit of practice too.
oops...almost forgot to post that i treadmilled 1.5mls yesterday..first for a week! |
Walked 2.8 miles over the weekend and a further 1.5 today.
Am slowly but surely walking these pounds off |
Walked 1.1 miles yesterday and 1.7 miles today :)
|
Just done 2mls on the weightloss program :) thinking about doing the 20 mins of Pilates now :chin:
|
Did another 1.7 miles last night.
Am taking Steven swimming tonight, think Sean is coming too so won't be a workout just a splash around. |
Splashing around burns calories too Carol ;)
|
Sean didn't come with us in the end so I swam for 30 minutes.
Then today I've walked 1.3 miles. Not a lot but better than nothing. Really need to step up the exercise a little. Am doing about 30 minutes a day at the moment, but I am aware I do little muscle toning exercise. Did plan on getting up at 6 this morning to do a tape, but my bed was too comfy to leave when the alarm went off. |
Has anyone got a trampette?? I am considering treating myself when I get to 16st (max weight you can be to go on one). And just wondered if they were any good. I am starting to get bored of my gravity walker, so am looking to introduce new things. I have got a mini stepper but max weight for that is 16st, so another coupld of weeks before I can use that. And I can't be bothered with learning to ride the bike that hubby bought me at christmas.
|
Don't have a trampette, do have a bike though, is an old rattly thing but I love riding it. :)
Did loads of exercise over the weekend. We went to mum and Dads caravan at Kenmore. On Friday night I walked about a mile, then on Saturday I walked about 5 miles and rode about 7 or maybe it was 8 - was a fair distance anyway. Sunday I walked a bit, couple of miles. But all this was balanced out by 2 ice lollies, fish and chips, a lot of wine and a curry. Was all good fun. No exercise today, in Glasgow at lunchtime. Did some work in my garden this evening - guess that counts is better than sitting on the couch watching the box. |
I forced myself to do some exercise today  far too much sitting around in the sun drinking beer going on here  1 mile on treadmill, 10 mins weights and 20 mins Pilates :) about time too.
|
No curves for me today :( Didn't have time as had an awful lot of running about to do after work. Will go tomorrow and work out with a vengence though to make up for today.
Leigh, I have a mini trampoline, think it's the same thing as a trampette. I love it, it's so easy to bouce away or jog while listening to music or watch telly. I don't use mine as much now though as I go to curves but seeing as I missed my session today I really should have a bounce around. My daughter loves it too...she was boucing the other night during a thunder storm and having a great time, so it's getting some use. :) |
20 mins Pilates and 15 mins weights today ;)
|
done none all week :(
Will go for a walk at lunchtime - promise |
OK I cheated and took the car into Stirling town centre. Need to seriously move my butt this weekend
|
Walked 1 mile on a 10% incline yesterday :stress: and did the 20min Pilates tape :D
|
I just had a super workout at curves, I am now finding myself doing proper jogging on the recovery stations in between each piece of machinery. Didn't even realise I was doing it and once I did, I just couldn't stop myslef. Major achievement for me as I've not jogged in years :)
I feel good! |
Great Work Chris :D
|
Yee Haa chickies!
good luck for the next weigh-ins, you all deserve all the loosess in the world with all that determination behind you.... |
Every body is putting me to shame this week. Am determined to go for a walk at least today, if I ever move my butt from the computer that is.
Am addicted to a word game, good exercise for my fingers, but not toning or weight bearing or areobic, so doubt the last hour as done me any good. |
Have been promised we are going for a family walk this afternoon, but now the rain clouds are threatening and Ray and my brother are chatting on the couch. ANd they say women can talk
If I don't walk, I need to do the areobics vid. I haev to get this body moving again |
Hope you managed to do something Carol ;) i've just finished walking 3.60mls on my weightloss program for a calorie burn of 400 cals :cp: i can feel myself getting so much stronger :strong: i don't tire as easily these days :D and it helps to watch a scary movie  i just watched Jeepers Creepers  about some critter killing folk and eating bits of them..it made me jump in a couple of spots (not good on a treadmill  ) great for getting the little legs going!
|
Sweated for the first time today at Curves, not cos the workout is sweaty, cos it's finally warm here, 91 degrees at present, so I'm sure I must have burnt a few more cals off today :) Especially good as I succombed to a rather nice biccy at work that someone made...why do people do this? I'm not nice enough to make other people biccies.....hmmmmmmmmm
|
LOL..i'm not nice enough to make 'em for myself never mind anyone else Chris :dz: Great Job at Curves :cp: I walked/jogged 1.5mls and did 20 min Pilates today :)
|
Have walked 1.25 miles today and yesterday - not much but an improvement on last week
|
Ditto..i walked/jogged 1.25mls yesterday and today too :D
|
Walked 1.25mls on the weightloss program wearing 5lbs ankle weights  first exercise in 4 days :(
|
Went to Curves this evening, now they are playing silly buggers. Want you to play games while you're on the recovery stations such as Follow the leader......Did I sign up and pay to go and play at being a daft twit? NO!!! I just want to go, do my own thing, use the machines and not worry about me or anyone else in the place, let alone jump around like a loony....rant over......
|
Get a t-shirt Chris "I don't want to be a Daft Twit"
|
Can I have one of those t shirts too ?
Walked 1.25 miles again today Am going to set the alarm early tomorrow morning and am determined to get out and walk some tomorrow morning, come rain or high water. May need to put the alarm on the shelf in the wardrobe so I have to get out bed to switch it off and then what is the point of getting back into it - NONE !!!!!!! Please please please if I don't walk tomorrow morning, can you send the exercise police round to kick some butt |
:drill: Consider it done Carol
|
Get up and get walking Carol!!!!! NOW!!! OK, maybe it's a bit early as yet, but you only have a few more hours of snoozing.... DON'T GET BACK IN THAT BED.....the exercise police are outside the window :)
Was a good girl myself today and went to Curves, no more silly buggering games today, Thank Heavens. Just did my ususal thing and chatted to Sandra on our way around....also had a nice long walk with the dogs this evening, it was rather lovely out, and the honeysuckle smelt wonderful as we passed by the thickets. Reminds me of England :) |
