ARGH! I'm trying to buy clothes for my holiday-I wear blokes t-shirts at the mo as that's what I feel comfortable in, I hate v-neck t-shirts...I wanna 'girly' myself up, but I have really narrow shoulders and anything in a 24 just slides over them! Or they're too low cut-low enough that I can't wear because half my bra shows! I hate this.
OR they're those gypsy type tops-which I detest! I bought one from new look, cost me nearly £30 but I've never worn it.
Grr.

I spoke too soon last night - it's raining again. I've just been out for a run and come back soaked.

Ah well...

Shame you got soaked YP1 - you should have been with me - sunshine!

OUr uni was celebraing it's centenary so yesterday afternoon me and a colleague went over to the site where it was all happening. There were side shows, people on stilts, food tents etc and music. Great fun.

My inner child came hurtling out at the sight of candy floss (yum!) and the carousel - on which I had 2 rides. I said they should keep it on site to cheer everyone up!!

We also had burgers (hopefully mine was veggie but really hard to telll!!), and English tea complete with scone and clotted cream and jam, fruit covered in chocolate from the chocolate fountain oh and 3 lots of Pimms -

We missed the Elvis act which was apparently really good as it was across the road but got there in time for the Motwon tribute band who were very good. The weather went from grey to sunny while we queued for a burger - in fact I felt the sun teaming down on my neck! We got there just before 2pm in a free coach but had to make our own way back and left around 6-6.30pm.

Homersmummy - I actually like v necks - they look better on me -they slim me down a bit and do not emphasize my chins too much. I hate anything close to my neck. I love the gypsy tops - if you are buxom like me I think they can look flattering - however I know they are not to everyone's taste. I know what you mean about tops falling down. I prefer to get some a size larger for comfort but then find it falls off me! I like a scoop neck too but have to remember what bra to wear. I have different styles and of course some straps will show if it is a scoop or boat neck.

Morning everyone,

Don't seem to have managed to get in for a week or so to write, but have read up on everyone.

SA... sorry to hear that you've had to leave us for a bit, we miss you

Peacock, your Uni thing sounds great...cream tea.......

HM, your birthday pics look great, good luck with finding some new tops for your birthday, I have a few of the gypsy tops and love them, of course, they're not to everyone's taste....have you tried some vest tops? They can be very flattering too. And then you get nice tanned arms as well. Where are you going on your hols?

Helen, sorry to hear about your tumble with the tree root...never mind about the chav boys seeing... they're prob very jealous cos you can run, and they wouldn't have a clue what to do for their own good.

Frus, how's the flat coming along, all unpacked now? How's the toe?

Ninababes, just keep on plan and I'm sure you'll do fab for the upcoming wedding....we're all here for you, we do like a good wedding. don't we girls.

PIddling... enjoy the advacado's like other's have said, they are so GOOD for you....

Sarahgrace, well done on falling out the bottom of Evan's... nice feeling huh?

Crazy, enjoy seeing those bones appear... I remember when hip bones appeared for me.... absolutely fascinating I thought.....glad your hubs is enjoying you as well

Shmoo, welcome back....

RSG....supposed to be a beautiful day today after yesterday's 'oppressiveness'....enjoy it.

Well we're in to the last week of our programme, I was down another pound last week, another inch and another % of body fat, so not bad, as I wasn't exactly on plan over the holiday mid week.

We had family and friends come and stay with us, and went out to dinner twice and of course I made potato salad, and trifle... it was all rather lovely.

Ok, must get on with some bits and bobs.... have a good day all.

Where is the summmer weather? I really want to have a BBQ but every time I plan one it rains, last time I ended up cooking under my garden umbrella, it was nice but my patio floods in the rain and as you can imagine I was soaked, fun though

Trying to work out my plans for the weekend, really not sure what to do, I just wanna have fun lol!

Evening all. No I'm not sad being up this late. I've been to see Harry Potter and have only been home 20 minutes. Took my usual munchies and surprisingly came home with them. Very proud of myself for resisting temptation. Not managed much exercise today as I wasn't well first thing and it was nearly time to go out before I felt better. But tomorrow is another day.

It wasn't the best but it was good. Was a bit disappointed at how much had been cut from the book though. My hubby munched all the way through the film.

Just been clothes shopping and bought size 10 for the first time in my life . to be fair the tops were huge smocky things, I'm not really a size 10. BUT it was nice to pretend and inspiration to get back on the wagon now my degree is over.

It is good isn't it? You want to have the size label hanging out! Like those women do with their Hermes scarves where the label has to show! I remember the thrill of wearing a friend's size 14 coat. ok some coats do come up big and to be honest although I lusted after the coat and she ended up giving it to me I did think I looked like a sack of 'taters in it......

Hello everyone

It's been a while I know since I last posted. Not sure quite what happened to me but went through a couple of weeks of feeling very crappy. Most probably hormone induced, and I had become absolutely obsessed about my weight, This all seems to have settled down and I'm back at the gym and i've been cycling and walking too, but my motivation had gone right out of the window. Moreso than it had ever done since this year began. I couldn't even post on here as I felt such a fraud telling people to chip away at their weight and keep at it when I was being a greedy girlie. Anyway I've copped on as my father says and things have improved. I'm exercising and more importantly enjoying it again.

I've been catching up with your news Phoenix I am so sorry to hear about your father, and Lou I read your sad news too.

Then I read about Sarah having to leave for a while. Sarah if you are lurking please try and come back and bolloxs to that person who has found your posts. Personally I think this person is jealous that your posts are so interesting and amusing and if that person is reading this YOU SHOULD BE VERY ASHAMED OFYOURSELF. Hope to see you again soon Sarah xxx

Glad your still running Helen I'm cycling again today and really enjoying it.

Anyway I shall end here. It is lovely to catch up with you all again and apologise for being so fairweathered!!!

Much love to all

Michele
