  • Afternoon girls

Frus and Helen, sounds like you both had a super time, you're both stark raving bonkers if you ask me

Hi Michelle, gald you had a day to yourself in your knickers...

newbies....one and all. Just jump on in and chit chat with us all.

Peacock, glad to hear you're not being rained out, talking to friends at home, they're not flooded out, but are telling me all about the places that are.... a monsoon indeed.... we had them in AZ, but nothing compared to the constant rain back there.

I have my childhood friend arriving here in a few hours, RSG... I'm coming off the island to collect her from Logan...hope it's not raining up there, we have fine drizzle and it's mighty humid...Hannah's hair is all frizzed out...and my friends will be as well once she gets out of the airport...

WEll after finishing the six week challenge, I'm still on track, but haven't lost this week, not pounds anyway. I start another class in a few weeks, so hopefully will lose about the same amount again... I can live with the lard coming off that way...

Going to look at Frus' plague pics now...
  • The plague pics are great!

I did just under 10 miles this evening. I didn't wait to do it with running club and just went out on my own because I wanted to get back home a bit earlier. Still, I had a nice run.

I get to pick up my copy of the Harry Potter book tomorrow. They usually leave packages from Amazon outside the back door, but this time they took it back to the sorting office and I couldn't get down there this morning. I've been hearing everyone rave about how good it is so I can't wait!
  • My legs actually look worse than the pictures now!!! I will have to do an "update" picture!

I look like a leopard or something! At least I don't ache like I thought I might. I'm just a bit tired, and I'm taking it easy because of the grading I have this week

    Starts tonight!
  • Frus those pics are scary.....I bet they make you look very tough

I can't wait to read Harry Potter, one of my students is going to let me borrow his. He did this with the 6th book however when he handed it to me he told me how it ended. I had a little chat with him about why you shouldn't do that, hopefully he won't do it this time.

Chris looks like beach weather this week so hopefully your friends will have fun.

I'm off to school, I'm pulling my hair out, I'm not teaching summer school next year, I need a summer job that does not involve children. I love my job during the year but summer school is a whole different program.

Hoping for an 8 mile run today, I'm officially in the Boston Athletic Assocation half marathon in October so I guess I better start doing something to get ready for it!!!
  • Well I'm enjoying my Dorset Musli with yoghurt. Yum yum yum!!!!

I compared the price with the Tesco musli and it was just the same, so I bought the Dorset stuff. I bought plenty of musli supplies in Whole Foods, but only this morning did I get round to emptying the paper bags into a tupperware container! I will have to mix in some fruit and nuts and then I will have my own home-made musli! Heh!
  • I've just filled in my application for FLM
  • Oooh, so the mag's out then????
  • Mountain bike has arrived this morning. Anyone got a spanner? Hubby ordered is from same place at same time (it was buy one get one free), but his hasn't arrived. Just got to figure out how to put it together. Then I have to learn to ride it - do they do stabilisers for adults?
Hubby had decided he's not content with me stripping the bathroom walls - new bathroom suite coming any day. He wants me to strip the dining room as well Good for losing weight I hope though so I might let him off after I weigh in on Monday.
  • Hubby's bike has arrived via seperate courier. My front room has no room to move now. 2 bikes, a shower, heated towel rail and some furniture from dining room! All I need now is for the bathroom suite to be delivered.
  • Yes indeedy, it was behind the door when I got home from work last night. The envelope will be in the post later.

I skived last night's run because I didn't feel on top form, but I did a long bike ride (15.5 miles) to work this morning and feel a lot better now. I'm running to work tomorrow, but I'll see how I feel before I decide whether to go the long way or the more direct way.
  • Got my degree result today over the phone. Got a first
  • Well done!
  • cheers!! I knew I might because I'd averaged out my results and they came out at 71.2 which is a first. however I didn't know what I'd got in 2.5 modules so it could gone either way
  • Well done Sarah
  • Hello everyone

Well done Sarah whose a clever girl then.

Yesterday myself and my two sons took the train into London Blackfriars and walked along the Thames into Trafalgar Square and up to Oxford Street to do some shopping for them. We were in Nike town the Addidas shop Foot Locker , River Island and a good few others. We had a lovely day and I have to say the two lads were good boys. I had said to them any lip, bickering, shoving etc and we will just head home immediately. We got home about 9pm exhausted but happy. I made the boys go in the big new Primark I bought three pairs of knickers a lipgloss which was the exact shade of a Bobbi Brown one I used to wear, a make up bag and an umberella. I didn't look for any clothes as the shops were just full of rail after rail of brightly coloured smocks and I am all smocked out. I just can't be doing with them anymore.

I'm off to Ireland on Wednesday so I'm busy getting all the ironing done, hence the shopping trip yesterday.

Not much else has been happening here really. I'm off to a barbecue tomorrow afternoon.

I've been out cycling during the week not big 15 milers like you Helen but did three seven mile ones. London is full of runners Helen as we walked along the Thames yesterday it seemed everyone we passed was a runner.

Right I had best get going

    Take good care everyone

    Michele
