Glad to be here, Co-Leader... this all seems to help!
Yesterday:
Breakfast: 2 slices of toast, 1 tbs peanut butter, 1 cup 1% milk (was in a rush to get out of the house, so had to eat fast or risk stopping at McDonald's -- GASP!!)
Lunch: 2 slices of bread, 1 oz of turkey breast, 1 diet soda
Dinner: 3 oz hamburger, 1 hamburger roll, lettuce, tomato, onion, 1/2 oz potato chips (hubby wanted chips... I should have made him get his own!), diet soda
Snack: angel food cake with pineapple (WW recipe in my journal)
Did okay for a weekend!

Christie! Sorry about that, I missed your name in your post!
I am back from my walk. I did about 40 minutes with the dog. It is a beautiful fall day here in NH. Perfect walking weather.
Today's meals:
Breakfast: 2 servings of the pineapple cake (well within program for breakfast)
Lunch: Homemade shrimp "fried" rice. I've modified my recipe to be within program. Use less oil, lite soy sauce and I make sure that I take into account the rice!
Snack: 2 graham crackers
Dinner: (haven't eaten it yet, but will soon) 1 oz turkey (gotta eat it up before it goes bad!), 1 small pita bread, 1 tsp salad dressing; salad with fat free salad dressing
Snack: fresh fruit (either a pear or a peach... or maybe an apple)

Taking charge!

Hi Christie... you have great menues, too! Tell me, what is aloe vera juice? Does is taste as green as aloe smells???
Breakfast: I had oatmeal, too! Not organic, but not instant or quick cooking either. 1 tsp brown sugar, 2 tbs raisins, 1/2 cup milk, and 1/2 cup orange juice
Lunch: left over shrimp fried rice and a pear
Dinner: grilled Italian sausage with green -red-and yellow peppers, onions, fennel, tomato and penne
Thanks Joyce!
Aloe Vera juice is the juice from the plant, it actually looks like apple juice I read that it is good for you in many different ways in a book I got at the health food store, It was called Miracle foods from the Bible, I really enjoyed reading how the best foods for us are the ones that arent tampered with.
Hope that helps ya, and keep up the awsome work!
But does it taste the way it smells?? Is smells so.... green! I have a friend that drinks something that she gets from a healthfood store. She calls it her "grasses." It certainly does seem to help with her eczema. But it sure does look like swamp water! lol
Breakfast: 2 soft boiled eggs, 2 slices lite wheat toast, 1 tsp margerine, 1/2 cup orange juice
Lunch: 94% fat free popcorn, pear
Dinner: savory chicken with wild rice and mushrooms, brocolli
Joyce- The I couldnt honestly tell you what the juice tastes like cause I cover up the taste with juice, But I know it cant be toooo nasty cause it doesnt affect the taste of my juice hardly at all..... Its amazing what you can learn to like when you are determined isnt it?
Breakfast- 1 bowl of oatmeal and 4 oz apple juice and 4 oz aloe vera
lunch- 1 microwave cup of hormel chili
snack- applesauce (unsweetened)
Supper- 4 oz steak, 1/4 cup potatoes, 1/8 cup corn, and a salad and a ww roll with lite butter, and 1 slice sugar free chocolate pie
no snack on account of dinner being toooo huge LOL
Weigh-in night tonight. I lost 4 lbs.!!! (total of 16.75 in the first two weeks of being in control) My husband lost 3.75 lbs.! (total of 6 lbs.) We are VERY happy!
Wednesday's menu:
Breakfast: 2 slices lite wheat toast w/1 tbs peanut butter
Lunch: left over homemade shrimp "fried" rice
Snack: fresh pear
Dinner: 2 hotdogs with pita bread, a few tortilla chips with salsa (it's a lame reward, but I am tired and HUNGRY)
You have done great with your menues this week, too. Please let me know how YOU do!
