Hi guys!

I wanted to chime in. I need some support to keep me motivated this time. About a year and a half I was at my lowest weight ever at 175 then I met my bf and since then I went back to 230. I need support and motivation so I sure hope you guys can help me out. I have all the messengers there are so if you want, feel free to message me. BTW I am 22 and have about 78 lbs. total maybe more to lose.

JasonsLea 09-27-2006 11:27 PM

Keep going Tracy!

Welcome Mojo!

WI was yesterday and I'm down 1.4 from last week. Also, this is the first time that I can remember being 241.

ayla84 09-28-2006 12:23 AM

welcome mojolove05!

I haven't been doing very well with my diet. I have been so afraid to go on the scale, but actually it's not too bad. My friend is doing WW (she weighs around 120lbs!!) and I'm tempted to switch over, but I hate the meetings...

This week has been so stressful. I'm still job hunting and there is nothing I hate more than going on interviews. I have 2 tomorrow. So far I haven't heard from any jobs that I'm really excited about.

Anyway, keep up the good work everyone. I wish I took my measurements in the beginning to see if there is actually a change yet! It still doesn't feel like I've changed. I guess it will be a long process :)

Megan2006 09-29-2006 07:47 AM

akacutie - I'm so sorry to hear about your knee  hope you feel better soon!!

So I told my mom I wanted to get a personal trainer at a gym.... THAT didn't go over well. To make a long story short, she reminded me how much weight I've gained, and that if I can't do it on my own without a "cheerleader", then I have problems.. LOVE the encouragement. I have lost weight in the past, but I did have a trainer there every once in a while to help me out. So after feeling like absolute crap b/c of that conversation, I'm a little scared to go to the gym (I just signed up to a new gym with my b/f) I know a lot about this kind of stuff, but get nervous when I have to apply it on my own.
I'm going to go hardcore at this starting monday, just to keep her mouth shut. I hope she doesn't think it encourages me.

Sorry ladies, just had to vent :(

How's everyone else doing?

ayla84 09-29-2006 12:15 PM

Megan - I can TOTALLY relate! My parents are always very negative. "hey mom, i lost 12 lbs!" mom- "you should be trying harder." gee thanks! When I wanted to join a gym, my dad was reluctant because he said he knew I'd never go. Anyway, I got a personal trainer and I LOVE it. They are so supportive and helpful. And it's more than just encouraging you, they show you how to do things and what you should be doing. It's tailored for your body because they know what you should be working on. I see them for 30 min twice a week. It's a good investment. I wish I could just get my diet under control.

Every time I cheat on my diet I lose weight. What the heck! I am very strict with my diet, then one day I let go and I finally drop a pound. Well, I'm sure it's better to stick with the diet instead of eating chinese food everyday.

if it weren't for this forum I don't know what i'd do. i'm so glad you guys are here for support!

JasonsLea 09-30-2006 02:25 PM

Megan and Ayla, so sorry about your folks. That sucks. Luckily, my mama is not too...invested in my WL. When I lose and tell her, she congrats me but she doesn't try to push me to lose weight or anything. Thank god.

TOM decided to come this morning....TOTALLY uninvited of course! Dammit! I'm going to gain, I know it. :(

akacutie 10-01-2006 09:01 PM

Good Evening Ladies!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the Good Wishes! My appointment with the knee surgeon is this Wednesday, I hope everything goes well... we will see.

Today was my weigh-in! I weighed in at 231, which equals a 4 lb loss after that gain two weeks ago. (What a nice suprise after not weighing for two weeks!)

How is everyone doing on thier plans?? Great, I hope!

Shari, I know what you mean about TOM, luckily I just finished a few day before my weigh-in.

Amanda! What did you all do for your baby-daddy's b-day... he he  I had fun when you and Levi came to visit me this morning.

I am going to change my Ticker now!

Check-ya later....

JasonsLea 10-01-2006 09:41 PM

Tracy, I hope everything goes well with the surgeon.

Second day of TOM and I did GOOD! Did not go over my points, didn't feel the urge to attack any and all sweets, got almost three liters of water in, and even got some walking in! I think I got all my period cravings out the way yesterday at my best friend's wedding reception.

akacutie2006 10-02-2006 06:40 PM

:welcome: MOJO This is a great place to come for support with your weight loss. That's great that you have taken the first step toward a healthier life. So what type of diet plan are you doing?

Well Everyone Yesterday was my big 2 week WI and I only lost 1lb

I thought for sure that I would lose more because I waited two weeks before I Weighed in. I guess I am just happy that I didn't gain any weight. I didn't really think about it until now but I did have my friend TOM visiting last week I wonder if that hindered my WI. :dunno:

I just can't expect great WI results every week. I am down 9 lbs since starting WW on 9-1-06. So I did do very good for the month.

I also did my measurements yesterday because I have been on WW for four weeks. Here a list of how many inchs I lost:

1/2 inch off of my upper arm
4 inchs off of my Belly roll
2 1/2 inches off of my waist
2 1/2 inches off of my hips
1/2 inch off of my thigh
4 inches off of my bust
Total of 14 inches lost!!!!

The exercising I have been doing really is paying off. Even though I was disappointed about only losing 1 lb for WI I was on cloud nine :cloud9: this weekend when I was able to slip into this really cool pair of Old Navy jeans. I bought them a couple of months ago with the hopes of losing enough weight to fit into them.

Tracy: Well it was fun visiting you but I just remembered that we forgot to exercise together when I was over. How did we forget???? But it was fun watching that extreme weight loss show together.

Megan and Alya: that's too bad that your parents are not more supportive in your weight loss. But that's just what this site is for...A big support Group, We will always be here for you.... group hug ---> :grouphug:
Shari: Thats great that you are down another 1.4 lbs. Keep going!!! :carrot:

JasonsLea 10-02-2006 06:58 PM

Mandy, you better take that 1 lb! 9 lbs in one month?! FANTASTIC! 14 inches?! OMGOSH! You are rockin girl!

Megan2006 10-03-2006 07:49 AM

Good Morning Ladies!!

ayla84 - dontcha just LOVE the lack of support at home? My dad is supportive, but isn't very 'nice' about it. Congrats on the 4 pd loss!!!!!!

JasonsLea - way to go on the self control! If sweets are in my way, I eat them :^: (I admit it..)

I was so excited about starting up at the gym yesterday.. but noooooo, I threw out my back on saturday. I slipped and fell at home and my back hit everything on the way down.. chair, corner of the wall, etc.. needless to say I'm on no condition to be running or lifting weights.. Just my luck :( Make sure you guys run an extra 5 minutes for me :D

pigginpodgey 10-03-2006 12:28 PM

Hey ladies!!! Im slinkin my way back in here, been MIA for a while, 10 day vacation etc etc, but Im back, and full of conviction to lose some weight!!!

mojolove05 10-03-2006 03:40 PM

Hey ladies... I weighed in and am another 3 lbs down last week. Woohoo down 7 lbs now. I feel so much better.

Been off caffiene for 2 weeks now, quit smoking a month ago. Things are looking up.

Congrats everyone on all the loses.

Megan2006- hope your back gets better!

Megan2006 10-03-2006 07:31 PM

Congrats MoJo!!! Keep up the great work!!

My back is doing a bit better. I'm fine when I'm sitting, but if I stand for a while it starts to bother me. I hope I didn't damage it permanently. :?:
