Evening Ladies...Just a quick check in for tonight....It is so hot and humid here and I have such a headache, I just want to go find a nice cool dark place and be left alone. Good news is the fairy fat mother paid me a visit and took 2 pounds!! Also got my new clothes today. Now for the 24th to hurry up and get here, so I can leave on vacation. Be back tomorrow to do personals.

Helloooo ladies !! Whenever I say that I feel like I should break out into song.. Chantilly lace and a pretty face and a pony tail hanging down, a wiggle in her walk... lalalalalalala

Well another long day at the office for me. One of the supervisors from another department is on holidays for a few weeks and they asked me to help out, so doing double duty. Good thing I enjoy working

Hubby came home from work at lunch as he has a terrible sore throat. He is all tucked up into bed and now I have to cook dinner for myself... what's a girl to do... I know I am spoilt !!! I think I will make myself a chicken taco salad.. always a safe standby and I can't get into too much trouble making that !!

Let's see last night I watched Canadian Idol/Big Brother.. I had to keep switching between the stations, and then RockStar SuperNova. The reality TV shows totally suck me in.. one episode and I am hooked. However, there seems to be a whole lot of them on this summer, so I am being choosy at which ones I start watching. What shows are you watching this summer ??

Congrats to those of you who have had visits from the Fairy Fat Mother and thanks for the encouraging words. Figuring out what program I am going to follow is my biggest hurdle right now. I have tried so many and don't seem to stick to them.. I need to find a lifestyle change that I can live with. Anyone following a program that they absolutely love ??

A new haircut for Robbin.. ooooh lets see pictures !! My hair is driving me crazy these days. I would love to go into a salon and sit down and let them do whatever they want.. but I don't think I am brave enough. I spent so many years with short short hair and now that it is shoulder length I don't know if I could cut it again. But so many of the short styles are sooo cute.

Anyone have any vacations coming up - where are you off to ?? I have no scheduled holidays, but I figure I can live vicariously through all of you. Tina, yours is getting soooo close and sorry I can't offer any words on flying.. I take gravol and sleep.. I am a horrible traveller.

Okay gang, I am off to conquer the kitchen. Have a wonderful evening and I will see ya tomorrow.. same bat time, same bat station

Robbin's such a doll! I've been missing, so she sent me a PM to check on me!!! I feel luved!

I have been doing okay... not eating right AT ALL, but have been making an effort to workout... (or at least thinking about it). I have contacted a friend of mine that lives a few blocks away, and we're going to start walking / working out together. We walked together once last week, and had planned to walk every day this week, but she's fallen thru on me the past two nights. But she promises to get on board next week with me, and we'll exercise regularly... I'm hoping so, because I really enjoyed our walk last week. She brought her son in the wagon, and I pushed my girls in the stroller, and afterwards the kids all played on the playground. It was nice.

Since she cancelled on me tonight, I walked anyway. Actually, I walked for 45 mins to/from the store to get DH oreos, which I'm going to stay out of!!! My feet are killing me. I can't wait for my body to get back in shape, so that exercising isn't so darn PAINFUL.

Well, Robbin, thanks again for checking in on me. I'm going to try to catch up on all of your posts now & see how everyone has been doing!

Morning girlies!!

Well i am a little stressed this morning. The dermatologist appoinment with my kids lead to an urgent appointment with an ophthalmologist monday and a slightly freaked out mom. My daugther has been having trouble with her right eye, the lids mostly being dry red and flaky at times. I had been told it was exzema but when he looked at her yesterday he said some of what he saw could indicate a more serious internal problem, possibly threatening her eyesight or worse. So we go monday and I am trying to stay calm without eating house and home until then. Plus I don't want to let on to her how afraid i am and freak her out too, the poor kid is only 6! Anyway, eating has always been my refuge at times like these and i am at a high craving time anyway! So far, I have managed to stay away from any of the stuff I really don't need to have but i am getting weak girls very weak!!!! Not to mention i have been on the scale 5 times this morning and different every time! The first one was 252.0 so i am holding onto that for the moment. I've got to see what kind of battery it needs and try that, this rollercoaster is driving me nuts!

Enough about me how are all of you!!! Sounds like some good stuff going on out there!!

Robbin - hate the storms like that, especially sorry it messed with your workout. I know I am eternally resetting clocks around here, either from the power going out or me unplugging everything in anticipation of a storm! Thanks for the chants! Scale - a - cide is still scheduled for tomorrow at the moment! Can't wait to see the new pic!! I've actually decided i am going to let mine grow out!

Linda - WHOOO HOOO on moving the ticker!!!! I am so excited for you! Keep it up and it will go!

Tina - thanks for the cheers , i really need them now that the scale is screwy on me again! I am with you on the half-*** effort and good enough! Makes me crazy! My advice for flying (and yes i only tolerate it when i am forced not my first choice of travel by any means!), get a good smut novel and start reading it while waiting in the airport it always seemed that i got to a good part about the time I am supposed to take off and get right back into it. Xanax and a shot of scotch always worked for me too. My aunt suggested thinking of it as a bus ride through the city when you are hitting turbulence. Hope some of that helps, of course when you are traveling with a small child keeping up with them may be enough to keep your mind off what is really happening!

Cheryl - WHOOO HOOO for you too! Great news to hear your scale is really moving! Dropping like this right before vacation really kept me motivated to keep doing what i need to and not blow it while i was gone. You are doing so awesome, keep it up! Hope the headache eases up with a good nights sleep!

Louie - I am into medical shows on Discovery channel and The Closer and Saved but i seem to keep falling asleep while watching them! My program is low carb due to insulin problems (not diabetic yet but trying to avoid it) and actually my screen name says the rest Eat Less Exercise More - Put God First, hence ELEM-PGF. Like you said it has to be a lifestyle change when you are talking about losing the kind of weight we are. Fad diets and weird programs only get you down and then right back up again. Find something sensible and that works for YOU!!! I find taking a combo of everything i have ever heard/done and mixing it with what Dr.s are telling me now and then what I know I can really do is the best plan. Good luck!

Shawn - SOOO GOOD to hear from you again, Robbin isn't the only one who's been missing you! Don't let the lack of sticking with the eating keep you away! The exercise is awesome and you are motivated! We have to keep in mind a journey like ours takes one step at a time, taking huge leaps only leads to falling!!!! You are doing steps everytime you get some exercise! So give yourself credit where credit is due! Keep it up and the rest will come!

Yall have a fantastic day and I will try to check in later!!

Morning girls. Got my work out in today. Did 3/10 of a mile on the treadmill then 1.1 miles on the exercise bike. Thought I would change it up a little. I enjoyed the bike more. I thought it would be easier but boy was I wrong.

YAY Cheryl glad to hear you have dropped another 2 pounds. You are getting close to the 200’s. It’s exciting isn’t it.

Louie – I am right there with you on the reality shows. Its terrible but I can’t help it. I keep planning on doing pics for you guys to see my hair but never get around to it in the evening. Sorry. I will try hard tonight.

Shawn - you are welcome for the check in. I missed you. Please don’t be a stranger, these ladies are what have kept me going and I know it will help you. Way to go on the walking, I understand not wanting to go by yourself. I have convinced my husband to work out with me even though he doesn’t need it, he works out every afternoon at work but the only time I have is in the mornings so he is being a sweetie and doing it with me then again in the afternoon.

Erin – I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. But try to keep positive, I know it is hard but you will worry yourself sick. I have been there with my oldest boy when he was a baby they thought he had cystic fibrosis and we had to have the test done on him every month for like 6 months. It was scary. But no matter what it is you will be able to handle it just fine, it might be hard but we are here for you.

Tina – I agree with Erin, a good book and keeping the little on occupied will help you. Either that or get smashed before getting on the plain then sleep it off. LOL Sorry I don’t have any better ideas, flying has never really bothered me.

Well ladies it is once again time to get to work. I will check back later.

Default Happy Thursday!

Cheryl, congrats on the fairy fat mother visit! That is awesome! I hope that was a little help taking your attention away from that nasty headache. (wishes eh?)

Louie, you're a busy, busy girl. Dinner sounded real yummy...care if I come over? I get pretty addicted to reality TV too. I hope they never end. My favorite is Amazing Race and then Survivor, Top Model...etc..etc..the list goes on. Yeah, that's right...I have no life. I would love to take gravol but if I don't get to sleep on that stuff...I'm impaired...really! I practically slept through my labor for pete sake...LOL! I'd wake up have a contraction and fall back to sleep. The nurses had to slap me on my face to keep me focused...a lot of it was a blur. So I think I better keep away of it, unless I'm really sick which in the beginning of labor I was.

Shawn, nice to see you again! I'll echo the advice already given. You shouldn't stay if you're struggling, it's here you'll find the support to pull you through. Having a workout buddy is great...I hope it takes off well you both!

Erin, yikes! That sounds so awful. You're doing a good job so far, you know how to keep yourself maintained as far as not heading straight to food to comfort you. You've got the strength to pull through till monday..you can do it! I hope everything is okay and it isn't anything too serious. The poor little thing. I'll probably be in the air when you're at the doctor but know that I'll be thinking of you both. LOL@the smut novel. Hubby already asked if we could meet in the bathroom! haha! I said I know I lost some weight but not that much to actually fit in their bathrooms comfortably. Ahhhh....I got a kick outta that one!

Robbin, great effort with the exercise girl. Be careful you just may get addicted! Wouldn't that be a thought huh?! I guess you can send me some of your bravery...I hate flying..something about the no control factor I guess. Your life is in the hands of someone else...who maybe hadn't had a good rest or drunk..or...or..or...I better not get into it OR I wouldn't be getting on board..LOL!

Off to start to my next scheduled day of my to do list. Yesterday went well...I finished the basement about 11 pm lastnight. I love it now...very tidy, clean and smelling good.

Have a great day girlies! (2) sleeps left...but who's counting? lol!

Erin...So sorry to hear about your Daughter. I will keep both of you in my prayers. Be strong and NO stress eating!!!! We are here for you. Go Erin, Go!! Congrats on moving the ticker down. I agree with you, I couldn't do it without the support I get here. Great job by the way working out in the pool and getting your water in.

Robbin...Congrats on getting your exercising in for the day. I can't wait to see 299, it's been like 10 years. Going to be AWESOME when I do!!!!

Linda...How's the work project going? So happy the fairy fat mother paid you a visit.

Tina...Two more days till you are off. Bet you are running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. LOL I'll be that way next week. I love to fly, but hate flying over water. I take my personal CD player and listen to music and either read or do some handwork.

Louie...Girl, you enjoy work way tooooo much! LOL...Love the song by the way. Can see and hear Jerry singing it. Hope your hubby is feeling better. How was the chicken taco salad?

Shawn...Way to go on getting out there and walking even though your friend couln't. So proud of you!!!

Woke up with the headache gone, but it's back. Combination of heat and the farmers cutting the hay. Something I will have to deal with through next week. Got my new clothes yesterday, and I only had to send 2 tops back that didn't fit right. My capris are pants on me and I even ordered petite. I could shorten them, but they have a printed boarder and it wouldn't look quite right. I really hate being only 5' at times. Have a great day.

Thanks for the warm welcome back everyone!

ELEM-PGF ~ Oh, gosh that is so scary! I know it's hard, but try to keep your mind on other things this weekend. You know when you worry, it never turns out as bad as what you've envisioned in your mind... hang in there! Hopefully everything will turn out just fine! Also, thanks for sharing what your screen name means! I love it!

Also... I've been trying to figure out a visual charting system for me to track my workouts... I've tried keeping a calendar page with stars, etc... but it's never in a convenient place or something. I'm ALWAYS on my computer, and I use outlook as my calendar, so I figured there had to be a cute way to mark my workouts on there.... ends up, you can set a "label", which I made the code a pretty blue color, so now I can easily see my progress on the Outlook calendar. Yay!! Hopefully this will help motivate me... because right now, it's almost 1/2way thru the month, and I've only got 2 days of exercise on there. I think it will need to look better than that, to see some results from exercising!! hehe

Good Morning All-

It is storming like crazy here-thunder and lightning-the whole works! Lucky me, I get to go out in it in just a few minutes ...I think I would much rather crawl back into bed-I love to sleep when it's raining!

Tina, have an excellent trip!!! You have been looking forward to this forever-take plenty of pictures and enjoy yourself! To answer your ??'s about my employee- she is 25, and I am her boss at the University, and YES, she needs a bit of maturity/growing up/does of reality. First time w/the pregnancy, I was really accomodating and it got taken advantage of...hence the problems. I'll still be accomodating, but this time, I'll know what I'm getting into and make sure the BS portion of the program doesn't happen again...

Robbin, I think the working out is fabulous, no matter how short it is- everyone has to start somewhere, and believe me, I'd be winded after about 2 minutes!!!

Erin, I am sure everything will work out w/your daughter-hopefully it is just something simple. I'll keep your family in my thoughts...but until you know what it is exactly, try not to worry too much-I know, easier said than done!

Shawn, the calendar thing sounds like a good idea-I may try it! I like the idea of having some kind of tracker for exercise.

Cheryl, congrats on the loss-again!!! Way to go!!!

Louie, I too am a huge reality TV fan! Currently, I've got Big Brother, Treasure Hunters, and America's Got Talent going...normally, I watch Amazing Race, Survivor, The Apprentice, and of course, my favorite, American Idol-not to mention, I am a total Food Network Addict! All I can say is Thank God for TIVO!

Well Gals, I am off to duke it out w/the storm! Have a great weekend-Tina, Travel Safe!!

Howdy Chicks!! How are ya'll this morning! My cable is acting up a little so i am hoping i can get through this before it crashes totally. I am still hanging in but it's getting harder, now we are having some unexpected money issues due to other people messing with our money, lets just say computer transactions for deductions and deposits are wonderful and handy but not when they take out money they already got or don't deposit money that you know is coming!!!!!!!! INFURIATING!!!!!!!!! Needless to say hubby and I are on edge and it doesn't help when we are already stressed over Amelia! Ohh well, there's a reason for everything and it will all work out in the end, it always does!!! What's really scary is this morning I can't even eat at all!! I am never that way! My system is just really messed up right now and can't seem to figure out what has me so out of whack. The scale was up three pounds this morning, I am beginning the period of endless PMS (day 28 tomorrow) but I never know when it will end. Hopefully soon and that will get me back in line.

OKAY!! Enough about me!

Robbin - congrats on the work out . I have only done some outside biking but not stationary, I know the spinning classes they advertise around here look really hard! Sounds like you are doing great! Thanks for the support about Amelia. We went through the CF thing with my son, he had had pneumonia twice and RSV by the time he was about 10 wks old! So they did all the checking on him but not near as much as what ya'll went through. First test was borderline so repeated at a local children's hosp and then was not even close. What a relief!!! I am praying for the same experience with my daughter, a lot of hype for nothing!

Tina - thanks for the encouragement about Amelia as well. We are praying for it to be worry over nothing. Yeah, when i flew back from my grandfather's funeral i was impressed I could get in the bathroom alone but can't imagine anybody in there with me! Had to laugh at that one too! Keep focused sounds like you are ticking off items on that list pretty quickly!!

Cheryl - thanks for the support about Amelia, so far no stress eating, but add the recent "messing with my money" problems and the edge is ever closer!!!! I have the same capri problems! Can you shorten them above the border and make a shorter capri, i did that with one pair. I love getting new clothes, even just one thing can lift me up when i get bored with my wardrobe. Hope the headache doesn't get you down too much!!

Shawn - Thanks for the support about Amelia, yes fine is our plan, no other options!! You know I don't think I've ever shared before what my screen name meant, so you got the first explaination, glad you liked it! I do sooooo much with my outlook calendar. A lot of it has to do with my work, coding the patients I see with the different label colors, I have tried to figure out how to change label colors cause some of them are pretty bland but so far no luck figuring that out. Let me know if you do! Pretty soon your calendar will look like the ocean filled with blue! Keep up the great attitude and good work!

Well girls gotta get to work on some home projects before I head out to torture people in their homes!! Hope ya'll have a fantastic day and I will try to check in later! Thanks for being such good friends!!

Ryanmi we are getting really good at posting at the same time. I know I keep telling myself that worrying does no good anyway so go on with life enjoy and deal with it when you know what the reality of it all is, BUT.... Like you said much easier said that done. Every time i get onto her or have to really discipline her, I see her eye and I just want to hug her and cry!!! Oh got to stop!! I'll be crying on my keyboard!! Moving on! I am jealous of your rain, not the stormy part but a little water from the sky would be great! All the flowers are dying and the grass is just crunchy, you still have to cut it though because somehow the weeds survive!!! Careful out there in the storm!

Talking Happy Friday - TGIF!!

Cheryl, haha! I feel the same way about flying over water too...who knows why because if you crashing it doesn't matter what surface you're hitting the impact is going to be the same. Boy, didn't I just cheer myself up! LOL! Two tops outta how many, isn't bad for having to send something back. Pretty good luck I'd say for not trying any of it on. Where did you order from?

Shawn, putting something in "project mode" is a great motivator to stick with it. I'm glad you found something you're excited about. Anything to make us happy and excited while trying to lose weight is always welcomed. Good for you!

Ryanmi, thanks! I'm sure I will have a few good times! ;D Hope you're keeping dry!

Erin, I'm so glad to be keeping everything so far on schedule. I'm feeling pretty burnt out right now...maybe because I see the end in sight! LOL! Gotta love those airplane bathrooms eh! I hope things start to straighten out for you with your financial issues. It's always fun dealing with that stuff! NOT!

Hi Robbin!! Hope you're having a good day!

I don't know why but I'm feeling awfully dizzy today. I've been outta commission since I got up. I even went back to sleep at 10am till 11am. Luckily my daughter is so good..she just laid beside me and watched cartoons. My sister gets dizzy when her blood sugar is low, so I thought maybe I have the same...who knows...anyways I ate a pancake with syrup and I think it helped a little. I'm not that bad right now. I wish I knew what was up cuz I certainly don't want to deal with it on the plane. Not mention my lovely Aunt Flo showed up this morning. Well, enough about me....

Have a great day ladies! And oh yeah, did I tell you I can't count?! LOL! I said 2 more sleeps yesterday..when in actuality it's 2 more today! We leave sunday afternoon. Ahhhhh..I better go and lay down again..LOL!

Well ladies it has been a busy day. Hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to pop in and let you know I will probably be gone most of the weekend and not able to post. We decided that since I do not have any vacation time to take off work we would fit in a little mini fake vacation. We aren't even going out of town, just gonna go to the local amusement park, Safari park, Aquairum, and A space museum. We plan on eating out for the whole weekend and staying in a hotel to make it feel like a real vacation. We thought the kids deserved something for the summer and this is all we can really do in just 2 days. Next year we will do a real vacation, YAY.

Well I better get back to work. I hope everyone has a good weekend.
