Linda-those are beautiful!!!! I adore the purses. The little one is just darling. It is so neat to be able to share our projects.

Well, my long run was this morning. Today was 17 minutes of straight running. I made it, and I feel terrific now, but I really wasn't sure I'd get there. About half way thru the run I kept thinking I was to pooped to finish. I've promised to go to a gym workout of upper body strength and abs. SO, in a few short hours ALL my body will hurt instead of just my legs!

What are the big plans for the weekend? I'm going to a Ren. festival on Saturday (its one we've never been to-hope its nice) and then on Sun. we're having a picnic at the State Park, and taking the kayaks out. Monday we have a tentative picnic scheduled, but not positive on that yet. Hope you all have good weather, and get to enjoy!

Have a great one.

Brandy...Way to go on your run...I'm happy just being able to go out and walk for at least 30 minutes. Sounds like you have a great weekend planed. Hubby has to work for the next 7 days, so I have plenty to keep me occupided.

Meslissa...Congrats on the 1 pound, that is great!

Linda...So nice to have a face to put with a name ..Guess It's about time I post a picture of me. Will do that after I get my hair cut, perm and colored again. I promise!!! Love all of your projects. Love the ponchos and quilted jacket.

I was up early and sewing my kids down on the quilt. Have to go to town tomorrow and buy threads to match some of the clothes and skin tones. I'm also going to go to the movies and see "X-Men 3". We are suppose to be in the mid 90's for the next three days. Have a good evening and I'll check back with you all tomorrow.

Cheryl . . . beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I certainly don't see the problems you've been talking about.

Later, gator.

Thanks Linda, I think it's beautiful also. Went and bought $30.00 worth of thread today. That should get the job done on this quilt. Have problems with my new sewing machine. The automatic presser foot won't come up, and doing it manually, it wont stay up. Looks like a trip to the big city on Friday to get it fixed. At least I'm still able to sew and I have a backup machine.

Later gators,

Cheryl

Happy Memorial Day wherever you are. Hope the weather has been good to you. Atlantic Canada is having a mixed bag of weather again. It has made it into the low 70's (23C) but the sun is playing hide and seek behind the clouds.

Cheryl . . . So sorry to hear that your brand new machine is giving you problems. Hope it soon gets fixed again. Yes you are very lucky you kept the old one for back-up.

Mel . . . Good for you on the healthy eating on the weekend. Maybe you could try again with the afghan hook in a larger size, or try working on a smaller item. My hands and forearms sometimes bother me if my knitting or crocheting gets to tight or too heavy. BTW, I enjoyed that link and can hardly wait to see your project.

Have a great evening, ladies. Keep moving and shaking and heading in the downward direction. Here's some to help us make it though the night. See you soon.

Linda...Glad to hear you got at least a day of decent weather. We were extremely hot yesterday, but today we are in the 70's with a cool breeze. My kind of weather.

Melissa...Good for you choosing to eat heathy. I have had a great weekend as well. Eating mostly protein with a salad. Hope the scales reward me for being so good on Wednesday.

Linda...I fixed my machine. Yeah!!!...My new machine, all of the feet are screwed on and the screw got loose and the pressure foot dropped. My old machine, the feet all snapped on. Anyway, I hope I have it on tight enough now, but not too tight that I can't get it off when I need too. Spent most of the day sewing the kids on. Got the first row almost done, but I won't make my June 1st deadline. Oh well, it will get done when I get it done. Have a good night and I'll check in with you all tomorrow.

Morning ladies-

It sounds like you all had a very productive weekend. I just played. Lots of fun kayaking, and picnicing. The ren. festival was fun too! I didn't do anything food wise that is making me feel guilty. Snacked, but within reason so all is good. I'm low on exercise minutes for the past 2 days because of the heat and humidity. BUT, I moved the window AC in from the garage, and hooked it up all by myself this morning. (Put those new muscles to use!!!) I FINALLY am comfortable in the house after 3 days of irrepressable heat. I asked hubby to put ac in, but he didn't seem to find the need for it as he was off to an ac office -Sometimes its good to have to do things for yourself. I didn't think I'd be able to move the darn thing, and I DID IT!!!

Well, off to class so have a great day!

Cheryl-Your quilt is fab!!!!

Good Morning, Crafty Ladies . . .

Cheryl . . . Congratulations, girl, sounds like you saved yourself a trip to the City.

Brandy . . . Congratulations to you too. Feels good to do-it-yourself sometimes.

Nothing too exciting for me. Sun is shining but temperature has dropped back to the teens again (mid 60's). Not that I mind, of course. Finished another crocheted bag (well almost, think I'm going to do a flower for the front of it) and almost finished another quilted one. Pictures will follow when they are both completely, completed.

See you soon, chickies. Keep doing the good stuff.

Hi Ladies...Just a quick check-in before I call it a night. Have to get up early again tomorrow and I'm pretty tired right now. Never got my sewing room cleaned, instead I sewed. I should of cleaned the room through, since it has not been a good sewing day. I ripped my quilt today. Got it caught in the feed dogs and tried to get it undone and in the process, I tore it!!! I have spent most of the afternoon trying to fix it. Got it done, but I'm going to have to embroider a flower or something to cover the slight tear in the dollie's face.
Brandy...Congrats on moving the AC and hooking it up. Know what you mean about the heat. It was nice here today, but suppose to be very warm again tomorrow.

Boy, Cheryl, that is really the pits . . . bet you wanted to pitch the machine off the nearest mountain top. I'm sure you'll find a way to disquise it that will make it look like it was planned that way all along. Good luck.

It's another gorgeous day in Atlantic Canada . . . sunny and cool . . . just the way I like it. But I know it won't last . . . the nasty old jet-stream will be bringing some of your hot stuff to us soon.

The tortoise is proud of me today . . . I managed to move another .6 of a pound off to ugly-pound-heaven. Not exactly what I call 'rapid weight-loss', but at least it is moving in the right direction.

Have a great day, gang. Keep doing the right stuff and the rewards will follow. see you soon.

Howdy gals-better alte than never!

Got a walk in this morning in the high humidity and then went thru a spin class where the gym seemed just as sticky! I'm supposed to play ball tonight, but we have storms in the forecast so we'll see what happens.

I'm proud to say I exceeded both my May goals in minutes and miles! I'm very happy with that. I need to sit down and figure out what to do for June later today.

CONGRATS TO ALL OF YOU!!! Its awesome that your all going down on the scale. I'm experiencing a gain on the scale and not sure how to deal with it. The problem is my clothes all fit the same, but the weight keeps going up. Not sure if its muscle or if I should be concerned. Got any ideas??

Cheryl- sorry about the trouble with the quilt. It sounds like you're handling it better than I would. I hope today is better for you.

Mel-You can have the heat/humidity back!! I HATE it. One of the advantages of living in Michigan is the limited amount of time it is like this. I cant wait for the storm to come through and break this pattern.

Chat later-have a great one!

No thanks, Mel . . . I really do not want your heat (about 33C, BTW) and I definitely do not want the humidity. YAY on that loss, girl . . . feels great doesn't it.

YAY for your May exercise goals, Brandy . . .I don't want your heat either. Afraid I have no useful suggestions for you . . . I only maintain by accident. Post the question on the Maintenance Forum, someone over there is sure to have an idea.

Have a great evening, all you crafty little things. See you soon.
