Hey guys. I guess I am the first one here for Monday. I was busy all weekend. We had great weather so we spent most of the days outside. We remulched the front yard and ut the grass for the first time this year. Yesterday we went to the Sportmans show and walked around there for a little while. It was really neat to see the dock dogs. I don't know if you guys know what that is. The have a long ramp and the dog runs down it and jumps into the water to retrive some sort of toy they have. The jump as far as 28feet. We saw one go 21 and it was way cool. I wonder if my dogs can do that.

Red I am so sad to see you this way. I know that we you feel down it seems like nothing is going your way. Maybe this is the universe saying that it is time to move from that area. I know you have such a hard time there and I just wish you the best of everything.

Noelle I can't find those bagels I have looked. I have been eating english muffins latly as little pizzas. I have put back on 2lbs from my FP meal but Iam trying not to freak out. i know it is just salt and my body will let it go. I go through this almost every week so I should be used to it. I guess I am going to hit the meeting this week to weigh-in there.

Cal I can't believe it has been so cool there. We were pretty hot for a while but they say we are going to have a few cooler days this week.

Amiee I know a guy who lives in VA who is a firefighter. At least I think he still is. I havn't talked to him in over 13 years. I bet it is hard to have hours like that. I love my sleep and don't like being woken up.

What is everyone up to today? I hope you all come out to chat.

Good morning ladies. I had a fun weekend. Saturday night i went out w/my girlfriends out to dinner at a new Greek restaurant in town. The food was pretty good, sort of pricey but nice for a night out. Then we sat at a Starbucks for a few hours and just drank coffee and made a lot of noise. I think we scared away a lot of the regulars Didn't get home til after 2 a.m. Yesterday we took Michael to a carnival, great weather, overcast and a little breezy. I ate a big ole ear of roasted corn and it was so good. I am too old to ride on those carnival rides--I got so dizzy after only 2 rides and felt like cr@p by the time we left A good nights rest did me good though.

Cal, enjoy your 2 weeks off!!! I will check my email when I get to work for the pic and post it for you. Eeek, 53 degree high?

Kempy, I saw labs and golden retrievers in a competition like that on TV. It's amazing that they can jump so far, they just love the water and will do anything to get the ball or frisbee back We were at the cemetary yesterday morning (which is in the hills) and a hunting dog came out of the trees and was just roaming around. I think it got lost from his owner or maybe the pack and was just cruising around. Hey, just drink lots of water between now and weigh day and that extra weight will come off.

Aimee, I hope your daughter loves her birthday surprise--she better! It's funny how we just give stuff up for our kids huh? You are a cool mom for doing it.

Well folks, here's wishing we all get through our Mondays without much trauma

p.s. Kempy, those "Alternative" bagels are made by Western Bagel (out of California, thus the name "western" ). I haven't found them yet but they also make alternative pitas. I am hungry for a turkey pita w/lots of sprouts

It was nice to see and the temps have been very chilly; the high today was 53.
Hope to see everyone out later.

I don't want to hear about your 'chilly' 50's, when it hits 50 here in michigan we roll down our car windows, put on shorts and sandals haha

Hi Girls

Noelle you are so brave to go on those rides. I get so sick! Your weekend sounded nice though. We had a fresh pineapple yesterday and I just had to think of you!

Kempy when we use to take my old lab to the lake she would jump off the dock and retrieve sticks. It is so amazing how far they jump. Glad your weather was nice. It was warmer here too.

Cal have a wonderful, restful vacation!

Red I too feel bad that you are feeling so down. Hoping the best for you!

Aimee I agree too, what a nice surprise switching rooms with your daughter.

Well my weekend was pretty quiet. Just relaxed and my son had a little cold so we just stayed around home. The weather was actually pretty nice. It is so windy today though. I have to go get some things done before I go pick my dd. Have a great rest of the day!

Angie, hugs girlfriend. Sorry about your computer problems, I hope you can get it straightened out. You know, I am totally with Julie on this--we don't care if you're not on a diet, we love talking with you--we like you for you, not what size you are or if you're trying to lose or whatever. You are a great friend to listen to and well, if you don't come around, you're really missed. It's hard to stay on a plan when you have kids around, when the motivation goes away or just when you don't feel like it. You can and will do it again when you are ready. We believe in you.

Julie, I don't think I'm so much "brave" as much as I'm stupid for going on those rides I dunno.....I still think I'm 16 sometimes. I hope your good weather continues . We are expecting MORE rain this week....will it ever end?

Hi LChin. I'm sorry but I have to agree w/Cal and the CHILLY 53 degree weather....we're used to sun and warmth! (I'm from Hawaii)

Cal, I got your email of the snow in AZ. I can't convert the file to a jpeg or gif so I will just forward the email to all the gals I have emails addys for. I hope you don't mind. Having fun relaxing on your spring break?

Ooooh, on the movie front, I watched "Crash" and Roll, Bounce this weekend. Crash was an excellent drama. And Roll, Bounce...well, that one brought back some fond memories of my youth and the roller rinks. Hehe, am I showing my age?

ps. If any of you others want to see Cal's snowy dessert picture, PM me your email addy. I have addys for: Dips, Angie, Kempy, Julie, Cherie, Red and or course, Cal.

I just got back from walking the dogs. I tell ya, I had to beat myself to get out of the house. For some reason I am really tired today and I don't want to do anything.

Anige it is nice to see you again. Sucks about the puter though. I am not looking foward to the day we have to get a new one. I thought after the hurricane we would have to break down and get one but it was resurected. I hope it doesn't give you too much trouble so you can post. We miss you around here.

LC I don't think I could make it up north. I am a true southern girl when it comes to temps. I am chilly in the 60's. Are you going to join us?

Julie we are having some really high winds here too. I can sleep better now knowing that we had one of our HUGH pine trees cut Saturday. That thing would take out a house if it had fallen. We were really worried about it during Rita.

Noelle I am so bad when it comes to movies. I love them but I never take the time to rent anything. I just wait for it to come on HBO. Have you ever tried the vitalmuffins and muffin tops? They are great!

Well, I really need to figure out something to eat for dinner. I really am not to intrested in what I have in the house right now.

Arrrrggggghhhhhh!!! I spent last night and most of this morning looking for something to wear to a luncheon function today. While not black tie, I still want to look like a business woman ya know? And all my freakin' good clothes are too big! What to do??? I hit the stores early this morning and tried on all kinds of stuff but didn't pick anything up. I have lots of tops that still work, but it's the pants that I'm needing. I was so desperate that I even tried on some dresses I had hanging in my closet--and I NEVER wear dresses I'm sitting here typing wearing one for gawd's sake...it's ridiculous. It doesn't quite fit the way I want it too, plus it's raining and bound to be muddy on the lawn where the luncheon will be so I don't exactly want to wear a spring dress! *sigh* It starts in 2 hours so I have only about another hour to figure out what I'm going to do. I don't want to be wearing jeans either.... I'm starting to think about just staying home, but then I RSVPd for 4 people--that wouldn't be cool if only 2 showed up. Sorry, end rant, I just had to get that off my chest.

Hi girls just a quick post from me. It is dh's birthday today and I have been running all day....baked a cake-yup I am going to have some, got him a couple of shirts and picked up some balloons for him from the kids. So now ds is going to be getting out of school so I have to get going. Hubby wants to grill burgers tonight. Yum!

Hi Kempy!

Noelle my gosh I hope you found something to wear. I just hate that when I can't find anything at all. But everything is too big? That must feel good though

Thanks jbbm and melekalikimaka for telling me that the surprise was nice. She likes it and it will work out best for her sleep over friday - oh man - I limited it to only 3 girls plus jini, that way i have only 4 to contend with.... I am already looking forward to Saturday evening LOL.\

Kempy I have no idea how it would be to be 24 on in the fire service but I can only imagine. I am a volunteer and this weekend was rare - my parents had my daughter so that i could be available to run because most of our guys were at a fire school in wierton,wv. When Jini goes to grandma's & grandpa's i am available during the middle of the night - other than that I don't run calls after 9 pm becuase it will disrupt her sleep schedule. So I honestly don't run many calls during the night except for one weekend a month. I grab the day calls when i am not in school lol. PS ... I always talk to myself

melekalikimaka - good luck finding something you want to wear to the luncheon. The bonus to all of this is I am so happy that you are frustrated because your clothes are all TOO BIG. I can't wait until I can't find anything in my closet to wear because it is all too big. I am jealous of you.
