  • Hi Aimee!!

So glad you could be with us Aimee. It is so exciteing to have someone new in our gang. Okay now a little about me.
I'm 24 years old (still the baby YEAH ) I live in manhattan with my dog Niko. I recently lost 210 pounds (my ex-boyfriend ) Now I'm completely absorbed in school and work, both of which I do full time. it drives me nuts but I'm counting down to the spring break so it's all good. I look forward to geting to know you.

Hello my gurlz, I got a lot of work to do so I'm gonna turn in.
  • I'm checking in.... today isn't a good day for me because of my mouth and I feel very whiney.... but I won't be here.... I am glad this week is almost over, I need to find an attitude adjustment this weekend so I can get back on track...

Everyone have a great weekend.... I'll talk to you soon....
  • Good morning ladies, happy FRIDAY!!!

It is raining still and completely gross and muggy but I took the poor dog for a short walk. I'm thinking about getting her a raincoat from Lands End I feel bloated as well w/TOM and headachy. I can't wait til it's over. My docs appt went well yesterday, 13 lbs down from the last time I went in Jan. Now I'm good until December. I don't really have anything planned for the weekend so maybe i'll just stay home and relax.

Cal, so good to hear you're doing better. Take care of that sinus infection, Seattle sounds like a nice diversion too. Bring an umbrella I would love to send you some of our rain, we're quite soggy already and a lot of areas are just flooding. Wow, you have a ton of work to do but I know you will get everything done Tell Ashley good luck on her b-ball game.

    Hey Dips

Cherie, enjoy your weekend and come back Monday w/a fresh new attitude

Aimee, i re-read your post and now I have that John Denver song stuck in my head.... take me home, to the place, i belong, west virginia.... sorry! Like Cal said, the pre-teen attitude will pass, she works with them full time!

    So what's crackin' today everybody?

Almost forgot! I had to comment on the American Idol vote-offs. I am absolutely ECSTATIC that the ever-irritating Brenna is gone Now I can actually watch the show and enjoy it!
  • Thanks Cal and Dips-n-Twists.... I am so glad that the pre-teen thing will pass... being a mom is a happy and wonderful thing, but man each age has its issues lol... I notice that every age/phase I am like... woooo when will this pass LOL... You know, I have learned that people sometimes don't appreciate women enough. I mean we can have babies and raise them to be great contributive adults and yet we still have all the focus on physical beauty. If only guys knew just how strong and wonderful we really are. So everyone have a really great weekend and celebrate how wonderful we each are. I know I need to tell myself that a lot and I thought maybe it might help someone too.

melekalikimaka - I LOVE THAT SONG!!! LOL I went to the National Fire Academy for West Virginia weekend and we had to share it with Michigan, so when the band played that song us mountaineers (lol) rocked the house.
  • Hi Chickies :

AI is coming down to 2 words – SONG CHOICE! I really like Paris, Mandisa, and Katherine McPhee, but Paris and Katherine really selected the wrong song. I thought Chris really ruled it – and I like the quirkiness of Taylor. But they just gotta pull it out if AI wants to continue to hold the ratings. Maybe their coaches (I know they have coaches) should listen to the judges. And I totally agree – Brenna was annoying as ….

Angie – hang in there. I’m in the same boat… lost motivation, but primarily I am just SICK, SICK, SICK. I didn’t get a chance to meet with my first personal trainer – she told me to stay home and get well. So, I will lurk around and post until my motivation returns. I’m looking forward to seeing Puddin’Pop! to us both.

I certainly am getting all my water however. I’m on my 2nd quart of the day and its only 11:30!

Jbbm – I just can’t get fitday to work for me. I have a Weight Commander program that I use and I use NutritionData.com for calories. I like being able to build my recipe and find out all the food nutitional information.

    Aimee!!

Hi Dips, Red, Noelle, JTC, and everyone else. I’m going to take some Nyquil now!
  • Just bumping us up from the 2nd page.

I am all by my lonesome and enjoying every minute of the peace and quiet. Rick and Michael went out shopping and I am just doing some laundry and channel surfing on TV. It's 73 degrees and overcast, I'm waiting for the sun to come back out. Nothing much else going on.

    What's everyone else up to?

surf, take it easy and get better soon.

Aimee, yup, I totally agree! IF ONLY men would realize how great women are and appreciate them! Your little girl is lucky to have you as a role model.
  • Hi guys! Just saying hi. Hope you're all doing ok. surf, get well real soon! Come back to the 21-day thread too! aileigh, you too, thanks for being on the 21. Heh, I don't have kids, but can well remember the teen years myself. They're hard. They would be painful for a mother, I'm sure. Ignore them. Just be there. I sooo wish I could have known my mother as an adult (when I was an adult). I left the States when I was an immature 19 very poorly dealing with her having cancer. She died shortly after my 23 birthday and I wasn't there for her. It would have been her birthday a few days ago and I really miss her. Hope she knows that now. She wouldn't have then. Just get through the teen years, ok, surf? Don't see anything as a reflection on you. They're hard years.

Noelle, dips. angie, cal, jbbm, kempy, cherie how are you all?!!?
  • melekalikimaka, thanks for the kind words. We all know my lil girl won't feel she is lucky to have me until she is grown, but that is how life is. I remember when I first realized how much I loved and respected my mom and it was long overdue.

Redballoon, trust me, your mom knows how much you love her and miss her. She also knows and understands why the reality of cancer was hard to deal with. Sometimes as a mother, you get scared of losing your child because the older they become and these phases they go through trying to find out who they are, they back off some. But deep in our hearts, as mothers, we know that we are their hero in so many ways. Your mom felt that way too I am sure, because being a mom and having that love for a child is universal and crosses every cultural divide man can create - we all love our children and we know they love us... don't worry, she knew then and knows now... she was with you in your heart and she is staying right there. I believe that. My mom knows whats going on in my world most of the time without even talking to me.
  • Hi Girls

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We didn't do to much over the weekend. Just relaxed and did a little shopping. Got some snow last night I am guessing maybe close to 2 inches. Not too bad just enought to make the roads messy. I started off the morning with a healthy breakfast now to hold on to that healthy eating throught the day. My eating has not been good lately. But a new week always feels fresh.

Cherie, how is your mouth feeling? I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend.

Noelle you too, I hope you enjoyed your peace and quiet. I know those quiet times are hard to come by!

Okay Angie and Kempy? Come on out

    Hi Red.

cal I am glad you are doing better. I hope your sinus infection is cleared up.

Dips Spring Break is getting close!

    Hi Surf and Aimee.

Well girls my work is piling up here. Going to go get started. Have a good day and I will check back
  • Good morning ladies. I started my morning with a 5.25 mile walk w/my 2 sisters and their dogs. I just had breakfast and am resting my feet...they are aching a bit. This weekend was just a family one, we took Michael to Dave & Busters yesterday then came home and had dinner with the rest of the family. Costco was selling a huge tray of jumbo prawns so Rick broiled some of those up with garlic and butter--so good! I am going to have some for lunch today too.

Julie, I will enjoy the sunshine here for you since there's enough for everyone . I hope your snow melts away so there's no need for shoveling. Good job on a healthy breakfast Any plans for dinner? I am either going to bake some salmon filets or maybe make a chicken marasala dish that I just got a new WW recipe for.

Red, I'm sure your mom understood you for who you are. And she raised an independent, adventurous woman. I'm sure she knew you loved her despite the miles between you.

Kempy, how was your weekend? I'm waiting for ya to come back and tell us about it.

Cal, how're you doing today? Countdown to spring break must be making you feel better.

surf, do you like your weight commander software? Did you purchase yours right away or just test it out? I'm liking the looks of it and it's under $10...

Angie, don't be hiding out on us.

Cherie, have ya got your mojo back?

    Hi Dips!

Hi Aimee! how's your day turning out so far?

Well, I've got to get moving if I'm going in to work today...have a good one.
  • Hi people! Thanks for your sweet words, aileigh and Noelle! surf, how are you feeling now? I hope, better. Everyone else, a big hello! Hope you're well. Where is angie these days? Haven't seen much of her...
  • Good morning people Where has everybody run off to? Did ya get tired of hearing me blab about nothing? Hope you guys can come back and chat some... and lurkers should post too! I need you guys for support when the motivation starts waning...I know I need to keep this up for myself, but I like having you guys to talk to since you are my best cheerleaders and heck, you're family! I miss you guys.

Anyway, I watched Just Like Heaven last night (Reese Witherspoon and Mark Rufalo). That was such a sweet and funny movie. If you like romantic comedies I recommend this one--it's fun without being too sappy. I also love that they used the ORIGINAL version of the Cure song at the end of the movie. Reminds me of when Rick and I started dating and he bought me the tape/album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me (yes, a cassette tape ) while out on a date... I'm liking Reese Witherspoon alot these days and just watched Walk the Line too (Netflix rocks!) She deserved that Oscar.

Weigh in is today and I will post my results when I get back, but first a little exercise .

Have a great day all, come on out and tell me what's new in your world
  • Hi Girls

Noelle, it sure is getting slow around here. I was wondering too where everyone has gone. I never get tired of your posts! I get to hear about your great weather and dream. LOL I love Netflix too. My Mom said Just Like Heaven was a good one too. I will have to order that one. We watched the 40 Year Old Virgin last weekend. Funny but it was a long one. When the kids would come in the room we had to pause alot of it. But we finally got through the whole movie.

I am sure you will see a loss at your weigh in. Good Luck Girl!

I have to get to the store and buy something for dh. His birthday is next week. I think I will go the practical route and buy him some clothes for spring and summer.
    Bye for now
  • Hey guys. Sorry I missed yesterday. I know I said I would post but I was still tired from the weekend. My friend and I had a great time and I needed a rest from the world yesterday. I haven't read all of the posts but I see we have a new comer. HI!!

I don't have a client until 5 so I am home for now. Joe had one of his wisdom teeth removed and a cavity filled this morning so I am kind of babysitting him too. The pain just came over him yesterday. He will be ok though. He is a pretty tough guy. I am going to take the dogs for a walk and I will try to check back in later.
  • hey all what's up... nothing much here and I did my official weigh in only to see that the scale did not budge one bit. Good news is I got 10,000 steps in before 3pm woohoo.
Have a good rest of the day guys.
Hi redballoon and you are so very welcome!!!
Hey melekalikimaka!!! My days have been going good, how bout urs? If you ever need to talk I am around a lot and can always stop to talk to someone who needs a shoulder. I love to blab also and never anything anyone says is about nothing....
