I got plain old white wonderbra full support. I tried on a few cute things and fondled some pretty coloured things but .... Let's face it ... they sag! I just can't do the weinie little stretch straps. Too bad, there's some pretty ones.
They were, however, half price!
Totally agree about the tinie weinie little cutesy bras. I think they're adorable, but I want the support, especially across my back. Susan, you' probably made a wise choice. Go for the cutesy clothes instead.

Susan, can I ask a question, knowing that you can't really give medical advice, and all that. I think I have the flu, and if I take ibuprofen - does the amount of time I bring the fever down just get extended onto the end, in other words make it last longer?
Nope, I've never heard of that. If it's just the flu and if it's not a terribly high fever ... it's gonna last a day or two whether or not you take anything. You just make it more bearable if you do get it down for a while.
An old Doc from around here used to say that a cold lasts a week and a half but if you take medications it only lasts ten days
And you're right. I can't give advice! If you have any other medical problems or other things arise ... ask your personal expert!
Thanks Susan - last time I had the flu, the fever lasted 5 days and I didn't swallow pills and liquid tylenol did absolutely nothing for me. I am thinking this is going to be five days also - 3 days, it would have stopped by now, but I now can cut ibuprofen in 1/2 and swallow that. Just that I need to go to work on Monday, no ifs, ands, or buts.
I'm sorry your bug is hanging on. That's sooo miserable!
This weekend we're doing the wedding shower thing for my DD. One today and one tomorrow. I'll probably journal and be a bit careful. I don't know about exercise, maybe I'll do some this evening. Unwind after spending the whole afternoon being still and polite
OMG, we were on page 3!!!. Think my fever is all gone - this morning the thermometer came back 97.2 - guess there is a negative factor to not being able to close your mouth for the process (then how would I breathe). The incessent coughing is getting very old - course I thought that five days ago. But made it through a whole day at work. Did not eat well though - hope I can keep my losses off.
I'm glad you're feeling better Buddha!
I'm hoping that folks are spending time outside in the spring weather instead of inside at the computer. We'll just have to make a point of checking in more often.
I'm sure Marie's around here somewhere
buddha, glad you're feeling a little better. Fevers are so annoying. I get so chilled that I tense up and get a nasty headache. I think I'd definitely rather a cough. But, I'd rather none of the above.
Susan, spring seems to be alluding us her in the Oregon desert. Maybe like last year we'll just go straight to summer. I wish it wouldn't since I LOVE spring.
I got up early this am and exercised already. After work I get to play. I definitely like that.
since I'm at work, I should probably get back to it.
Marie
Marie ... we've had Springs like that. A little snow in May then sweltering in early June. I prefer a mild and blossoming, promising Spring too. This one is pretty close. Today we're ... um ... ejoying April Showers!
Let's see if we can stimulate a little go on this forum. Tell us three things about you that have not been revealed at 3fc.
1. I prefer my hair long. I like a ponytail.
2. When I stopped needing to tote children around, I got a red two door that I call 'Mama's Car'. As in hot mama vroom vroom!
3. Given my druthers, I would sit at the computer all day. I could easily be the sedentariest of the sedentary!
Susan, I really like a long spring too. But I guess I'm in for a long winter and long summer. I too like my hair in a pony or pulled back, but I usually get a headache from it pulling on my head all day. so I wear it up about half the time. And I too got a vroom car when the kids were older. I bought a Dodge Stealth but I had to sell it when I moved to the boondocks. It was just wrong to drive it on dirt roads that aren't maintained. So now I have a Jeep Renegade with no back seat.
1. I'm a little more nuts than my psychiatrist has diagnosed. I'm totally in love with my Alaskan Husky. She is my life, I talk to her (think telepathy) when we're not together. I'd rather be with her more than almost everyone else in the world. Yep, probably nuts.
2. I regret getting my lifelong dream of a pool. DH and I spent loads of dollars for an inground diving pool and I feel I have to swim every day during the summer. It's sort of killed my love for it. I still like it on most days, but the guilt is there if I don't swim daily. PS, I don't mind the maintenance/vacuuming. That I enjoy since it's so peaceful.
3. I live for eating. I suppose that isn't a surprise, but I'd rather eat than do anything else except play with my husky.
I'm going to whine and complain a bit this morning cuz I feel yucky! About a year ago I had an endometrial ablation. So I do't have much of a period any more. But I do still have PMS, a few cramps, bloat. But as I'm getting older, my periods are getting more and more irregular. Usually closer together.
The perfect turn out for an ablation is no period at all. I still have a bit of spotting which is a huge improvement for me. However ... this period is late. I feel awful, draggy, crampy. So I may finally be getting around to the perfect result of my ablation -or- it's just late. But I lost weight this week. That doesn't make much sense.
You may have noticed that I'm a bit of a control freak And I just don't like this 'variable' that screws me up! Blah! There! More than anyone wanted to know.
Susan, sorry you're not feeling well. I can relate with frustrations about TOM. Every female in my family has had a hysterectomy by the time they were my age. Everyone. So I'm thinking, yahoo, I'm almost done. Ha!!!! I'm the only female healthy one in my genetic pool. So it just keeps coming every month like clockwork. I have noticed subtle changes but basically I don't think menopause is in my future. So I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
I've been exercising like a maniac lately. Every morning I walk 3 miles (even before work - how scary is that) and sometimes I go for a 2 mile walk with the doggies after work. I did that yesterday and was so tired I basically collapsed for the rest of the evening. Today the weather is supposed to go yucky again so I won't walk again after work.
