I did weigh, it showed me up 4.2 pounds. I know I sure as heck didn't eat enough to gain that much, so I'm not sure what's up.*shrug* Unfortunately it's made it mentally tough to stay on track.

I'm really impressed at how much shopping you ladies got out of the way already. I still have so much to do.

I'm going to get running shoes for Christmas. I have sore knees after my 2 weeks on C25K.

The scale is NOT friendly this week, Ladies, LOL. I stayed exactly the same, but that's better than gaining.

Starting a new thread is fine w/ me...I was just thinking a couple of days ago that this one was getting really long, LOL. Maybe call it Slimmin SAHMmies #2
I dunno, You ladies decide and I'll follow, LOL.

I ended up at Old Navy on Friday, it was so crowded, LOL But it was definitely worth the trip. I just stopped in while (GULP) I was waiting for our PIZZA to be ready. But I had spotted a coat last week that I wanted to get for Christian, but it was $39.50 (out of my budget!) But when I went in Friday the same coat was (drumroll please) ONLY $19.50. I couldnt pass it up, so i put it on our O.N. card, and Christian loves it.

Anyways I am SO looking forward to getting back on program today. and get that scale moving again

Hope you all had a great weekend, I'll check in w/ y'all later

Smile Good Morning Ladies!

Good Morning Ladies! How is everyone doing? Good i hope! I am doing good! I did not wiegh in yesterday i am just fearing it so i think i will hold off until next saturday after a good week of eating right! You know?

Cynthia: I have heard of Mcminnville, but never been......i have only lived in Nashville for four years, i am a Florida girl, born and raised. I miss it sometimes, especially when it gets too cold up here in Nashville.

Mode: stay strong girl! I know you can do it, you have done FANTASTIC so far!

Amanda: I totally agree about the scale.......good job on not gaining...you go girl!!

Cara: Stay strong! I know you can do it!

As far as the new board goes, i will wait until we all decide on it. And then if you guys want i will set it up. Or whatever..i am ok about whatever.

Well i am going to jump off here, i will talk to you ladies later! Have a GREAT day!

Alisha

The gain has to be mostly water. Except for a few days my average calorie intake was only 1200-1500 so I know I didn't abuse food.

I'll skip this week for my knee and then repeat C25K week 2 the following week.

Amanda congrats on the weigh in success and finding that jacket on sale

Julie: Sorry to hear about the gain. Did you weigh at the same time of day you normally do? They say your weight can flucuate throughout the day. Maybe it's due to water, as you say. You'll do better next week! Sometimes I've gained for no apparent reason and the next week I'm down again.

Amanda: Great shopping! And I had pizza today, too... as well as a bunch of chocolate someone at my husband's work gave to him. This time of year is so tough for us! Anyway, keep up that bargain-hunting!

Alisha: Yeah, I guess it does get rather cold in Nashville compared to Florida. But I'm originally from Chicago, so it's not like the winters I grew up with. Having said that, after living in Nevada for a number of years I've become rather sensitive to the cold, so I know what you mean. Although I don't think I could stand Florida summers.

As I mentioned above, I've been pigging out on chocolate. No exercise today, either. I just feel like I'm in limbo until we move, and I'm using that as an excuse not to eat right or to exercise. I'll be sorry later, I'm sure. Maybe tomorrow I'll get my pilates dvd out. If anyone out there wants to kick me in the butt, please feel free!

Talk to you tomorrow!

Smile Hello

Cynthia: You can do it! Hey what pilates do you do? I have the Winser Pilates tape, i am thinking of alternating my workouts between the gym, taebo, and starting the couch to 5k this week.....hopefully to give myself more variety, and that way i won't get bored...hopefully. Good luck this week!! You can do it!

Julia: Is your knee ok? Is it from running? I hope you get to feeling better real soon!

Well ladies i am going to get off here and go to bed, gotta get up early to take my son to school. Have a great day tomorrow!

Alisha, I'm pretty sure that my knees hurt from running in the wrong shoes. I'm going to go to a running store and get some better ones. I ran on Friday and they were the most sore Friday/Saturday, they are only a little sore today, and I hope even better tomorrow. I'll still pass the jogging up this next week to heal up more.

I really like the C25K program, good luck on it this next week!

Cynthia, I don't see the weight going anywhere. I hope it goes away by Tuesday. I'm in a fitness challenge group, and would really hate to post a gain.

Moving can be stressfull. Hopefully you won't gain 7 pounds in a month, like I did.

Alisha: It's called 10-Minute Pilates. There are 5 ten-minute segments (abs, legs, arms, stretching, cardio) and you can mix-and-match. It's pretty good, but I've never tried any other pilates so what do I know.

Julie: What is C25K? Sorry to hear about the knees, I know that can be frustrating. I used to jog but now I'm waiting until I'm under 175 to start again. I read somewhere that you shouldn't jog much over that weight, but then I've heard of a lot of people who do and don't have problems. I guess I'm just using that as an excuse not to jog yet!

Doing okay so far today. I went to Target and got some healthy stuff to eat. Hubby is home sick today, so that kind of throws my schedule out of whack. I'll try to squeeze in some exercise, maybe even go down to the exercise room.

Carafre: +1 isn't so bad! You'll do better next week.

Talk to you all later!

Cindy

PS: Like my new avatar? I'm not really trying to fish for compliments, but I'm normally a horrible photographer. I took that picture earlier this year and was so very proud of it. I even entered it into a contest on Animal Planet (but I didn't win).

Smile Good Morning Ladies!

Good Morning Ladies! How is everyone doing? Good i hope! Well i am sad......i was supposed to start my Low Carb diet back again today, but i woke up not feeling good, kinda nauseous and yucky so i don't think i will start today, cause right now i am munching on pretzel and sipping sprite and i CAN not have that in my diet Hopefully tommorrow i will be better, it REALLY must be something going around my husband is sick today, i took my littlest to my mother in laws to spend the day maybe the night so he does not get it again, and i can disinfect the house and wash all the blankets...etc....It sucks! I just hope we all can get over it SOON!!

Cynthia: That 10min pilates sounds cool, who does it? The one i do takes 30-45 min to do, and its hard, especially when you have not done it in awhile! Your picture is really cool! Good Job. Besides who cares what animal planet thinks! I think you did a good job!

Mode: Good luck on finding some good running shoes! I will HOPEFULLY be starting my run tomorrow! Well ladies i am going to jump off here gotta get some blankets washed i will try and jump on later

Cara: How ya doing?

Talk to you later gals!

Alisha

Julie - Sorry to hear that you're hurting. I hope the new shoes help! Heal first then ease back in. You gotta take care of the aches & pains first.

Cindy - Love the new avatar!!! I wish I could figure out how to put a photo up there - I am the worst at figuring this stuff out. But really, such a beautiful picture. Not to toot my own horn, but I am an avid photographer and pretty darn good. Such a beautiful cat ( what's his/her name?). I hope you get to exercise today. We need to get back on track. I felt so much better when we were hard at it. I am walking today & toning.

Alisha - I hope you get better soon. I know exactly how ya feel! Sending the little one to MIL's, is a great idea. Wash what you can, but take it easy and get better. We have some weight to lose & you need to be healthy & ready to work your butt off!! Feel better soon, girl.

Amanda - I want to get to Old Navy soon! I can't believe you found such a deal!!

It must be a pizza week. We hade it last night. I didn't eat too bad. I need to up my water intake. Ok girls - I am off to get it together!!

glucosamine really made a difference today. I am barely sore. I actually forgot that my knees hurt for several hours. I'm going to a running store to try on different shoes. I'm still going to take this week off jogging and do other stuff. By next week, I should be ready to ease back into the program. I plan on doing week 2 again until I feel ready to try week 3.

Cindy, love the kitty avitar.

Alisha, sorry you're having a blah day. I am just getting over a virus, and it's not been fun.

cara, congrats on the great weigh in!

Cynthia, C25K is the coolrunning.com couch to 5k program. It's a 9 week program of slow training up to run 5k.

Good evening everyone, I meant to get on here earlier, but i have been SO sick today. I haven't been able to eat hardly anything so far, lol. But I am hoping that my tummy will settle enough to at least have a bite of something later.
On the bright side, Haleigh is starting to feel better, but I think Christian is getting sick now, LOL...Story of My Life.

Julie: Hope your knee feels better and good luck finding some good shoes. My DH started having knee problems a couple of years ago when he was working as a roofer (is that a word? LOL) It's horrible, he's only 27 and yet I am pretty sure that he developed arthritis (he wont go to the dr, he's afraid of needles, lol) Hopefully the new shoes will help you out

Cindy; I love the photo! That is a beautiful cat...My hubby took a pretty good pic of our neighbor's cat while it was sitting on top of his truck, Too Cute, lol. You just gotta love a digital camera BTW How DO you set a "real" photo as your avatar??

Alisha: Hope you feel better soon...Right now I know Exactly how you feel

Anyways I gotta get off here. it's time to give Haleigh her evening dose of antibiotics and panmist.

i'll check back in tomorrow

Well, I tried the fitday journal and I am eating so many calories! I am going to get w/ my doctor & see a nutritionist. I know that I am still nursing & require more, but I need to get a gauge on how many calories I need to sustain me & nursing. I know that fitday isn't for nursing moms - but i wanted to get a rough estimate of how much I eat. So I am getting w/ my doc. to see what I can do. I am also thinking of joining Curves. I think it would be great to get away & do something healthy for me. Anyway - I better go.

take care
