    Alisha-Hope you little boy isnt getting sick (again). Every child in my family has been sick this week...Mostly sinus and ear infections, but my Sisters 7month old has bronchitis, and my little brother had strep throat. I really need to go get some antibacterial hand soap and some lysol, LOL.

    I was really surprised at my weigh in this morning..202.8, that comes to 3lbs this week, and I REALLY dont understand how (i entered 203.0 into my ticker since its closer than 202.0, lol) I have eaten plenty of calories, some times too many. Oh well, guess I shouldnt complaign. Maybe I was overestimating my cals or something. Will be more careful this week, afterall I want this fat to stay gone for good.

    Well, I gotta get off here and get busy on the house. Best of luck on your weigh ins
  • Good Morning Ladies!
    Good Morning Girls! How is everyone? I am ok, i guess. I am sad that i didn't loose this week, but to be honest i was not expecting it, with dealing with sickness for over a week now.....but i am hoping to be back on plan starting tomorrow or monday! I just wanna make sure its all gone before i go back on my Low Carb diet.

    Cara: OMG! Girl.....i don't know how you are staying so strong....i would be eating the whole kitchen...a big mac and some cookies! I would of ate 2 times that! I will also say a pray for your grandma.....and i am sorry to hear about your hubby's step grandma. Stay strong i know you can do it, i am here for you if you just want to chit chat about WHATEVER! Lean on all of us, thats what we are here for!

    Amanda: WooHoo!! I am proud of you, i think you might make your goal before the goal date!!

    Alisha, you're doing great, don't worry about a single weigh in day, it's the trend that matters. *hugs*

    Cara, try not to let the Big Mac get you down. Sure it is better to eat healthy, but figure out your total daily calories, that is the most important in weight loss. *hugs*

    My scale keeps bouncing around. Today I weighed in at 220.4. Though I'm sure I'll be back up some next week. *shrug*

    I don't really get the lose, gain, lose type pattern.
  • Julie - How's are you eating? I'm sure that if you will start the loose, loose, loose pattern if you keep going. It takes awhile for our bodies to get in gear. It seems like I go through patterns, too. I loose big and then stay the same for a month or two. Then I gain a couple only to loose big again. I think it's my bodies natural process. But keep your head up & .

    Amanda - You get a , ok three carrots!!! 3 pounds is amazing! Keep up the good work!!! Thanks for your thoughts! Our family could use them!!

    Alisha - We'll do it this week!! It's ok. Back on plan Monday!! My goals keep looking at me and mocking me! I've got to meet the 185 goal. Thanks for your thoughts, too. I am staying away from the kitchen as much as possible today!!

    I weighed 197. I think that will be gone tom., so I am waiting to see.!!

  • Cara, you'll be at 185 in no time! I'm glad our bodies go through patterns. I'm trying to go with the simple (eat less calories then you use) diet. Somedays I eat foods that I wouldn't call diet, but I still try to keep my calories in check. Other days I eat really healthy and I try to exercise 3-5 times a week. So hopefully I will continue to see a downward trend.

    Alisha, you'll be at 185 in no time too! Thank you for the encouragement.

    I would so love to be 199.8 so I can say I weigh less then 200! lol so that's what I'm shooting for.

    Carafre: I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma. That's so tough for you, being in another state. I hope she's not in a lot of pain. She's kicked it once, do the doctors think she can do it again? Please stay strong. I know how special Grandmas are, my best thoughts are with your family.

    Okay, Alisha and Amanda and everyone else who was sick: Thanks a lot! Whatever you had, it's contagious! I had a serious stomach flu thing on Thursday night. All night long I was getting up and running to the bathroom. And I've had flu-like symptoms ever since (still do). Go figure; I took my hubby and son to the doctor on Thursday because they were supposedly sick, the doctor pronounced them fine, and I am the one who came down with something!

    Amanda: Way to go on the avatar, it's very cute! I assume those are your little angels? And I assume they get along that well ALL the time? he-he

    Well, my house finally sold. For the second time. We finally agreed on a price with the people who looked at it on Wednesday. And they're paying cash, so there's no problem with financing like with the others (who the heck has that much cash, anyway?!?). Now I have one final hurdle: there is a 4-day overlap between closing on our house in TN and the one in GA, so we will be bringing all nine cats here to the hotel for that weekend. Hmm... I don't want to think about that right now.

  • Carafre- Thanks for the welcome! I really appreciate it. I really need the support of other ladies struggling with thier weight. This is such a tough thing for me. Im doing better at it though. Thank goodness. I really need to loose about 65lbs. What program are you using?
  • Good evening ladies. Hope you all have had a good weekend. The weather guys are saying that we are in for 6-10 inches of snow tomorrow here in Southwest VA. It will be nice to see some snow finally, lol.

    Cindy-Yes those are my babies, and I'm actually pretty lucky, they get along pretty well most of the time. Congrats on finally selling your house, I bet you are thrilled. And yeah, WHO has that much CASH??? LOL. At least you know that there is no danger of financing becoming a problem this time

    Alana Jo - I am not on a program. I am allergic to programs. I eat as healthy as I can. I exercise & drink water as much as possible. I am looking at joining Curves - maybe. I actually loose weight when I am working out & eating right - go figure. My problem is I eat when stressed, nervous or bored. That's my challenge!!! What programs or plan are you on? What works for you?

    Amanda - Snow? I wish that was us!!! I want snow bad. Enjoy it for me!

    Cindy - Thanks. We don't know yet what can be done w/ my Grandma. We find out later this week. I think my dad said that it doesn't look good - but I am holding out for better news. I am so gald that you are back. I am so Happy that your house sold. I knew you'd catch the bug - it's everywhere. I hope it passes soon.

  • Hi Chris, Welcome to Slimmin Sahmmies and to 3FC! Hope you enjoy this group, it's a good one! How many/what ages little ones do you have? I've got one little guy, 16 months old. Plus a lot of cats. Good luck on your weight loss goals, we're glad you joined us!

    Does anyone else notice, fellow SAHMmies, that we are all at a similar weight? Not exactly, but roughly in the 190's (with a couple exceptions)? Not that we aren't supportive of people that are higher or lower, it's just funny that we're all so close.

    Oops, forgot to weigh this morning. I'll do it tomorrow. I spent the morning calling all the utilities to be turned on at the new house (and off at the old house). Man, cable is so darned expensive! I guess technically it's not a "necessity", but I just can't go back to dial-up or even DSL after having cable internet. But I don't have a home phone, so that makes up for it a little.

  • Alana Jo and Chris welcome! I am new to this group too, and really like it. I'm a mom of 2 girls (2.5 & 1) trying to bust the bulge. I'm using the 'hacker's diet' you can google it if you're curious. I'm also trying to train up for a 5k in may using the couch-to-5k program on the coolrunning website .
