Hi Everyone!

Alisha, I think the new years goal thing is a great idea My goal is to hit the 200lb mark by Jan 1, which is 6-7 lbs away. I also am setting a goal to stay w/in my calorie limit of 1200-1600 per day. I know I have been going above this lately and really need to get back on track.

I think I will do ok this week for the most part, my downfall is that I have 2 TG dinners, lol. I have dinner at my Mom's on Thurs, and at my MIL's on Friday, and they both cook so good, LOL. But hey If i go overboard, I'm not going to beat myself up over it, Saturday will be a new day and I can start over again w/ a clean slate...Just gotta remember to get my exercise in and keep my cals in check the rest of this week

Hope you all are having a great weekend, I gotta get down to the basement and do some laundry.

Default I'm Back!

I'm finally back, and I've missed my SAHMmies!!!!!

Congrats Becca on the great news! A new little one, nothing is so exciting or happy as that. Good luck, and keep in touch with us. You still need to eat right. In fact, I lost quite a bit the first few months of my pregnancy, simply because I'd been eating crap for so long then decided to eat right for my little one. Woo-hoo, I'm so happy for you!

Amanda: Good for you for sticking to your guns about the drugs. Drugs should be a LAST resort, and rarely used, not a first line of defense. I guarantee the doctor makes money for every kid she prescribes Aderall for. That stuff is so bad! There were "hyperactive" kids while we were growing up, and none of them were medicated; they were considered normal and just grew out of it! And from what you've said, Christian is not even hyperactive or showing any of the so-called "symptoms" of ADHD. Sorry, but I get so angry at doctors sometimes. I know this is a little different, but I used to work at a vet office where they used to prescribe all kinds of things for cats with "behavior" problems. Prozac, Nortriptylline, Buspar, lots of others. They even had me convinced my "problem cat" needed to be on Nortriptylline. Well, it stopped him from fighting with one of my other cats, but only because he was doped up and slept all day. I'd rather have the fights! Anyway, good for you and I'm so glad Christian is doing well in his new school.

Hello Alisha! I think your idea for goals by the end of the year are great! I will have to think about mine tomorrow.

Hello Julie! Congrats on the weight loss! Wow, you're doing great. You are very motivated.

Carafre! How was your trip? I hope you had a great time. Is that a number OTHER than 199 that I see on your weight tracker? Woo-hoo, you get a dancing carrot for that!

I decided to stay in Tennessee for the whole week. We had a great time. My son was thrilled to play with the cats all week. He followed his favorite one around (Echo, who's my avatar currently) and just laughing and laughing. He even got our oldest cat to play ball with him; he would throw a baseball or some other ball, and Henley would chase after it as my son would giggle like crazy.

Guess what: WE SOLD OUR HOUSE! Woo-hoo! I'm so excited. The closing isn't until December 16, but because it's this whole relocation deal, we'll be able to get our money probably by the end of next week. Then we can move the closing on our new house up and move rather quickly. Finally! I am starting to feel like a normal person again!

Okay, I've typed everyone's ears off (or eyes, I guess!). I'm so glad to see you guys again, this is the first thing I did when I got back to the hotel.

See ya tomorrow!

Default Yay!!!!!

Cindy - I am so happy for you and your family! Congrats on selling your house!!! I knew it would happen soon enough. You really deserve to feel normal again. I am also gald you guys spent some time w/ the felines!! Sounds like it was fun & needed. We have missed you! Welcome back!!

As far as our trip to Seattle went, it was great (but draining!). The kids were really very good. We had lunch in the Space Needle. So amazing! The bad part was that the day after we arrived home, I had a very bad stomach virus. Hubby came down w/ it and so did my daughter. Everyone is better now, except me! I had an awful cough & laryngitis! I feel pretty good considering. I even plan on exercising tom.!! I am proud to say that I didn't gain a pound in Seattle. I also seem to have dropped four from being sick. I decided to update my tracker b/c I am back to eating and drinking normal and am not dehydrated anymore!!! I think I actually lost more but I am not getting greedy here! ha ha

Alisha - You are fabulous! Great minds think alike, eh? WE can lose more by New Years. Race ya!!!!

Becca - Congrats!!! I am so sorry I missed seeing where you announced being P/G!!!! I hope that you are doing well & taking care of yourself!! BE HEALTHY, girl!!! WE care about YOU & the little one!!!!

I gotta go!!! Take care

I am really starting to feel back to normal again, now that Christian is doing so much better. Now if only TOM would hurry up and go away. I am having Horrible cravings, and I feel the bloat, LOL

Cindy: Congrats on Selling Your House!!!!! And here's hoping that closing on you new home goes smoothly. I bet your kitties loved having you home for a whole week, LOL.

Cara: Sorry about you getting sick, Hope you are feeling better.

Well ladies, I have to get off here. I rented Polar Express for the kids today and I have to watch it with them. Hope you all have a great night

Good evening ladies! How's everyone doing?

Carafre: I'm glad you enjoyed Seattle, but that stinks that all of you got sick. But you're better now, and back to exercising. (Did you exercise today?)

Hi Amanda! How's Christian, and how's your daughter? I know what you mean about your monthly friend, mine just left. It really does affect how I eat (that is, how MUCH I eat!).

Okay, I'm trying to think of a New Year's goal. I think I want to start using FitDay regularly by the end of the year, so that's one goal. Also to get back into a regular fitness routine again. And to get back to taking the Sir for a walk every day (even though it's cold; we'll bundle up!). That should do it. I'll go change my signature now.

Have a good evening!

Cindy

Default blah

I exercised! I also am restarting my journal! It seems like it's been forever since I exercised or journaled, but really I was so busy in Seattle (walked alot, ate less!) that I only missed one week of exercise when I was sick. I am so happy w/ that! I thought it was going to be really bad - such a pleasant surprise...

30 min. tonight! for tom. - weight training & cardio!!
hope everyone has a great night!

Cara: on the exercise! Glad you are feeling better

Cindy: Christian is doing so good at his new school! They have only had one bad day w/ him, and he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning, lol. You wouldn't believe the difference this new school has made. He is so much happier now, not just at school but everywhere. I finally have my little boy back, LOL. Haleigh is doing great also. She was so cute yesterday, lol. She had made paper snowflakes at school and she wanted to make them all evening, lol. She is SO creative, and she draws better than any 5yo I have ever met, lol. The other day she drew spongebob, complete w/ his pineapple house, Squidwards house, the road in front of the house, and the little flower looking thingies that are in the "sky" on the show.

I am SO embarrased, lol. I put all the food i ate yesterday into fitday, and it says i ate more than 2500 Cals That WILL NOT happen today, LOL. I have plenty to keep me busy today. I have to make devilled eggs for TG dinner @ my moms (oh the temptation), and I have to make a "no bake" cherry cheesecake for dinner at my MIL's. I'll be ok if I can avoid eating the devilled eggs, lol. I can do without the cheesecake

Anyways, I gotta get off here and get some laundry going. Hope you all have a great day

Default Good Morning Ladies

Yay, Carafre, for exercising! I'm so excited to get back on my treadmill and Bowflex, I'm envious! (But obvously, not so envious that I'm getting out my Pilates DVD).

Amanda: That's so good to hear that Christian is doing better. You sound much happier too. That's cute about Hayleigh's drawings. She sounds like a little artist! I don't know much about the Sponge guy yet, but I'm sure I will someday. Wow, you have 2 dinners to go to tomorrow? I wish you luck. Whether or not you're trying to lose weight, you're going to be very challenged tomorrow! But so what, take the day off and enjoy!

A confession: I bought some of this white chocolate with almonds yesterday, and ate quite a bit of it. It was very tasty and the bad thing is, there is still some left! What was I thinking?!? Argghhhhh! That's the first time in a long while that I've purposely bought something so very bad. The last time, too!

Hope you ladies all have a good day. I'll check in later. Happy Thanksgiving!

Cindy

Default Calories, shmalories

Uh, yes. Amanda's 2500+ calories are nothing compared to wherever I ended up yesterday with the white chocolate chunks. And your 3/4 of a donut? Kid stuff!

Look at us... who needs large family holiday dinners to blow our diets when we have ourselves?
